June is Pride month, and we’re goin’ all out to show our support for the LGBTQIA+ community!

Starting June 1st, catch us sippin’ our celebratory Pride Shake – a cake batter shake dreamed up in honor of Pride, topped with rainbow glitter sprinkles. Grab this June-exclusive at all U.S. Shacks (excluding stadiums, ballparks, transit centers and airports) from 6/1 – 6/30. (*Pro tip: order ahead on the Shack App + order.shakeshack.com to beat the line!)

Building off last year’s Pride swag, we’re releasing our limited-edition, gender-neutral 2019 Pride capsule collection, which includes a super soft tee, rainbow striped crop top, rainbow burger cap, BOMBAS Pride socks + ISLYNYC (the official jewelry sponsor of WorldPride) Burger Chain necklace.

In keeping with our commitment to give back to the community, we’re pledging $25,000 to The Trevor Project, a national organization that provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) youth under 25. All proceeds from our retail collection will be contributed to this donation.

Earlier this year, we were named “Best place to work for LGBTQ Equality” and earned 100% on the Human Rights Campaign’s 2019 Corporate Equality Index, a designation that highlights the core of our ethos here at Shake Shack. Pride is particularly exciting for us this year as it marks the launch of our internal diversity and inclusion initiative, All-In. We’re committed to providing equal opportunities for success, removing obstacles and fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion and empowerment to ensure that Shake Shack continues to be a great place to work.

This month, we’ll be featuring a few of our team members in the LGBTQIA+ community who help shape the fabric of our company culture and continue to inspire us every day. Follow their stories all month long on the @shakeshack Instagram.

In honor of the final season of Game of Thrones, we’ve launched a limited-edition menu #ForTheThrone! Introducing our icy Dragonglass Shake and our fiery Dracarys Burger.

The Dracarys Burger (Drakaro Parkliapos)
Double Monterey Jack cheeseburger topped with bacon and fiery Dracarys Sauce

The Dracarys Burger features a double Monterey Jack cheeseburger sourced from the finest head of cattle The Seven Kingdoms has to offer. The burger is first griddled by the fires of Drogon and Rhaegal, then topped with a fiery ShackSauce created from herbs and spices sourced from the conquered cities of Yunhai, Meeren and Astapor. The burger is then finished with slabs of bacon imported from Essos—a Dothraki delicacy. Caution: may be too hot for non-Targaryens.

In keeping with our commitment to premium ingredients + thoughtful sourcing, the Dragonglass Shake is a prime example of the Wall-to-Table movement. Custard is frozen with packed snow harvested beyond the Wall and hand churned by members of the Night’s Watch. Final prep occurs in Winterfell, where the shake is topped with shards of Dragonglass imported from the caves of Dragonstone. Please note supplies are limited as the Wall is currently undergoing major renovations.

The Dragonglass Shake will be available at Shacks nationwide (excluding stadiums, ballparks, transit centers and airports) throughout the final season while supplies last, and the Dracarys Burger will be available at select Shacks while supplies last!

We’re thrilled to team up with one of LA’s most influential chefs, Ludo Lefebvre, to bring NYC a one-day-only, two-part collaboration!

With multiple restaurants across LA, including Trois MecPetit TroisTrois Familia, Chef Ludo has earned countless accolades from publications such as Los Angeles Magazine, Food & Wine, Esquire, and GQ. In 2017, he was nominated for two James Beard Awards for “Best Chef: West” and for his work on the Emmy-winning show, Mind of a Chef.  Named one of the “50 Greatest Chefs in the World” by Relais & Chateaux, Chef Ludo has not only transformed the Los Angeles dining scene, but he has also established himself as a worldwide culinary authority.

On Tuesday, October 9th, the Madison Square Park Shack will be serving up the exclusive Ludo Shack and Salted Caramel Wakame Shake during two timeslots: 11AM and 5PM. A limited number of items will available at 11AM until we run out, and then we’ll start serving up the Ludo Shack + Salted Caramel Wakame Shake again at 5PM.

The Ludo Shack ($10.99) – a double cheeseburger topped with bordelaise and special sauce, is our interpretation of Ludo’s famous Big Mec burger and was created in collaboration with our Culinary Director, Mark Rosati.

The Salted Caramel Wakame Shake ($5.29) is our classic salted caramel shake with a twist: Wakame edible seaweed!

