This past summer was one of smokiest on record and John and Kaela’s wedding took place right in the midst of it. While some may have been upset about their mountain wedding without any views of the mountains, these two embraced it for what it was. We pretended the smoke was fog and laughed our way through the day. It was my first time shooting at a wedding at Mount Norquay and I can’t wait to return.

Bonnie and Curtis’ wedding was the epotime of style and sophistication. The Lake House was the perfect setting, her dress was STUNNING and the flowers were the perfect combination of modern and lush. Everything about the day was thoughtful and it was abundantly clear that not only do these two adore each other, but they cared for tremendously by all their family and friends.

I shot Bob and Krsytal’s wedding a week after my own so I will never forget their anniversary. :) We recently traveled through the UK with them and the Isle of Skye in Scotland was one of our last stops. It is truly a magical place and although stunning, these photos don’t even come close to doing the landscape justice.

I love weddings, I love the River Cafe and I love brunch so when I met with Christine and Graeme I knew we needed to be friends. it got even better when they were open to shooting their portraits before the wedding, meaning just after sunrise. I don’t think I could love these two or their wedding anymore.

There is something special about a wedding where the couple already has children. For these two it meant having an intimate celebration with their closest family and friends and the beautiful Alforno Cafe. When we first met they mentioned wanting the focus to be on food, wine, music and conversation; I feel confident in saying they succeeded.  Congratulations Danielle and David!

When Arjang contacted me he was planning on proposing to Rachel in Waterton while on vacation in the Rocky Mountains from San Francisco. Since he'd never been to Waterton before we began scheming on the best location and how he would pull of the surprise. I pulled out my best acting skills (they aren't that good) and just so happened to be "shooting some landscape photos" when they asked me to take their photo on an evening walk. Success!

It really couldn't have been more perfect. Anyone who's been to Waterton knows it's windy more often than it's not so to have a calm night was really special.

Riley and Regan were married on a perfect spring day at St. Mary's Church in Banff followed by the Cornerstone Theatre in Canmore. It was a beautiful, thoughtful day and the perfect way to start this year's wedding season.

The most beautiful night spent in this spectacular place with these two. How incredible is that we live within a short drive of all this beauty?! Katie and Baron are getting married later this summer and I can't wait.

"Hey guys, want to drive down to Waterton National Park, wake up at 4am, hike up a mountain and shoot your engagement session during sunrise?" Very few people would say yes to that plan, but Riley and Regan did and it was so worth it. One of my favourite sessions to date.
