Women, how do we best describe them? With a million thoughts running through their head and the capacity to tolerate a lot of pain, women are God’s beautiful creatures. They are naturally born with the caregiving gene – they tend to the little boo boos a baby has or handle state affairs, without a single complaint. Yes women are from Venus and are hard to understand, but are special, sensitive, loving and strong.
If they set their minds to something they can easily achieve it. This Women’s Day, we celebrate all the women in our lives whether it is a mother who we take for granted on a daily basis because she nags and calls a hundred times just to find out if we ate, a grand mother who makes pickles and spoils you to high heavens even though she can hardly walk without help, just because she loves you, a lover or a wife who does silly things just to see you smile.
Women can cross oceans, just to bring you a chocolate or a cup of coffee or try her best to pamper you like a child no matter how old she becomes.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colours each unique with their own personality trait. They will move mountains to make sure you are safe and well taken care of (even if it means constantly nagging you to eat). It doesn’t matter who they are, they are special. Women go through a lot of physical changes throughout their life, these beautiful women from all walks of life in these pictures taken by us show that no matter what goes on, they never stop giving their all.
They are the sweetest of creatures and we the team from Zero Gravity Photography applaud and appreciate all that they do for us and wish all women a very Happy Women’s Day 2018.
This International Women’s Day, we pledge to respect women with all our hearts, and promise to cherish them all through our lives.
Whether it is in the midst of the setting sun or on the beaches with the sand under our toes, outdoor photography is a whole lot of fun.
Right from picking the location for the picture to be taken, to the lighting, every detail matters. Sometimes the best possible picture ever taken is usually one where everything around us and the couple flows in synchrony nothing altered or added. A keen eye and good ear are also important to capture that perfect moment. Like when the sunlight falls on the couple’s faces, to capture it in that split second when everything seems perfect needs a great team, we here at Zero Gravity Photography provide that for you and ensure that those pictures we fawn over while flipping through magazines are actually a reality for you.
Sometimes Mother Nature plays against our odds, but that is beauty of outdoor photography and we still overcome obstacles to get the picture we promised.
Here are the 20 best outdoor photo shoots of ours, we travel to different places just to find the perfect location to suit our client’s needs.. whether it be the beaches of Mahabalipuram or Pondicherry or to the hill stations of Ooty and also right down to namba Koyambedu Market.. we do it all! We try to capture the little nuances that go around the couple and in between the couple via our digital eye.The most romantic of pictures are where the couples get lost in the moment are sometimes so flawlessly orchestrated that the result is better than what we could have ever imagined!
Outdoor photography may seem like a hassle, but we take great pride making our couples feel like they are in their very own movie, where they are the heroes and heroines. Whether it is an outdoor wedding photo shoot, where the couple decides to tie the knot against the beautiful backdrop of the setting sun or a Brahmin wedding where the groom is walking away for his Kasi Yatra, to destination weddings sometimes on beaches others in a scenic setting surrounded by trees and grass.. or a traditional wedding where the couple just wants to do things differently sticking to their traditional roots, there is always an added oomph factor when photos are taken in the natural breeze.
The beauty of the picture gets enhanced by the love the couple have for each other and the little smiles and their inside jokes, to the warm embraces that they share or merely just holding hands.
Sometimes a kiss can hold a thousand unsaid words, and what’s better than to capture it under a blue sky.
We believe in creating a magical visual story, a story that couples can share with their children and grandchildren, something they can look at and reminisce about even when they are older. Another myth is that outdoor photography is only for weddings, but you can also use them for portraits or create memories that will last a life time. Why not give us a shot, and let us know how it is!
Annu and Balaji’s wedding was a three-day celebration of their eternal love! Done in a traditional Tamil Brahmin style, they had a mehandi, sangeet, viradham, engagement, reception and the wedding.
The bride’s hand was adorned with intricate mehandi during the function, that ripened to a deep red. (As the old wives tale goes, the darker the mehandi, the more love between the couple!) The couple looked nothing short of regal, with the bride in her red and white lehenga and the groom looking dapper in his finery.
The rest of the functions, in true Tamil Brahmin style, had the couple in traditional attire. The bride was bursting with energy in her madisar and the groom was the picture of elegance in his panchakatcham. As the couple stood in front of their friends and family to proclaim their love for each other, it was clear that the union of these two souls was meant to be!
