Quick Tutorial For Creating Your DIY Indoor Greenhouse
Building an indoor greenhouse is actually very simple, and indoor greenhouses are much less expensive than purchasing a mature plant. I'll walk you through the process of creating your own DIY indoor greenhouse so you will be able to start your very own fruit, vegetable or flower garden.

Seed Starter Greenhouse
Whichever brand you choose will work just fine. Just make sure it has enough pods for the seeds you'll be planting.
Seed of your choosing (fruits and vegetables are always fun to grow!)
Seed Starter Soil (I like to buy organic if I'm planting something we'll be eating)
Empty Spray Bottle (go to dollar tree...$1!)

The Process--Creating Your DIY Indoor Greenhouse:
For these photos, I will be using a variety of different indoor greenhouse starter kits (because i had a large gardening project), so don't let the it throw you off. They are all pretty much the same and you can't go wrong with anything you get.
Next, you will fill each container with soil about 1/2-3/4 full, then fill your spray bottle with water. BEFORE you plant seed, you need to really spray down the soil (very, very moist).
I love getting my kids involved in helping me create our diy indoor greenhouse, and they love it, too!
Then, add seed to each pod by pouring some seed into the palm of your hand, then sprinkling it over the soil pod--it's better to be generous with seed :) **Don't forget to record your plants as you go!
Once you finish this, go ahead and fill the containers with soil, then spray down again! I always cover mine with plastic wrap to ensure that the soil stays damp.
Cover your DIY indoor greenhouse, then store in a place with consistent temperature and NO SUNLIGHT. I keep mine above my cabinets in the kitchen.
It should take about 8-10 days to start to see your plant sprout. Wait about 7-8 days to check on your plants, and once you notice your first sprout, remove the plastic wrap. By day 12, your seeds should germinate (unless otherwise noted on your seed packets).

Another thing we love about it is that you also have an option for low-speed for certain fruits and vegetables that are more heat sensitive.
The Clean-up. ⚠︎
In the past, I would avoid the juicing process entirely because of the amount of time it would take to clean every nook and cranny, but that isn't the case with the Juice Fountain. It takes less than 10 seconds to disassemble the four parts, and just 2 minutes to rinse. I have found that it's better to spend the money on a product you will use than to save a few pennies on something that will never get touched. The components on the Juice Fountain are also dishwasher safe, which is not the case for many other juicers.

Making sure the juicer components dry completely is crucial, otherwise they will rust. We left town for a few days with a speck of built-up water in the lip of the main component, and rust tried to make it's way in. The price is also pretty steep, but that's the case for most juicers, if you're looking for a quality, long-lasting juicer.

I'm not sure how y'all feel about grace, but I could just soak in it all day. I love grace when it gets ME out of a pickle, but grace isn't as fun when you're on the other side of it. It's a marathon--a long distance race that we've committed to, and just as much as I need God's grace, they need mine every step along the way.

hen I read this verse as a new mom, it did some serious tugging at my heartstrings. Maternal love is the most raw and tender form of love that can't even be expressed through words. I will never forget the moment I laid eyes on my beautiful 6lb, 18.5" baby girl, that I had been wobbling around with for the last 9 months. I immediately, and I mean immediately, experienced an inconceivable amount of love that overflowed our of my eyeballs as I held my sweet girl for the first time. Within seconds my motherly instinct revved up and I was in full-on mommy mode--everyone wash your hands! It was then that everything within me wanted to protect her. God compares His love for us BEYOND that, which is beyond me!
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
The most humbling part of motherhood is asking for help. It's acknowledging that we are incapable of fulfilling a need, and that's just painful and hard to do, but what if prayer was the answer and you missed out on something great because you never asked? I tend to react first, then pray later, but I wonder how many times I've missed out on something great for taking matters into my own hands first.

