Pittsburgh Modular started a Kickstarter campaign for their latest West Coast inspired synthesizer which was fully funded within hours. The Voltage Research Laboratory is designed with a experimental sound synthesis in mind, featuring a complex oscillator, wave folder, 2 function generators, 2 dynamic controllers, and an analog delay. With a classic Don Buchla inspired West Coast styled touch plate interface, the synth is sold as a complete system, or as a stand alone synth block to be integrated in to a separate eurorack system.
DJ’s, producers, and floor sitting musicians rejoice as Korg have released a Minilogue XD Module. The module allows for polychining of 2 minilogue xd for up to 8 voices polyphony. This module packs a lot of synthesis power into it’s 5.73 lb case.

I am selling off my eurorack modular synth. Everything’s going to go. The first round of modules are for sale at the Reverb link below. If you see something you want that is not on Reverb contact me directly and we can work something out. Buy the whole thing and I’ll throw in the case, power supplies, and patch cables for free.
Korg Have updated their successful Minilogue analog synth with the Minilogue XD, which introduces a digital multi engine and effects from the Prologue line. The Multi Engine adds a digital noise generator and a Variable Phase Modulation/ FM oscillator, as well as user generated waveforms. Digital effects have been added including modulation, reverb and delay. The 16 step sequencer features a motion sequencer allowing for the automation of modulation as well as pitch.
Korg have introduced the Volca Drum, a 6 part portable drum machine, with 16 kit patch memory. It features a physical modeling synth engine, with dual layer drum sounds. Sine, sawtooth, and noise waveforms are able to be manipulated by wave folder and bit reduction to create some metallic and nasty percussive sounds. It also features a waveguide resonator to add sympathetic resonances to your sounds. The Volca Drum has a 16 step sequencer that not only sequences drum patterns but can modulate different parameters as well.
The Volca is a unique unique drum machine for $149.
New Korg Volca Modular is Korg’s take on “West Coast” style modular synthesis. The simi-modular synth has 8 separate modules. An audio source module, featuring a triangle oscillator and a wave folder, for creating more harmonically complex sound. A dual LPG, a cross between a low pass filter and a voltage control amplifier. There is a Woggle random source generator, Functions containing an Attack Decay and Hold EG as well as a Rise Fall (AD) EG, a mixer utility, sequencer and reverb round out the modules. Living up to it’s semi-modular nature, the Volca Modular contains 50 patch points, for almost limitless sonic variation and manipulation.
Korg packs a lot of sonic possibilities into this diminutive synth all for $199.
