Let's say a Christian Web Developer has a Christian Website. A website that is helping bring people to God. Is it ok to program it on the Sabbath? Keeping in mind he has barely any time to work on it any other day of the week.
I’ve read Corinthians 2 and I believe it, but that’s is not the point
Why Why WHY???
Is there no adventist men where I live. There a church but it’s filled with old married men and old women. I do like going there when I get the chance though (nurse aide) the nearest guy is 3 hours from me and no one wants to drive that far.
I’m just trying to make peace with the fact I’m never going to find anyone
God is love. He wants what's best for all of us. There is an adversary who wants to destroy us and tear us apart from God and from our relationship with Him. The bad things that happen to us are not from God. They are of the devil trying to bring us down with him. He has no turning back and wants the same for us, but God has better gifts and promises for us. God's will for us is not to hurt or be saddened or in pain.
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9
"Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish." Matt 18:14
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world." 1 Peter 5: 8-9
I don't always study my lesson, but I read the Further Thought section for this past week's lesson. Once when I started a new job, I was worried about being able to make friends with my new coworkers, and I came across a poem that mirrors what's written in the lesson. I missed Sabbath School today, but I wanted to still share it with somebody:
"Are you lonely, oh my brother? Extend your hand to another! Share your little with one unfriended And thus your loneliness is ended!"
And now whenever I'm feeling lonely, especially at church, I introduce myself and talk with someone I usually don't talk or sit with during potluck. And it's a good feeling!
