The Canbor VR headset is a good choice for anyone wanting to get a taste of VR. It’s comfortable, adjustable and extremely easy to set up. It can be used with phones from 4.7 inches to 6.2 inches, including iPhones and Android.

Design

The design uses foam padding providing a comfortable fit whilst minimising the light entering the VR headset. Further adding to comfort there is an over the head strap to distribute the weight and add extra support. The straps are all adjustable to ensure a snug fit and minimise pressure on the nose.

Using aspheric resin lens technology, the headset offers a 120 degree field of view and the phone housing has holes on both sides to help the phone stay cool. There are no buttons on the headset itself, but it does have a handheld remote.

The remote has limited functionality on iOS as with many VR controllers. It does have more functionality with Android, but it can be finicky and unreliable, with mediocre motion tracking. There are buttons to control volume, play/pause and answering the phone, as well as a touch button for games.

Compatible With:

This VR headset can accommodate for phones from 4.7 inches to 6.2 inches. Including the iPhone X/ 8/7 / 7plus / Se / 6s / 6P / 5S, Samsung s5, s6,s7,s8, s9,Note8, LG G3, G4, V10, V20 etc. You can move the phone holder to fix the phone depending on the size of the smartphone

Overall:

The Canbor VR headset is a good choice, if you just want to watch a few YouTube Videos and have some 360-degree video experiences. However compared to other headsets we’ve tested, it didn’t really meet our expectations and we would have a hard time recommending it. Check out the DESKTEK V4 Review.

The DESTEK V4 VR headset is a solid, robust virtual reality headset, perfect for anyone looking to give Virtual Reality a go. It is a fantastic price and it comes as no surprise that it is one of the best selling VR headsets on Amazon.

Design:

As with most cheap VR headsets they are mostly made from plastic and although the V4 is no different it feels durable with a solid design. I’ve tried several VR goggles in this price range and they all felt flimsy and uncomfortable. This is where the DESKTEK V4 beats it’s competition.

The headset is covered in a comfortable leather padding, which feels comfortable and lightweight when wearing for long periods. The head strap can also be adjusted to fit heads of all shapes and sizes and prevent the strap from touching your ears while also relieving pressure around your nose.

Inside the DESTEK V4 VR headset box,  you will find a head strap and a head top strap. There is also a lens cleaning cloth. The top of the headset has a distance adjuster, and there is a pupil distance adjuster underneath.

The headset has two HD lenses with an anti-blue light coating, which reflects blue light to protect your eyes. It offers a 103 degrees field of view, which lets you experience a more immersive world of virtual reality. A wider FOV would deliver a better immersive experience, but in order to do this the headset would have to have a larger diameter lens.

My favourite feature of this headset is the removable, magnetic front panel.  This allows you to use the headset for AR apps that require that your phone’s camera be exposed.

Compatible With:

DESTEK V4’s is designed such that you can adjust it to three optimum positions to fit your smartphone. The VR headset is compatible with a wide range of Android and iOS smartphones with screen sizes between 4.5-inch and 6-inch. You can use it with the iPhone Xs/Xs Max/XR/X/8/7/6s/6/6 plus, Samsung S9/S8/S8 Plus/S7/S7 Edge/S6/S6 Edge Note 9/8/5/4/3, LG g6 g5 g4 g3 v20, and Daydream phones like Google Pixel/Pixel XL, Samsung s8/s8 plus, Moto Z/Z Force, Huawei Mate 9 Pro, etc.

Overall:

Overall a good solid design, that is comfortable to wear and easy to adjust to fit your head. Unlike some VR goggles we’ve tested this one does not steam up or overheat your device when playing on mobile VR apps. There is not remote included in the basic package, however they do bundle them with remotes or you can purchase one separately.

British indie studio ‘Whitway Studios’ releases on the 2nd November it’s comedic action puzzler ‘People Cu3ed’. It’s compatible across all PC VR devices and is the first step in a release strategy that will see the game distributed to the upcoming stand-alone VR headsets (HTC Vive Focus and Oculus Quest) in early 2019 and PlayStation VR later in 2019.

The game features unique mechanics never before seen in VR, that require the player to truly think in 3 dimensions, and think on their feet to succeed in passing 40 levels, which should take many hours to complete – costing only $9.99 on release.