Mom. Sometimes, I can hardly believe that I own that title. I get to describe myself as a mom! I remember sitting in my kindergarten classroom daydreaming about the day of becoming a mom. It was an innate desire for me, and I got to practice that role on my favorite baby dolls, Rachel #1, Rachel #2, and Rachel #3.
Now, here I am. A mom.
Being a mom with two under the age of three is such a challenge. I wish I could say I was the perfect mom, but I'm not. I do try to be the best mom I can be, and I have accepted that that's all I can do.
I have always made it a point to show my kids affection. It's something I know they desperately need. I know for some people this doesn't come naturally, but it always has for me because it's my love language--physical touch. I love to love on my babies.
But after an awesome message at church on Sunday, I realized that there was an area in my parenting that I really needed to work on; It's reminding my kids when I love them--all the time. We all love our babies--we may not like them sometimes, but we sure do love them! It's easy to show them how much we love them when they're happy and life is peachy, but isn't it so much harder when your little one is in a bad mood or throwing a temper-tantrum over wanting the pink sock instead of the blue? Of course! I want my two kiddos to grow up knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that their Mama loved them 100% of the time, and that there was never anything they could have done to become unloved by me--to know that when they were the most unlovable, they were still loved unconditionally. Why? Because this is the way Christ loves each and every one of us.
I originally started reminding my daughter of this without any expectation other than to just reinforce that truth, but it has actually lead to much better behavior for her. She has been such a better listener and has spent a lot less time in timeout since I started speaking these simple yet powerful words over her.

Today my husband and I celebrate 4 years of marriage. My husband and I have a very unique love story. This is when I saw my husband for the first time in a completely different light--the depth of his radiant and beautiful heart. His response to my pain was displaying the unconditional love he has for me. He would pray over me in the middle hours of the night. I'd wake up to a bathroom full of love notes and flowers in our vase on the table. I'd get a package in the mail with something that Trey knew would make me smile. He would fill my bathtub with bubbles and light candles to create a relaxing experience for me, and he'd take the kids to get donuts to give me a little peace and quiet. I can honestly say that he never once grew frustrated with me for the lack of control over my own emotions...not one time. He stood by me, never letting me doubt his love for me.
It makes me cry just typing this because I don't know what I did to deserve such an amazing man. He has been my ROCK, and for that, I am forever grateful.