To give more Shack fans a chance to try the goods, orders will be limited to two Ludo Shacks per guest. Don’t miss your chance to get a taste of the West Coast!

The South Lake Union Shack will be situated in a striking freestanding building, featuring an outdoor patio, ample seating for guests and an installation by local artist, Jesse Brown.

In addition to the Shack classics, the South Lake Union Shack will be teaming up with local purveyors, Theo’s and A la Mode on a unique selection of concretes:

Coffee & Croissant: Vanilla custard, Sea Wolf croissant brittle, Theo’s dark chocolate chunks and coffee caramel sauce
Shack Attack: Chocolate custard, fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough, Theo’s dark chocolate chunks, topped with chocolate sprinkles
Pie Oh My: Vanilla custard with slice of A la Mode seasonal pie

The South Lake Union Shack menu will also feature the Seattle-exclusive, Montlake Double Cut burger, a Washington State all-natural beef double cheeseburger with Beecher’s ‘Just Jack’ cheese, caramelized onions and grainy mustard mayo on a Macrina Bakery bun. This exclusive burger will be available daily in limited quantities!

The Montlake Double Cut was developed in partnership with Crowd Cow, the marketplace for craft meat. Crowd Cow is a mission-driven startup that believes all food purchases deserve to be associated with high-quality practices, total transparency and close connections to the independent family farms producing the food. The Montlake Double Cut’s meat is sourced from two local farms: Gebbers Cattle Farm in Brewster, Washington and Hutterian Farm in Reardan, Washington. It is made from grass-fed, pasture-raised, craft-grain finished cows that are hormone free and given no unnecessary antibiotics.

Keeping with Shake Shack’s mission to Stand For Something Good, the South Lake Union Shack will donate all proceeds from soft opening, as well as 5% of sales from the Pie Oh My concrete throughout the life of the Shack to Youth Care, an organization that works to end youth homelessness and to ensure that young people are valued for who they are and empowered to achieve their potential.

You asked. We listened. Last year, we launched the OG Hot Chick’n, a spicy edition of our classic Chick’n Shack, as a limited-time menu item, and now it’s back and hotter than ever! This time around, you’ll even be able to customize the heat. We’ll be serving up two versions of the Hot Chick’n: ask for it “hot” or “even hotter.”

The Hot Chick’n is a crispy chicken breast dusted with a guajillo and cayenne pepper blend – all topped with slaw and pickles. It’s crafted from an all-natural chicken breast—no hormones or antibiotics ever—slow-cooked in a creamy buttermilk marinade, hand-dipped into Shack-made batter, dredged through seasoned flour and crisp-fried. The sandwich is dusted with a guajillo and cayenne pepper blend and topped with Louisiana hot sauce slaw, kosher dill pickles and served on the same non-GMO potato bun as the classic ShackBurger.

We’re cookin’ up something big, Shack fans! Not only are we opening our West Village flagship location, we’re thrilled to also introduce our first-ever, state-of-the-art Innovation Kitchen! Located on the lower level of our West Village flagship Shack, our Innovation Kitchen will be the hub of all menu development at Shake Shack.

For more than a decade, our culinary team, led by Mark Rosati, has worked out of a small space in Midtown Manhattan, and developing new menu recipes in a modest kitchen has been a challenge to say the least. This incredible new kitchen will allow our culinary team to get even more creative, dig deeper into our fine dining roots and explore new opportunities as we continue to grow globally!

The Innovation Kitchen will allow us to dream up new menu items like our Veggie Shack (currently testing in a few markets) and even more chef-driven collabs like our “Humm Burger” with chef Daniel Humm and “Eel Burger” with London’s chef Fergus Henderson.

We are excited to announce our first official Innovation Kitchen test item will be Chick’n Bites: crispy pieces of hand-breaded chicken breast, served with your choice of BBQ or Honey Mustard sauce. Chick’n bites will be launching exclusively at the West Village Shack where guests can order them in a 6-piece or 10-piece meal.

Along with Chick’n Bites, a variety of new recipes being tested in the Innovation Kitchen will make their way upstairs onto the West Village Shack menu! Our guests will be the first taste these exclusive items and provide feedback in real time. The West Village Shack’s menu will be unique to all others, featuring a rotating list of items from the Innovation Kitchen, so swing by to find out what we’re testing! Who knows?
