Ready to find more work?

After a tremendous amount of planning and development, it is with great excitement that we announce the launch of BuildWorks Canada on Thursday, August the 16th.

BuildWorks Canada is the construction procurement and business development platform your business needs and has been developed in partnership with local construction associations in Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Replacing the provincial BUILDWORKS brand you’ve been using, BuildWorks Canada will maintain a locally connected service, while providing cross-province visibility for your project opportunities. BuildWorks Canada is where the work is, and through our new partnership and directory service we will expand your visibility and help you connect to the right projects for your expertise.

You will be able to access the new BuildWorks Canada service by using your existing username and password, and you should still have access to all your favourited projects. Head to http://www.buildworkscanada.com on August 16th and use your existing username and password to log in. You’ll also notice the BUILDWORKS link of winnipegconstruction.ca has been updated to point you to the new platform. If you have trouble logging in, give us a call at 204-774-2431 or email us at cis@winnipegconstruction.ca.

Please note that due to the platform change there will be system maintenance on Wednesday, August 15 at 7:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.

Important things to know:

  1. The BUILDWORKS service will be taken down temporarily at 7:00 p.m. central Wednesday, August 15th for the transition to BuildWorks Canada. The estimated service outage time is 6-8 hours.
  2. Access BuildWorks Canada on August the 16th at www.buildworkscanada.com or by visiting us at http://www.winnipegconstruction.ca and following the BuildWorks Canada link at the top of the page. For assistance with passwords please call WCA at 204-774-2431
  3. You will need to select a province from the left-hand menu to search for opportunities in the relevant area.
  4. Update your directory listing under “My Account” to be sure your scope of work, contact information and other details are accurate.
  5. Ensure your business is being found by upgrading your directory profile to a Premium Listing.
  6. If you have any questions or concerns– contact WCA at 204-774-2431 or cis@winnipegconstruction.ca

WCA’s BUILDWORKS program is upgrading to a new multi-provincial platform called BuildWorks Canada on Thursday, August 16. This platform will help you find more work, connect you to jobs across the prairies and provide you with a better overall user experience. Here’s how:

BuildWorks Canada is a construction procurement and business development platform created in partnership with local construction associations in Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Replacing the provincial BUILDWORKS platform you’ve been using, BuildWorks Canada will maintain a locally connected service, while providing cross-province visibility for your project opportunities. BuildWorks Canada is where the work is, and through our new partnership and directory service we will expand your visibility and help you connect to the right projects for your expertise.

Check out this short video for a brief introduction to BuldWorks Canada

Here’s what you can expect as a WCA member and user of BuildWorks Canada:

  • Get connected to local industry knowledge, information, and opportunities across Saskatchewan and Alberta in addition to your current access in Manitoba.
  • The new BuildWorks Canada public directory – the largest, most comprehensive database of qualified contractors, suppliers, and service providers available in Canada. A place to advertise your company, and highlight past projects, qualifications, key personnel, and more, to the entire industry.
  • Major upgrades to the software and user Interface.  You spoke – we listened!
  • Access to OnDemand at no cost to members and ALL invited bidders through our private Invitation to Bid service.
  • Advertising – Maximize your marketing budget with the ability to target your local market through our new upgraded advertising tool.

We’ve been working hard to have this service ready for our members and we’re excited to launch it on Thursday, August 16. While you’ll notice the interface has changed, your login information should remain the same, and any projects you’ve marked as favourites should also be saved.  BuildWorks Canada uses the same software platform we have been using for years with significant improvements, so you should feel confident and comfortable very quickly.

Please note that BUILDCAST, our Prebid product, and any reports you receive from it will not be changing at this time.

Questions or concerns? Don’t hesitate to reach out to the WCA Construction Information Services team at cis@winnipegconstruction.ca or 204-774-2431

For years, WCA has been providing the local construction industry with Upword Magazine, a key source for industry information and analysis of the latest issues, project profiles, training and events relevant to WCA members. Starting with our first issue of 2018, we’re excited to re-brand that magazine as Build Manitoba.

Build Manitoba will provide the same great content you’ve come to expect from the magazine, with a suitable new name and a fresh and clean new look. Check out the first issue since the re-brand here.
