I'm trying to write a puzzle hunt for my brother. I'd like the meta-puzzle to be related to his recent victories in a scrabble tournament, probably centering on the bingos he and his opponents played throughout.
The first thought would be to make the answers of the puzzles the bingos he played, but he would surely recognize that. If anyone has any ideas on a mechanic that would involve the bingos, please let me know. The exactly placement and scores of the bingos he played are publicly available, so I was thinking of involving them in the extraction. There are exactly as many bingos that he played as there are letters in what I want the ultimate answer to be, so that is convenient.
I've considered making the answers to the puzzles related to the bingos in a way that you'd recognize them once you knew what you were looking for, and then the score aspect can be used for extraction. The one thing is that I want it so that even if he does know the exact mechanic, he can't just look up the list of bingos and plug and chug from there; he has to get the answers from the other puzzles at some point.
