In August of last year, someone posted a memo on our company bulletin board that basically said the biometric screening incentive program was being scrapped for an alternative program... details to be announced. Apparently, this decision either did not apply to our location, only applied to management, or was scrapped altogether.
Eventually another memo was posted that announced an extension of the deadline to get the screenings. So, my wife and I got our screenings. By this time it was October, almost a month after the usual deadline, but before the supposed extension. It's now been six months since the new year, and no reimbursement checks have arrived in the mail. I called HR. Lo and behold there was no extension because there were no plans to change the program. No charge for the biometric screening, but no healthcare incentive account this year either. A deadline is a deadline. Absent proof, they can't or won't do anything else.
My advice is to take pictures of any major policy changes posted on your bulletin boards. (Company board or union board).
Call benefits, payroll, or your union local to verify a memo. Ask your HR rep or union steward.
Well, I got my final bonus check today, and I never realized that times were so tough at Kroger! I’m guessing the CEO will be forgoing his bonus, too (for the good of the company)! Does anyone know if there’s a gofundme set up for Rodney McMullin? I mean, those executives depend on bonuses as part of their pay, and I’m worried he won’t be able to feed his family or afford his medication.
Ones that don’t acknowledge you whatsoever yet still bitch in the customer comments when you did the same to them.
2.when they tell the cashier how to bag when you’re the one actually bagging like they’re too good to talk to you.
3.when you’re not finished bagging and they act all annoyed and huffy about it.
Customers who apparently can’t read and get the wrong item for a coupon and you have to go fetch it for them or they go off on the cashier because they’re too illiterate to comprehend how coupons works.
5.people that ask for paper. Sorry I know it’s better than plastic but those bags can’t hold very much at all. Plus if the customers have tons of items it makes you have a lot of bags and it’s hard to find room or they’ll bitch about the amount of bags or how heavy they are. You just can’t please the entitled jerks in this situation.
Karens who bring small carts yet fill them to the brim. They can get fucked for all I care.
Throwing their full cans of liquids in the trash even if the liner has fallen out.
2.bugging you when you’re clearly involved in something else to do something trivial like a price check etc.
3.the ones who think they’re a floor runner. Usually some young teenager. Damn these people are hard not to go off on.
4.When they’re too good to help you bag and glare at the end when you’re still not done.
Ones who go out of their way to be snarky and rude even when you’re respectful as hell and just as polite, they find some way to be a bitch to you.
When they’re incompetent as hell at their own jobs yet make big deals out of small mistakes like you accidentally losing track of time and missing a bathroom check etc, when they literally take 5 hours just to put up a cart schedule.
When they take their stress out on you. Say it’s a busy day and you need to ask a question and they just blow up on you like bitch I’m not a punching bag get fucked.
When they constantly push you to change ur availability. Borderline harassment sometimes.
When they do shady stuff like schedule you six days in a row like an idiot then wonder why you change you availability.
Corporate extended the self checkouts with the plan of eliminating everyone at the front end, well HAHA!!!
A lot of our customers are elderly, and they HATE the self checkouts, to the point of backing up the line and forcing the supervisors to open up more than one lane.
Fuck your interests corporate, all you corporations (one of the worst is Walmart) have been getting away with shit for so long, and the almost TRILLION DOLLAR corporation, Amazon, didn’t even have to pay a cent in federal taxes.
The workers are what make your business run in the first place. I read that some old man who worked at a COSTCO, was yelled at for being unable to move a big couch or something (something that is supposed to require a team lift) BY HIMSELF. He was yelled at for being TOO SLOW, an OLD MAN, TOO SLOW, for being unable to do something fast, that IS SUPPOSED TO REQUIRE A TEAM LIFT.
And for years I thought the world and society was singling me out, turns out I could have an entire team of protestors to be a part of.
You corporate bastards are the reason people are crying for socialism in America, because you’ve gone as far as you can to get away with anything.
There’s an entire documentary about Walmart who used to make employees clock out and continue working so they wouldn’t have to be paid overtime. HOW DARE YOU CORPORATE BASTARDS THINKING YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO THIS FUCKING SHIT!
Even conservatives are starting to see the corruption and wicked ways of the 1%, but sadly, still too many vote against their own interests, hopefully this will change overtime.
The 1% will causes a massive war, you’re the ONE PERCENT, we’re the 99% percent, your millions and billions of dollars, Hell fucking trillions, will not save you in the end.
It’s now been 3 weeks since my first interview, when I was told I would be called back for a second interview. The first interview went really well. It couldn’t have been the background check, because I literally have nothing criminal or bad in my past. I’m 15. What should I do? I’ve already called the store multiple times before.