Both Annu and Balaji loved posing for the camera, making them an absolute delight to photograph! Here is a sneak peek into their festivities.

Blush, concealers, foundations, shimmers, hair styling, etc., ruled the life of a pilot who dwelled in a cockpit. Isn’t that intriguing? An early morning hush-hush to their professional was the mutual factor of both their professions. Yet, they ensured they were with each other in the bumpy road a life. Wondering about the love story?
This isn’t any textbook love story such as Romeo-Juliet! A real-life love story which is a modern spin on the 90’s Bombay movie – filmy yet forthright. The Hero, the Groom, Farhan Sajjad is a pilot who lives a life of flying high and the Heroine, the Bride, Akriti Sachdev is a renowned Makeup Artist who makes every bride’s dream to reality. Guess what? As always, mutual friends are always the best. Akriti and Farhan met each other at a mutual friend’s party and they are proud to say that, ‘We struck the right chord at the first instinct’.
The Love Flight took off six years ago when they both hadn’t started their professional life. Blessed they were, a perfect time to get to know each other and their depth of love to hold each other’s hands during the formative years of their career. The love blossomed into a strong pillar of support! Alas! True love always triumphs the odds!
Just a few weeks back, Farhan went a little out of the box and meticulously planned a proposal for her. Very filmy yet delightful. A proposal in the early hours of the day, on a hot air balloon, 2500 feet in the air, near Sigriya in Sri Lanka! Guess our hero, the Groom and his dreams are always flying high! Lucky Akriti, a dreamy proposal from the love of her life.
It was time, the families got involved and gave a green signal for this relationship. Kudos to their attitude towards life and upbringing, there were no negative thought infused. Even though both the families were from a different religious and cultural background, the respect for each other’s and couple’s thoughts, values and emotions were a front-foot sixer in this love story. An intimate betrothal with the closely knitted circle of family and friends marked the beginning of a beautiful and inspiring tale of life.
A post-engagement bash of music and dance, just for those intimate threads their life – friends and family added to the magical of romance to their world of love. An LED dance floor along with blockbuster Bollywood and Hollywood beats of music infused the flavor and color of fun and masti..
In the times, when marriages are broken for petty reasons, Akriti & Farhan are creating historic wedding tales for the next generation to inspire and look back and get the strength to persevere love and marriage with patience and trust and be the wind behind the wings of each other. Say what you want about 2017, it has been extremely kind to us!
We have shot hundreds of weddings, across several locations, adapting to several different styles with one universal fact – the bride is the centre of attention (and rightly so)! We have seen it all – from a shy coy bride to a bride riding in on a motorbike to her Sangeet (serious swag points to her.) But why should we have all the fun? Here is a round-up of some of the best brides of 2017.
On their wedding day a woman looks her best, after all, the term ‘bridal glow’ was coined for a reason. Her features soften under the dull glow of marital bliss, her eyes speak of a powerful love, and the curves of her lips have a mischievous optimism. Every time we are booked to shoot a wedding, we are deeply humbled that you chose us to be part of your special day.
Here is to an amazing 2018 and ladies we hope this year brings you plenty of reasons to flash that smile we have been so fortunate to capture!
For Haritha and Varun, it was love at first sight! Though the couple met through the conventional arranged marriage route, there is nothing conventional about them. The first time they started talking, sparks started flying, and they both knew they had found ‘The One.’
At Zero Gravity, we believe each wedding is a love story waiting to be told, and we are storytellers behind the lens. We have been part of the Haritha -Varun story from their engagement through their wedding. Their story reaffirms our faith in love and romance. Here is a snapshot of some our most favourite memories from their big day!
“Glow is the essence of beauty” they say. Haritha justifies it effortlessly with her glow.
As the beautiful couple drive off to their ‘Happy Ever After’ we wish love, happiness and peace for now and forever more.
Halloween, the scariest time of the year was the setting for this couple’s love story. Kevin was a charmer, and Monicka was not immune to them! When they are not busy giving us some serious #CoupleGoals, they are battling it out in the ‘War of Puns.’ Even Monicka must admit, Kevin is a master.