A fully voiced, animated (and hilarious!) cast of characters will be introduced in the game, along with a brilliant soundtrack that will get stuck in players heads long after they’ve conquered the game. Whilst given an ESRB rating of ‘Teen’, the game has humour for all ages – and encourages the player to ‘squeeze their balls’ (that happen to have replaced the players hands) to control their team of NPC’s to navigate each of the levels as a team – to ultimately win back their human form.

Recently featured across various VR media, YouTubers and Streamers, People Cu3ed can be purchased using the following link: People Cu3ed

The Pansonite VR Headset is not to be sniffed at… it’s a solid option for those looking to buy a budget virtual reality headset. This makes it great for those of you who want to experience VR without breaking the bank. If you’re looking for the best headset under $50 (£37) in 2018 then the Pansonite 3D headset is the one for you. It comes along with a Bluetooth controller, built in headphones and it’ss easy to setup and begin watching VR movies and games right out the box.

Design:

The headset is very well made and allows users to wear for extended periods without it becoming uncomfortable. The leather and sponge padding allow you to jolt your head side to side without having to take it off to wipe the steam from the lenses and maximum comfort. The good ventilation system allows you to play for longer without having to worry about your device overheating or wiping away sweat that’s dripping down your face.

The elastic with sponge padding eases pressure from one spot of your head and distributes it evenly using it’s clever designed T shape headset strap. I have passed this headset around 6+ people before, all who have had no problems adjusting the headset to their heads. It also has adjustable pupil distance and focus distance, which allows you to configure the headset to your requirements to get the best quality image.

Overall a good solid design, that is comfortable to wear and easy to adjust to fit your head. Unlike some VR goggles we’ve tested this one does not steam up or overheat your device when playing on mobile VR apps.

Sound

This mobile VR headset comes with integrated memory foam cushioned headphones that can be adjusted to fit your head. The audio quality is by no means the best but for this price it’s surprisingly good sound. Users can even answer phone calls while their smartphone is in use with the headset by simply pressing a button.

Compatible With:

The Pansonite Headset with remote controller is compatible with the latest Android handsets, iPhones and other recent smartphones with a screen size between 4.0 – 6.0 inches, such as iPhone 5/SE/6/6s/7/7/8/X plus, or Samsung S5, S6, S6 edge, S7,S8,S9 + (edge).

Overall:

The Pansonite VR headset & a compatible phone is all you need to get started with mobile VR.  The controller does not work with iPhones, which is the only downside to this headset. If you are hoping to play games with interaction and movement this won’t be a great choice unless you have an Android phone. Otherwise, it’s a really nice product. Great fit, Comfortable to wear, Good quality sound and it’s a fantastic price.

Might & Magic Elemental Guardians is a strategy RPG game available for both Android and iOS mobile devices. The game-play might look simple, but in fact it takes a little time to familiarise yourself with the UI. You must collect the various elemental guardians, train them up and take on the powerful forces of evil. This is a fresh take on the AR gaming technology, featuring high-quality visuals, strategic PvE and PvP duels, endless amounts of creatures to collect, and action-packed battles in augmented reality (AR).

You will begin your adventure by collecting creatures to level up and make your way through the story mode with various difficulties gaining you extra rewards. You’ll need to acquire resources, equip and upgrade runes and grow monsters. Players enter the Arena and challenge others from around the world in asynchronous battles whilst climbing the weekly rankings from Beginner to Master League to win rewards and you can also enter live competitions to win prizes and rare items.

Using your smartphone’s camera you can take advantage of the AR gameplay and take photos of your favourite characters in the real world and even watch PvP battles, being able to view them up close and personal or from any angle.

I have been doing daily missions and achievements with the various levels and activities to help level up. RPG mobile games often use a lot of money hungry tactics of hitting progress walls that can take days or weeks for a single level up unless you drop some cash for some ‘tokens’. This free AR game is not half as bad as many we have played and you can find lots of different ways to farm resources without spending a lot of your hard earned money. However there is an option to buy a daily pack for £4.99 and this lasts 15 days.

