A client and a project
Tyreman Group works in tyre lifesaving technologies and provides machinery in open casts and pits around Russia. To investigate tyre misuse conditions, they need to have telematics platform. In order to see it, they asked for a specialized interface, created based on their orders.
The company arms the machinery with tyre pressure and temperature sensors by Pressure Pro. Wialon gets information from sensors through the screen in the driver’s cab. The monitors are used to control tyre condition in real time as well. And so, Wialon studies data and sends them to Tyres Admin interface for dispatchers. The solution consists of three tabs :
Here, the dispatcher sees tyre condition by units in real time. The information is shown in tables and graphically as axle arrangements. In both cases, the system marks issues in yellow and red. Besides, assets demanding dispatcher’s attention can be rearranged to the top of the table.
The system also informs the dispatcher on this tab, if there’s any connection loss. It also indicates if sensors send tyre pressure and temperature data.
Technical specialists look at the temperature of the tyres and pressure parameters for each wheel. Hence, they will perform a comparative analysis to prevent uncertain deviations.
When two tyres on a single axle show different pressure values, it continuously damages one of them. As time goes on, the driver can lose both tyres.
According to graphical axle arrangements, technical specialists can get data on coupled wheels, depending on other in percents.
The system shows two circle diagrams where user can see tyre condition over the whole fleet. The latter reveals the percentage of operative sensors.
The company applied the solution on one of the open casts supported by Tyreman Group. Over the past six months, they obtained the following results :

This is because, to transmit data, such tracker should restart from a sleep mode, receive coordinates, and send those to the server. The previous process uses large amount of energy and cannot be optimized. As such, the devices are often set-up as beacons which provide broken-line tracks rather than smooth ones. We can use them to detect the location of a stolen vehicle or cargo.
Monitoring Plus specialists / Wialon sub-dealers from Ukraine, adjusted Beacon Pocket trackers to the project. The devices are always connected to the vehicle via USB. They stay with a driver every time and are useful to charge other electronic devices, like smartphones. 24/7 Transport vehicle and machine monitoring using Wialon in Ukrainian PlasmaTec company
The largest Ukrainian manufacturer of welding materials, PlasmaTec, uses Wialon to control the company’s hardware and transport vehicles. Gurtam partners from IT Spec have already applied real-time tracking and full-cycle fuel management relating to their system.
PlasmaTec Trans directors had to improve transport system.
IT Spec identified two distinct problems :
Drivers steal fuel at the in-house filling station and during parking
At the first stage, the company tried online tracking feature and telematics data quality. Thus, PlasmaTec Trans connected 23 in-house units, that is, lift trucks, tractors, lorry cranes, shoveling machines, and service buses. Trained by IT Spec specialists, PlasmaTec Trans dispatchers were controlling the units.
After several months, the company chose to extend the project and connect transport trucks moving across Ukraine. IT Spec installed fuel level sensors to catch robberies during night parking. Both drivers and locals were stealing fuel there and selling it immediately. Hence, PlasmaTec Trans banned such parking and put dishonest drivers under continuous surveillance.
The third stage require the application of full-cycle fuel monitoring. IT Spec connected an in-house filling station to Wialon. Furthermore, they installed fuel meters and ID card readers sending information to Wialon.
IT Spec allocated ID cards to specific vehicles. When applied to the reader, the driver recognized himself and the vehicle as a complete unit in the monitoring system. Without it, no filling operations will happen.

A study was carried out to identify the safety impacts of speed limiters in commercial truck fleets. The primary safety analysis focused on the reduction in truck crashes. These crashes could have been avoided or mitigated if there was an active speed limiter on the truck. This study was the first to use real truck crash data collected directly from commercial truck fleets. It showed a great number of crashes. The investigation included information from 20 business truck fleets. It included approximately 138,000 truck-years and more than 15,000 truck crashes as they operated under real-world, revenue-producing deliveries.
The findings showed strong positive benefits for speed limiters. Results indicated that trucks without speed limiters had a significantly higher speed limiter-relevant accident rate (approximately 200%) compared to trucks with speed limiters.

If there is no RFID reader in the bus, the driver can read high frequency tags via enabled NFC feature. Likewise, he can manually registers the child boarding or de-boarding the school bus.
As soon as the child gets on the bus, you can track his movement online. You can see bus the bus movement in real time due to NimBus API as well as the route on the map. That way, you may “intercept” the child. Here, parents also receive notifications if a bus is approaching or arriving at the point.
Driver assistance app
When the driver gets behind the wheel, the application notifies him which route to drive. Also, he gets notification on the children to pick up and the addresses to follow. Here, he manually enrolls students if the school gives up RFID solutions. Besides, this happens if the school registers the end of the trip and sends SOS messages to the school dispatcher.

And that’s how it works :
A probationer wears an electronic bracelet. Usually, it is a personal tracker which offers RFID-based control indoors and GPS/LBS location detection outdoors.
Home beacon casually reads an RFID-tag to make sure that a probationer stays inside.
Lertek draws geofences in Wialon whenever they allow a probationer to leave home. Those are used to keep an individual inside the predefined region.
A probationer cannot get rid of the bracelet.
When a person wears the bracelet, temperature sensor reacts to body temperature.
You cannot cut the tie as it is made of optic fiber and sends notifications about any interference to the system.
Whenever a probationer tries to remove or damage the bracelet, the system will notify the controlling body. At the same time, the bracelet vibrates to warn its owner of the violation.
Oustandingly, their partner accomplished 24/7 control of 500 offenders. They were aware that the officers were constantly monitoring and tracking them. As a result, there were no serious violations and no runaways since they detect the implementation of the home detention programme.
