This month beer of the month award goes to "Strongest Possible Language" byYorkshire Square Brewery.
Color Opaque/Dark Brown
This smooth beer gives you light notes of molasses and coffee. It is both rich and creamy. It's overlaying flavor is that of a smokey bourbon that is silky and full. You can hardly taste any hops, thus making it very easy to drink but a few of these can make you feel really "happy" really fast.
Welcome to the first entry of our monthly brewery review. This month we'll be looking at "Yorkshire Square Brewery" located in Torrance, CA. Opened in 2017, Yorkshire Square Brewery specializes in "English Style" beer. For the most part, their selections of beer are real smooth and easy to drink, nothing too hoppy nor bitter, many of their beers that they have on tap are cask beers a.k.a "Real English Ale"
Their facility is very clean and neat. A lot of open space which makes the navigation of the brewery very easy and fun.
The atmosphere of the brewery is that of an english pub, with football jerseys hanging on one side of the wall, football matches broadcasting on their tvs on the weekends. (not a Leeds United fan, but I'll stick around for the Arsenal games). They also have a darts board if you're not into sports but appreciate the ambiance.
The bartenders are not only welcoming and friendly, but also very informative and will answer any questions in regards to the process of their beer. Not to mention that their recommendation was on par to my personal liking.
So if you're ever in town, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed. Cheers!!
This month's award goes to Ximix Craft Exploration Company. Their Citra Nebula Hazy IPA is not only refreshing and smooth, but is perfect to quench one's thirst on a hot summer day. There hasn't been another beer like this one that has really made me remember why I'm passionate for craft beer. It reminded me of my very first IPA that made fall in love with style to begin with. I highly recommend not only this beer in particular, but the brewery itself. Friendly and chill atmosphere and down to earth staff. If you're ever in the south bay in California, I insist that you make a quick stop.
This month's award for beer of the month goes to Brouwerij West "Super Collider IPA"
Style: India Pale Ale
Color: Hazt straw yellow.
This fabulous IPA, has a refreshing flavor that pleases both traditional and non traditional IPA drinkers. It's flavor compliments anyones tastebuds, the "bitterness" doesn't overstays its welcome. One of my personal favorites for sure. I would recommend this particular beer to pair with just about anything.
This fantastic German Pilsner is both smooth, soft, and a little hoppy. By far the most popular beer at this brewery. Its pleasant flavor isnt overwhelming nor is it too "tart" like many Pilsners. A great food pairing with this delicious beer, include but not limited with
some seared scallops, grilled shrimp flatbread, or fish tacos.
This month's award for beer of the month goes to Smog City's "Wow Pop!"
Style: American Pale Ale
Color: Cloudy straw yellow.
This delicious APA falls down between an "Amber Ale" and a "IPA". The perfect balance of hops and malt, makes this fantastic beer an easy to drink refreshing beer. If you're looking to pair it with something to eat, anything relating to fatty foods would complement this well rounded medium body ale.
This month's award for beer of the month goes to State Brewery "Baby Merman"
Style: Hoppy Pilsner
The perfect combination of a pilsner mixed with some hops, to form the best of both worlds. The hops are prominent yet subtle, not too overwhelming but enough to satisfy anyones pallet. Strong aroma of lemon zest, but light on the citrus taste. Perfect if paired with any craft cheeseburger or some delicious buffalo wings.
