Reddit- jewelry making by /u/madsciencemetalworks - 6h ago

I want to get my girlfriend a pair of opal earrings made of titanium (very sensitive skin) I have no Idea what I'm doing and I would just ask her but it's a surprise kinda so if anyone has any advice on what to get I would really appreciate it. i have a 100$ budget which correct me if I'm wrong is not enough to commission anything I assume, but anyone able to point me in the right direction?

So I want to get an engagement ring for my girlfriend. We agreed that we don't want to buy overly expensive rings for each other. She found a ring that she likes because of the Gem, but it only comes on a basic sterling silver band. I'm trying to find someone that can custom make a band for this gem. Does anyone know anyone who does this? Is it even realistic when I'm on a budget? (Trying to keep the whole project under $500) It doesn't need to be made out of a specific material...I just want it to be cooler than a basic sterling silver band (more engagement ringy...) Thanks.

I actually like the slight dye-bleed into the white band; gives it a nice rustic feel.
