Hi there! I’m Elly and I am a wife to an incredible hubby (Jordan) and mother of our two adorable little boys. I started this blog in order to escape from the madness of life and to be able to connect with other women, like me, who have a love for faith, fashion, beauty and everything in between.
Eyeshadow palettes can be expensive, and there are so many different colors in one eyeshadow palette- I mean, where do you start and what colors go with what?! One of my all-time favorite palettes is the Sigma Warm Neutrals.
The Sigma Warm Neutrals volume 2 palette is the one palette I take traveling with me, and I love how I have a little bit of everything in the one palette. I can create something dramatic or something a bit softer for the everyday look. The colors are well pigmented, and there is little fallout! It’s a great palette to have.
It does no good though to share this palette and not share multiple ways to use it- so here it is (video is down below) three EASY ways to wear the Sigma Warm Neutrals Volume 2 palette!
Back with an all-new updated video on how to curl your hair with a flat iron! It’s been almost 3 years since I did my last tutorial on how I curl with a flat iron, so it’s about time we do a new one. Curling my hair with a straightener/flat iron may be the easiest and fastest way for me to curl my hair.
I’ve curled my hair before plenty of times with a flat iron, and though the look can be different from curling with a wand, you can still get gorgeous waves. As always here are a few key pointers you need to know;
One thing I get asked a lot is if I get my eyebrows waxed, or I groom and shape them myself. Short answer: I do them myself, and today I wanted to share my tips and tricks on how to do YOUR eyebrows.
Here is my long answer, believe it or not, back in my high school day, my brows were paper thin and a straight line. Then years later, I got married and found a girl at Ulta at the brow bar, and she brought them back to life. Along the way she gave me pointers and taught me how to do my own eyebrows.
If you still can’t figure out how to do your eyebrows, I would highly recommend seeing one of the eyebrow specialists at Ulta. Watch carefully, asl questions and learn as much as you can! Slowly but surely, you’ll be the one doing a how-to video soon!
I hope you enjoy the video below, and if you have any questions, make sure to comment below!
If you have been following me over on Instagram, you know I have been OBSESSED with the post braid curls. I can’t braid myself, so I found a salon to braid my hair. I kept thinking to myself there has to be a tool out there to help me mimic this look without having to pay for someone to braid my hair. And what do you know, I found the Revlon Jumbo 3 Barrel Hair Waver.
I have found my dream tool, well no, my dream tool is the Revlon One step Hair Dryer. But this new Revlon Jumbo 3 Barrel Hair Waver is my second favorite.
My tips on nailing this look are;
Get yourself a texture spray. It will help with volume and make the style last longer.
Get as close to the root of your hair as you possibly can. This will also help with volume and make the curl look more natural.
Finally, don’t curl all of your ends, leave some uncurled. Again, this gives less of a “polished” look.
I’m still on the fence on what to actually call this hairstyle. It’s not beachy waves, but deep waves aren’t correct also. Whatever this hairstyle is, I am obsessed with it. What would you call this hairstyle? Comment below!

I get asked a lot on how to make your makeup last, and today I wanted to share some of my tips on how I make my makeup last all. Day. Long.!
As a mom of three, there are many, and I mean MANY days where I have less then 20 minutes (and that’s if I am lucky) to get ready. A 5-minute makeup routine is something I could probably do with my eyes closed, I have perfected this quick and easy look like nobody’s business! And like any good friend, I want to share with you my 5 minute makeup tutorial.
It’s not glam, it’s not over the top (but if you’re looking for a glam makeup look you can check out this tutorial), it is more of making the skin look a bit more even, adding a little bit of color and boom, you’re good to go.
