Recently got permanently banned from paypal for no reason and have made a new account with a new phone number and card. I was reading through the user policy and it mentions that using accounts linked to banned accounts will result in being banned. Is this actually enforced?
I have a lot of good reputation on ebay which is a necessity since I sell designer goods and having to make a new ebay account as well would be a major setback.
Thanks and good luck to everyone else in the same position as me (it seems there's a lot of us)
What a bunch of incompetent, lazy administration, extortion bunch of frauds idiots.
After over 10 years of using paypal, they close my account stating I was a high business risk. Recently, I have been selling quite a bit of items on ebay. Having reached the £2500 limit, paypal asked me for proof of address and ID.
My Paypal register name is my first English name and last name. My ID show my full first Chinese and English name. Quite common for those born in Hong Kong under British Colony.
In fact, even with my banks, mobile phone company..etc are all registered in my English name.
Long story short, after weeks of uploading my documents Proof of address, driving license and passport, and converting word documents to explain my ID have have full Chinese and British first names, (they are not middle names), these idiots decided to close my account with over £500 pounds of ebay sales I have due to being a high risk!
The slam in the face is after holding my ebay sales funds for over 180s, they are going to request proof of ID and address AGAIN in order for me to get my money back! WTF!
Hi, my PayPal is in minus figured like -£300 or something because someone else used my account and a load of money got refunded. I have a couple of questions - 1) PayPal keep calling me, can I just ignore their calls and expect it to go away eventually? 2) If not, I can’t pay that back so what do I do? 3) Can they press charges or prosecute me in any way or should I just leave the account and be done with it?
Hi! so... I had this account, let's say personal account A, then, I decided to create personal account B because I wanted another paypal me link (that's another story)... The thing is, that i transfered like 50 usd , and then consecutively 1 usd (because i said, oh, there's one dollar left, let me just transfer it). I think paypal found this suspicious and limited my B account (limitations include that i cant get those 50 usd in paypal cash to my bank account)
I proportioned all the info they asked, passport, comments, except receipt because i didnt sell anything.
I am very worried i wont get my 50 dollar back never and i worked so hard for them
Hey guys so i dont normally do this but honestly this is serious... my boyfriend is being abused... he lives in texas and im in canada and i need to raise some money to get down there to get him out of that situation if anyone could possibly help please message me for my paypal link every dime counts!
So I have an online business that I make personalized items, and sometimes I get a few SUPER picky people who like to open disputes with me over some interesting things. The best one today.. a lady opened a dispute with me because I didn’t include any of the free keychains I had(I ran out) and because her canvas bags were wrinkled(because they were folded to be shipped in a box) ..the best part.. SHE WANTED A REFUND FOR THE FREE KEYCHAINS. And to be compensated for the wrinkles. I died of laughter. No joke. After this was clearly something that was a joking manner, they closed the case. THEN, she reopens it with a “not as described” because she failed to mention that 2 of the wine glasses broke in transit.. I had to “provide proof of what it was — in 3 days or the whole transaction would be refunded.. kinda frustrated because PayPal is holding $90 because I told her that if she can provide proof, I’ll give her a refund for those($12) and I’ll file for insurance for our post office.
Really wish PayPal would only hold funds for the amount the seller is disputing instead of the whole transaction.
This woman has blocked me from every form of communication because “we are having a hard time communicating” ...I’m dying LOL
I don't use PayPal very often but today I wanted to get $20 from slidejoy (a lock screen app that pays you) I sent the money to my PayPal and all of a sudden PayPal is telling me I have to enter my social to have access to my money.
How do I avoid this?
I can accept giving them the last 4 of my SSN but there is no way they are getting anymore than that
Unforuntately hes tryna pull one on me, should I remove my card that is linked with my account because I don't want the 60$ to go onto it since its pretty dried up. Will it charge my card linked to it or go into the negatives? My first paycheck isn't until the middle of June so I was anxious and curious as to what to do.
My Grandmother in law (GMIL) has a PayPal account and is ridiculously meticulous about security and is freaking out about what's happening.
She received an email from someone about an invoice for some amount of money. It had at the bottom where she could pay through PayPal. This did not come from PayPal but from the company that wanted the money. My husband looked it over and determined no money was taken out and the actual PayPal account had no invoice on it. She was satisfied she was not compromised and moved on.
Now a couple weeks later she gets an email from the same company saying the invoice was cancelled. This would normally be perfect, they are no longer trying to get her to pay something she doesn't owe, but now it's all showing up in PayPal.
Now I don't know how PayPal works, so I'm not sure if this is now taken care of and she can relax. The original company is saying she got the invoice because the actual customer wrote down their email wrong. I'm uneasy because if all they need is an email what is to stop someone from using any random email? Wouldn't they need more information before they can actually put anything through to PayPal? If she had left the invoice unpaid and they didn't cancel it would there be any action taken against her?
I'm trying to purchase something using my PayPal balance, but it's saying that I need to sign up for PayPal cash. To sign up for paypal cash I need to put in my SSN, and I've heard stories of people getting their accounts locked for long periods of time after that. Is there any way to get around this?
