I have some exciting news! Earlier this year I put my flat up for sale and accepted an offer from a young couple looking to buy their first home. Which also means that I’m (hopefully..) buying new house! If you’ve been following my blog for a while then you’ll remember that back in 2017 I moved out of my parents house and into my own place which I spent lots of time doing up and making my own. I’m sad to…

Last month we spent the weekend in the quaint little market town of Woodstock in Oxfordshire. We were invited to stay at The Feathers Hotel which is a 17th century town house which has been turned into a charming boutique hotel. Woodstock is located about 20 minutes north of Oxford city centre and on the edge of The Cotswolds, so it’s the perfect place to stay if you’d like a weekend away with plenty of pretty villages nearby. The historic town…

I was recently invited to visit the newly refurbished gastro pub called The Lazy Pig in the Pantry in the market town of Chesham in Buckinghamshire. We were so lucky that the day we visited was the hottest weekend of the year so we chose to sit outside so we could enjoy the beautiful sunshine! The pub features a mix of contemporary and traditional décor which brings the outdoors indoors with lots of stylish tropical accents, plant features and fancy accessories…

Last month I was kindly invited to check out the new Marriott hotel in Oxford. The Courtyard by Marriott hotel is located south of the city centre in Abingdon, which was just a short drive south from Oxford itself. It’s also within reach of Bicester Village shopping outlet and many of The Cotswolds villages, so it’s an ideal location to explore the local Oxfordshire area. Oxford Oxford is one of the most popular places in the UK to visit, so we…

If you’re looking for something family friendly to do over the Easter break, then why not host an Easter themed afternoon tea party? I recently invited some of my girlfriends round for my own afternoon tea with lots of yummy treats! It’s great way to catch up with family or friends and is easier than cooking up a big meal. It’s quite fun to set up and put it all together too! Any excuse for me to whip out my vintage…

I am proud to say that I was born in Milton Keynes and I even bought my first home here (and will be staying in MK when I buy my next place!). It’s a really unique town – I absolutely love it here and I can’t imagine ever living anywhere else to be honest. Milton Keynes is sometimes mocked by those who have never actually visited – but there’s plenty more to the town than just concrete cows and roundabouts (although…

A couple of weekends ago (when it was the hottest February on record!) we went for a lovely little weekend away to Norfolk. I love exploring the UK, and we were kindly invited to stay at Woodlakes Park; a log cabin holiday park with fishing lakes set within 66 acres of rural parkland. The park is located near to Stowbridge in King’s Lynn, but the nearest town is Downham Market which is a short drive away. The north Norfolk coast is…

Merlin (my beautiful, fluffy ragdoll cat) is almost 7 years old! It still feels like only yesterday that we picked him up from the breeder and he was so tiny. I knew from our first moment that we would be best of friends, which sounds awfully cheesy, but it’s so true. And I’m not alone; according to the Petplan Pet Census 2018, 41% of owners refer to their pet as their best friend, and 44% call their pet their “baby”.. which…