The 8 Week Program Schedule
All you do is purchase the FitnessBlender ebook, written by Kelli Segars (who is absolutely phenomenal), which provides you with video workout day-by-day schedule. You will then access the same free videos found on youtube, but you will get more information with this program, like nutritional advice, estimate of calories burned, and motivation and tips for living a healthy life.
In the FitnessBlender 8 Week Program, you will do a variety of workouts, and I mean VARITY! The workouts are about an hour long, on average, and some are longer for the 1,000 calorie video workouts. You will do everything from Pilates to weight training, some cardio (high and low impact), lots of body weight exercises, plyometrics and... drum roll... the famous HIIT workouts (they're killer).
The video workout intensity within the program range, but I've worked out all of my life and I was sore the entire 8 weeks. That being said, if you are a beginner in the fitness department, these workouts are still right for you! Kelli provides you with some alternative workouts (during the first 2 weeks) to slowly transition you into the full-fledged burn. You could also slow the pace by pausing the video if you feel you are being overworked, another reason I love working out from home!
The FitnessBlender 8 week program focuses primarily on reducing overall body fat and getting toned, but I also noticed a big difference in my strength and flexibility (thanks to the Yoga workouts and stretching). The workout calendar provides you with a 5 day/week workout schedule (with workout videos), and the option to pick up a 6th day...no thanks, at least not the first time around!
In addition to the program's workout videos and workout schedule, you also get a clean eating guide that teaches you HOW to eat clean. The benefits to tracking calories are endless, and studies are revealing that it is crucial when trying to not just lose weight, but to stay healthy.
The only workout equipment you need for this program is a set of dumbells. Yep, that's it!
This was the hardest part of the program for me--the clean eating. The guide is amazing, as it is very in-depth, but putting it into action was difficult. The important thing is just to stick with it in the beginning. By the end of the 8 week program, you'll be so done with sugar, and so pleased with the results that you'll quit thinking about chocolate desserts...well, sometimes you'll think about them.
The cost of this FitnessBlender program is minimal. It's $15 for the entire 8 weeks, which makes the program just a quarter a day. Again, this gives you not only the workouts, but provides you with an extensive clean eating guide. This is the key to fat and weight loss!!!
I was very pleased with my results by the end of the 8 week program. I didn't actually lose much weight with this program (wasn't my target goal) but I did go from 20% body fat to 17% body fat. To drop 3% body fat so quickly was shocking, as I have been working out my whole life and it just doesn't normally shed that quickly (especially after two children...). My pants are also very loose now, even my belts, woo hoo!
According to the FitnessBlender Facebook page, the changes you're expected to see are not just pertaining to body fat and composition, but even improvements in mood, energy and sleep. I didn't notice a huge difference in my energy level-- In fact, I'm pretty sure my energy decreased because I was so exhausted after each work out (and the rest of the day) but I did notice positive changes in my mood and sleep patterns.
In addition to all of these great things, I also noticed a tremendous increase in my flexibility after the 8 week program, thanks to those good ole' Yoga classes! I have never really been a Yoga person, but now I'm a huge fan. I love to run. I always have, and I always will--not because I love the way I fit in my jeans (although that's a huge bonus), but because I'm obsessed with serotonin and dopamine--the two powerful chemicals responsible for "runner's high". • Exercise helps with depression.
There have been many studies done about exercise not just helping, but actually treating mild to moderate depression--better than prescription medications in fact. There are many reasons for this. Exercise triggers chemical changes in the brain that bring on a sense of calm. It also releases endorphins & serotonin, powerful chemicals in your brain that boost you with energy and an overall sense of well being, or what I call "the feel goods".
• Exercise helps with anxiety.
I never struggled with this until my first baby left the womb--then it hit me like a ton of bricks. Exercise relieves anxiety through the production of new neurons (which are more excitable than old ones) and through the release of endorphins.
• Exercise helps you deal with stress.
You know that tight feeling in your chest you get when you just feel overwhelmed? Or maybe yours is in the form of a headache, stomach issues, or lack of energy. Exercise helps with all of that. When you exercise, your brain produces...you'll never guess...endorphins (can I just keep saying endorphins over and over?)—chemicals in the brain that act as natural painkillers, and relieve stress.
So now that we see the benefits of exercise, how do we deal with the mom-guilt?
Come to the realization that exercise isn't just another time-demanding activity, but a longterm investment in health.
Exercise is so much more than just a task on your to-do list. It's actually taking care of yourself, and treating your body with respect. Our bodies were created to exercise. If we aren't taking care of ourselves, how will we ever give our family what they need from us? They need us to be energized, happy, and resilient. If you can manage these things on your own, hats off to you, but I can't and I need that physical activity each day to give me that boost!
Stressed out moms tend to make stressed-out kids. Stress-free moms create happier, stress-free kids.

Make a plan, and stick to it!
Show your family that health is a priority--not just for you, but for your kids as well! Pre-plan your exercise routine, whenever it fits for you. Write it down somewhere--you're 50% more likely to achieve that goal than if you don't write it down. Explain to your kids (even small ones) that healthy is important to you and exercising makes you a happier mom. Immediately after my runs my daughter asks me "Mommy, do you feel happy now?"
Wake up a little earlier.
Studies show that you are more likely to stick to your workout goals if you get it done it in the morning--when willpower is strongest. This might be the only time in the day when your husband is home, so you can head to the gym. If that isn't an option for you, just head down to the living room and start a new video workout (there are some really good ones that will kick your bum--posted below) My friend, Sarah (mom of 4), wakes up at 5 every single morning to do her Beachbody workouts. She never misses one because it's a plan, a routine, and she makes no excuses.
Plan for an extra-fun activity each day.
If you actively plan a fun quality-time activity (whether it be a craft, trip to the park, a playdate with friends or a fun backyard picnic), you'll likely alleviate some of that the mom-guilt. I often do this when I do longer workouts. Quality is so much more important to your kids than quantity.
Squeeze in a stroller run.
Running with a jogging stroller is NOT easy, I know, but that's a huge benefit to you! You will get a workout in twice as fast, plus your kids get to be involved in the process. My daughter (almost 3) has just reached the age where she wants to run the last quarter-mile leg with me, so I'm getting to model for her the importance (and fun aspect) of exercise.
