A few years ago, I signed an NDA for a job to protect trade secrets, client information, etc. This seemed reasonable at the time because the industry involved privacy and information and all that. However, the company I was with was using a management group that uh, used scientology, and was run by people who were scientologists and made the year end stats. They mentioned Hubbard's Dianetics but never said "yo this is scientology" and so, with the whole "pushing religion" thing, I wonder if the NDA wouldn't actually be enforceable? But it was definitely the same terminology, the same courses setup, the whole she-bang.
In my country Scientology is not recognized as a church, however recently a new PSA is appeared on TV, the commercial is about an organization called Dianova and is supposed to help people with addictions (drugs, alcohol...). I’m thinking about a possible affiliation with Scientology because first of all the commercial is weird and looks like a Scientology promo with no content and a lot of empty words, second then the name of the organization itself “dianova” sounds too much like “dianetics”. I made some research and except their website there’s absolutely nothing about it... like if this organization has came from nothing and also have done nothing. Weird. I read that there are many of this organizations around the world and I’m concerned about starting having those also here in italy. Also pretty disgusted about the fact that is on a PSA... Is this the reality in the States? I’m confused