After a year and a half of dating, Kevin decided it was time to pop the question. On their vacation to Hawaii, with the breezy sunset as his backdrop he got down on one knee (boy, does he know how to make a girl say HELL YES!) This couple is the proof that love stories exists, and happy endings are more than just a fairy-tale myth.
The couple and their sets of parents made for one beautiful family. Monika’s parents welcomed Kevin with open arms and accepted their love unconditionally. Kevin’s mother was instrumental in planning the wedding and as the saying goes ‘When a couple gets married, the parents don’t lose their children, but gain a son and daughter.’
Love entrails a journey that sets the path for two individuals from different walks of life to affiliate to find a destiny of their own.Such was the love story of Gautham & Jayalakshmi! A couple that went against all odds and anchored into the commitment of wedlock. With the blessings of both the families, the couple had an extravagant gala at the MRC,Chennai.
Gautam and Jayalakshmi’s wedding celebrations started off with a bang as close friends and family swayed to the joyous occasion. The classy outfits paired with some thrilling dance moves proved the night to be memorable for the couple as the atmosphere was filled with thrill towards the wedding that was mixed with some upbeat and fun tunes!
The story of this perfect wedding unfolds with the magical stares between the bride and her groom, as the love and beauty in the air takes more form. There’s a sparkle in her eye as she sits by the fire, and smiles elegantly into the camera.
First of all, thank you for sharing my story and I am happy to give my two cents to help our pretty future brides.
I definitely went through all the planning, talking, lots of researching, stressing that every bride goes through to ensure her big day is as special as it could be.
It was definitely a bit challenging to plan all of my events from United States but I was really lucky to have worked with very nice professionals.
Soon after my parents finalized the dates, I approached A Ibrahim anna to make sure he is available. I totally considered it my first win to book him. I really had no one else in my mind to do my makeup other than him and I was so glad I chose him. He did a fabulous job and my pictures speak for themselves
My next step was to find the photographers to capture our wedding moments for a lifelong memory. Of course, I could not think of anyone other than Zero Gravity Photography. My best friend who was helping me with my wedding planning from India did not give me any other option. It was super easy to finalize with them and they were very nice to work with. Ajay and Vikas (founders of ZG) built a very good rapport which made it very comfortable to work with them.
I was very lucky to have Suganya Babu founder of S Studio design my clothes for outdoor photoshoots, mehendi, sangeeth ,reception and wedding. She took care of everything. A great piece of advice: find that one designer whom you can totally trust and rely on to look amazing on your big day. Suganya, who was actually my professor at college turned out to be my best friend and the best designer I could ever find. She worked late hours with me to make sure I am happy with what she was designing.
We had so much fun at our sangeet. We and our friends and family practiced for Sangeet incorporating songs in all the languages we speak. Sringa from Kabooki Makeup Artistry did my make up for my sangeet and did a great job hosting the sangeet.
I went with Madras Mehndi Studio for mehendi. I loved the intricate designs by Sujitha. She was very creative and patient
All my sarees were from the one and only Babu Sha (Kanchipuram). I made my life a little easy by deciding my wedding saree color even before I started looking at their wide range of collections. I was happy to get a very unique combination of colors and a beautiful design in my wedding saree. After all the browsing, I decided I have to go on a hunt for a navy blue velvet Lehenga for my Reception (yes, I was particular about the color too) and I found what I was looking for at Rang Roop (Shanti Colony). I also found my Sangeet outfit at the same store. My husband found his reception outfit at Moksha which totally complimented my outfit. We stuck to the velvet fabric theme which gave a very rich look to our outfits and complemented our wedding reception background. With not a lot of time left to shop, deciding the color and fabric helped make it easy for us to decide. My husband shopped at Manyavar and Louis Philippe for all the other events. We shopped at Sri Chamundi Jewel Palace and Saravana Stores Thanga Nagai Maligai for jewelry.
We chose Maldives for our honeymoon and the beauty of nature did not fail to impress us. We took almost every means of transportation to get there: local airplane, speed boat, buggies. We stayed at the Park Hyatt resort on Hadahaa island. We were so relaxed and one with the nature. It was a great finish to our fabulous wedding experience.
A huge thanks to all my friends and families in India and USA who have helped me in every possible way and thanks to Ezwed for inspiring me with great ideas and trends.
