What I wore on Sunday.
It’s almost getting warm enough to retire my winter coats and move onto lighter
pieces. This vintage men’s leather jacket is one of my all time favs. The shape is
just everything! Despite how oversize it is, it still keeps it’s boxy form which just
makes it a styling dream! I love pairing it with skinnier trousers to really emphasize
the contrasting shapes. The details are important to think about with an all black look!

So here’s what’s got me inspired this month.
Skirt suits from past collections, Proenza Schouler’s feminine and oh so sexy
approach to styling a blazer, Lemaire’s technique of layering shirts from different styles,
edgy leather pants and the wooden lace up sandals from the most recent H&M Studio
collection. It feels like spring is taking it’s sweet time to get here, but it hasn’t stopped me
from planning out my spring/summer wardrobe!
The puffiest coat.
When it comes to winter coats I always go for the long and oversize ones. Last
week I got the chance to wear this copper puffer coat from Anni Ruuth. Not a color
that I usually go for but I love a challenge and this coat did keep me warm!
I paired it with an all black look to keep it more on the minimal side.

A simple color combination.
Here’s a look from a little while ago when I wore this giant camel coat with
an all white look. I do love a simple color combination. I think sometimes it doesn’t
have to be too complicated with lots of colors if the details are interesting. The bow
on the blouse and the exaggerated shapes are what turn this minimal look into something
way edgier and less casual, even tho we’re only working with 3 colors. The vinyl boots
really add to the cool factor and of course it wouldn’t be me
if I wasn’t wearing tiny sunglasses.

As always, Balenciaga nailed it.
I can’t get over the edge that Demna Gvasalia has brought to Balenciaga, and the fact
that it never disappoints! I love how practical this collection is for autumn and winter
with all the exaggerated layering and the ski-wear inspo. Wearing so many items at
once has never looked so good. It’s seriously made me wanna step up my layering game
and wear everything in my closet at once, but with these killer color combos and of
course, everything oversize! x Sylvie
I’m back in black, for a change! This time in a new top from the H&M Studio
collection, that recently came out. I styled it with some wide trousers, black socks
and black mules. I kept it very simple and let the shapes and textures do all the talking.
I love pairing something petite with something more voluminous, it always creates a
dramatic effect. In this look the only detail I wanted to stand out were the
cream colored earrings. A playful contrast to the otherwise edgy look.
Another fall favorite.
Sporty-chic at it’s finest via MSGM fall 2018. From colorful tracksuits to head to toe
leather looks, I can’t help but wanna copy-paste this entire collection into my
wardrobe! Here are my fav looks! x Sylvie
Nothing beats a pantsuit.
There’s nothing I love more than an androgynous look. I’m back with a suit from last
week. I’m sure you guys have lost count of how many of these I’ve worn at this point, but
it’s one of those things I always seem to go back to. A suit is always so effortlessly chic.
I paired it with the faux fur coat and a cream turtleneck. It really doesn’t need much to
look cool. And based on all the fall ’18 collections I think it’s safe to say suits aren’t
going anywhere any time soon!
Creating a contrast with pastel colors.
Elevate a neutral look by adding some brighter tones into the mix. The look wont
look too “extra” if you only stick to one highlight color like I did here. I was wearing
a brown pantsuit here, to which I added a blue turtleneck. An unexpected color combo
that really works and is definitely something worth trying out!
A look from last week.
I found the perfect coat ever on a trip I took a couple weeks back. I love
vintage shopping in other cities cause I always find these gems that I don’t think I’d be
able to find in Helsinki. This is a men’s coat, like all my other fav coats. The fit is always
so much better cause you guys know I love a good oversize situation! I wore it with this
polka dot top, a white sports headband that was totally inspired by Gucci and wide leg
trousers. There’s so much detail in this look with the prints and the shapes,
but every element compliments each other in a cool way.
