So my boss wanted me to create some sort of timeline for every row of cells, data is taken specifically from 6 columns of that row. He wants it to pop up while hovering the mouse over a single cell for that row.

Issue: I cannot get a Macro that was working the other day to work anymore.

Background: I was working on a Macro that would recognize text in a specific cell on one worksheet and would collapse rows on a separate sheet based on the text from the original sheet. (the text cell itself is a pull down menu.) I am no expert in VB. I was able to piece together this code by putting together random codes i found online. To my excitement, It was working the other day but now sadly, it will not collapse the rows anymore. :(

Code:

Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range) Dim celltxt As String celltxt = ActiveSheet.Range("B2").Text If InStr(1, celltxt, "LTA") Then Rows("8:12").EntireRow.Hidden = True Rows("25").EntireRow.Hidden = True Rows("27").EntireRow.Hidden = True Rows("41").EntireRow.Hidden = True Rows("56").EntireRow.Hidden = True Else Rows("8:12").EntireRow.Hidden = False Rows("25").EntireRow.Hidden = False Rows("27").EntireRow.Hidden = False Rows("41").EntireRow.Hidden = False Rows("56").EntireRow.Hidden = False End If If InStr(1, celltxt, "LTA (Development)") Then Rows("8:12").EntireRow.Hidden = True Rows("25").EntireRow.Hidden = True Rows("27").EntireRow.Hidden = True Rows("41").EntireRow.Hidden = True Rows("56").EntireRow.Hidden = True Else Rows("8:12").EntireRow.Hidden = False Rows("25").EntireRow.Hidden = False Rows("27").EntireRow.Hidden = False Rows("41").EntireRow.Hidden = False Rows("56").EntireRow.Hidden = False End If End Sub

Other Information: --- The sheet with the pulldown menu on Cell B2 is called "Profile" --- The sheet that has the collapsing rows is called "Estimated Costs"

Your Help will be much appreciated.

There is a huge Facebook thread with roughly 4,000 comments. I am looking to collect all of this information in a spreadsheet. The comments are made up of their age and city. I, ideally, would like a sheet with name-age-city. Is this possible?

Hi, I have an assignment due tomorrow and I'm putting my graphs into my report. I am going insane. My professor wants us to use paste special to get our graphs into Word, so the graph isn't "live" or whatever. No matter what I do, no matter the font size on the excel graph itself, the font on the pasted graph is tiny. This is an issue because he is requiring the two graphs be side by side. It makes them unreadable! Can anyone help me?

I am using Word 15.38 and Excel 15.37. (2017?) I am not great with Excel, but I think it is a general Microsoft issue because if I paste into Powerpoint the font is fine, and then paste into Word, it makes the font small.

The Borda count method is when voters rank candidates in order of preference. Each place on the ballot is assigned a point value, (i.e. 1 points for last place, 2 points for second place, etc.), and the number of votes has to applied by the appropriate point value for each place and thus the points are given to the candidate. Once all the points are figured out, they must be added together, and the candidate with the most points wins. I have a large preference schedule and I'd prefer not to do all this math by hand so I figured I could do it in excel. The problem is that I don't know how to use excel.

Help?

Hi all,

Here is a screenshot of the data:

https://i.imgur.com/hof1A19.png

Essentially, the goal is to list all of the values of A:A in which C:C is not blank.

Thanks!

P.S. I tried something like:

=INDEX(A:A,MATCH(1,(""<>C:C),0))

And that's definitely not it.

I have a big tab with lots of grouped outlines. Suddenly, the outline symbols stopped appearing. The “Show outline symbols” box is checked in Advanced options. Pressing CTRL+8 doesn’t do anything. Outline symbols show up on all other tabs. Any ideas?

Hello,

I am trying to plot data from 3 different categories.

I have different groups of people (Group 1-4) that are being tested for the amount of drink consumption for 4 different drinks.

Each group has Water, Beer, Soda, and Wine.

Here is an example of the graph I am trying to make. I have no idea how to do this in Excel. Each time I try to enter data and highlight to make a table, the axes are wrong or it only includes 2 variables.

Help on how to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, I have a very large data set and to plot each data set individually would take hours and I know there is a way to do this using VBA however I am at a lost.

There are many columns, column A has the list of names of things. I need to by name in column A grab column G as the Y data and column H as the X data points. Then I need this to be graphed and the next A name found and the data points for those graphed.

If this is unclear I will show what I mean below.

Col. A .... Col G Col H

Bob .... 2 2

Bob .... 2 3

Bob .... 4 5

Dan .... 1 3

Dan .... 5 4

Jacob .... 4 6

Jacob .... 5 8

So the array is not the same length and then I need three curves derived from each name in column A.

I currently have something like this but I'm not sure where to go from here.

Sheets("Data").Select Range("A2").Select For i = 1 To 459 WellName = ActiveCell.Text Do Until ActiveCell.Offset(1, 0).Text <> WellName If ActiveCell.Offset(1,0).Text == WellName Then WellCount = WellCount + 1 Else Loop i = i + 1 End

Thank you in advance!
