Going on my first Buffalo River trip this weekend and couldn't be more excited! Spending 2.5 days, 2 nights on the river. Going to fish, spend time at camp, and go slow - so looking for 20-30 miles. Me and a friend will have our own boats in 1 vehicle. The water level looks a little low right now on the upper river, but we would prefer to avoid lower (less scenic) portions. I see that Buffalo River Canoes and a few other outfitters will move our car for us (we discussed Pruitt-Wollum), but I'm more comfortable/familiar with outfitters where you park and they drive you upstream in their vehicle and you take out where you parked. Are there any options/outfitters that will do this on the Buffalo? Anything else I should be aware of that differs from MO Ozark floats? Thanks!
Hi everyone, hope you're all having a great summer so far.
I wanted to ask if anyone has any tips for cool spots to try some canoe camping in Ontario? I can travel anywhere from Windsor to Ottawa, and up to Killarney. Does anyone have any recommendations for a novice to try their hand at canoe camping?
I've done plenty of camping at Bruce Peninsula, Charleston Lake, Killbear, Pinery, Algonquin, and some others, but I've never tried canoe camping. I'd be looking to rent most of that gear (I do have some paddles for some reason).
