I know it's not ideal, but there are no coaches available in my area.

Hey everyone, I’m a 28 year old male, 5 feet 9 inches, 170 pounds. I know it’s too late to get into any leagues, but I’ve literally played 0 baseball/softball on my life and wanted to get into it.

Anyway, I was just wondering if you guys could help with what kind of equipment I should be buying for myself and how to get into “baseball/softball” activities. Things I could think of are;

Bat size and weight (if weight is a thing)

Type of glove

Cleats/shoes

Batting gloves

Batting helmet

Thanks in advance!

So basically our team is in the field. The opponent hits the ball runs to 1st, then to 2nd. However our girl fielded the ball and touched 2nd before the runner got there. I've been told because of the situation this doesn't mean the girl was out. But at the very least doesn't this force her back to 1st?? The girl was allowed to stay on 2nd. This bothers me so much bc our team seems to have been given a disadvantage all season. Beginning with the fact that our team has 1 coach. The other teams have 3 to 5 coac h's.

I used to play tee ball as a kid and now 20 years later I’m going back on the field to play slow pitch soft ball. One memory that came crashing back to me during my first game was everyone on the team clapping when the manager called out our field positions and then when batting lineup was called out. Can anyone explain this quirk of softball/baseball/tee ball? Where did it originate? I’ve played in Australia and now the U.K. and it’s such a unique thing to do in a sport.

If you swing early on a centered pitch (and you’re right handed) it will go left, and vise versa for swinging late, right?? Well she thinks it’s the other way around, it’s my brother and I against my mom on this. I need answers!!!!