Overall Might & Magic App is a fun mobile game which stands out from the crowd within the RPG category. A pleasantly surprising level of depth to the strategy aspect, AR options and fantastic design is enough to keep you hooked. It lost half a star because when it comes to the arena playing against other players, it seems to give an advantage to those early starters or paying users.

Suporting both iOS and Android devices, Might & Magic Elemental Guardians is all about fast-Paced PvP combat.

You can watch this video to use as a guide for Might & Magic Elemental Guardians.

MIGHT AND MAGIC: ELEMENTAL GUARDIANS | NEW UBISOFT GAME | MOBILE RPG - YouTube

GAMEPLAY GUIDE

Although there are several different game modes, including both PvE and PvP, all of the game-play in Might & Magic: Elemental Guardians revolves around team based battles. It’s till early days and there is already updates been added, with a great team behind it.

Your creatures pound away at your enemies in auto mode whilst you sit back and relax. You can take full control of combat, but considering that most of the RPG game-play consists of working hard for those all important levels and materials, you’ll want to make use of automation from time to time.

· Intense PVE Battles: Assemble your team and summon them to fight in fast-paced RPG battles. Command them strategically, using the elements tactically.

· Fast-Paced PvP Combat: Enter the Arena and challenge players from around the world in asynchronous battles. Climb the weekly rankings from Beginner to Master League to win fantastic rewards.

· Epic Creature Evolution: Witness the transformation as creatures evolve from cute companions to legendary allies. Train their magical abilities and equip ancient Glyphs to unleash their battle prowess.

Might & Magic: Elemental Guardians Glyphs

Might & Magic: Elemental Guardians Glyphs are powerful bonus that you use on your creatures to increase their health, stealth, accuracy, and more. These items are fantastic to make use of and you can show them off in the battle arena.

You can get more Glyphs by working your way through the story mode and battle modes. You will be rewarded with new Glyphs, which will help you help you build and customise your creatures as they grow stronger with you.

The most basic types of Glyphs you can come across include  Defense, Vitality, Haste, Frenzy, Precision, Strength, Destruction and Endurance. Each of these different types of Glyphs will give your creatures boosts to strengthen them and make them more dependable.

Defense Glyphs – increase your creature’s overall defense attribute, making them stronger against incoming attacks.

Vitality Glyphs – increase your creature’s health points, which can be useful for those who have lower health.

Haste Glyphs – increase the speed attribute of your creatures, which can allow them to attack more often.

Frenzy Glyphs – increase your critical attack and make your critical attacks more powerful, as well as increase the chance that you have at earning a critical attack.

Precision Glyphs – increase the overall accuracy of your creatures, allowing them to land more attacks.

Strength Glyphs – increase your overall attack power for the create that has them inscribed upon it.

Destruction Glyphs – increase your critical power as well, making them just as useful for earning more critical attacks and really scoring those powerful hits in battle.

Endurance Glyphs – increase your creature’s overall resistance, which can help it take less damage from certain elements that it is weaker against.

VR X-Racer Best Google Cardboard VR 3D SBS Apps Gameplay Virtual Reality Video - YouTube

This has to be up there with the best VR games for iPhones and Android. If you already own a mobile VR headset then you need to download this awesome VR obstacle course racing game. We have seen time and time again where VR game developers are trying to implement controllers, special headsets and specific phone brands. This game is made with the basics in mind and you simply just tilt your head/phone and you will be in control of your very own space ship. Once you have downloaded, you are presented with simple instructions on how to play and then you are ready to start your VR adventure.

There are amazing surprises all over the game which VR app users would find relaxing. You can also turn VR off and on as you require. My major criticism would be that the game there are one too many obstacles. This makes VR mode difficult because you can turn your head a lot faster than you can tilt your head. There is also room for improvement with regards to the game add-ons and should be more ships and advance features you can buy with your points, but that has nothing to do with if the app is good or bad.

On the upside I have seen no glitches. (except that you can fly into canyon walls). The game is difficult to begin if you haven’t already experimented with mobile VR, but once you familiarise yourself with the controls then you are able to play with ease.  Personally I would encourage you not to buy the pro version, the main improvement with the premium package is that it allows you to change the colors and removes ads. I found that if you just turn off wi-fi and mobile data, it will remove the in-play ads.

This is perfect for anyone who loves obstacle course games and/or VR games for iPhone and Android.
