I'm a first time home buyer in Seattle and am shopping around lenders, wondering if you have any suggestions or referrals? Hoping to find someone who knows a special deal (like a 3,2,1) that is exclusive to our city/state and can help qualify for more $.
I'm in a unique situation when it comes to my taxes because I work freelance gigs a lot, so also looking for someone who knows how to tread these waters and help me qualify for the most.
I have a Air BnB reservation about 30 minutes from Cooperstown this friday through monday. I cannot make it and the owner will not cancel my reservation unless someone else books. Its $500 total, and you'll be able to book through HomeAway. Is anyone interested?
Hello, posting on here just to see if someone has had a similar experience before. My friend and I are tourists, both girls, and we went to Pike Place Market 3 times in the 4 days we stayed in Seattle. On the second day, we decided to rest a bit at the area overlooking the waterfront near the market. A woman, tomboyish in style with long brown hair, approached us and asked us for a cigarette. We said no, and she said "good", before walking away with a man that was with her. We saw her asking another woman for a cigarette, then after getting the cigarette, the woman hugged the the other woman repeatedly and also kissed her cheek a couple of times. Right off the bat, my friend and I found it odd and just thought that this woman could be from Europe or somewhere where greetings on the cheek are more normal. The other woman that gave her the cigarette also looked very uncomfortable with this exchange.
The man and woman sit closer to us on the grass, and my friend mentioned that the woman kept looking in our direction. I was really tired at this point so I could care less and decided to take a nap. Just right as I was about to drift into dreamland, the woman pops out of nowhere right next to us, surprising both my friend and me. She says, "Why are you sleeping?" Confused, I immediately sat up to try to see what she wanted. I guess my friend and I could have told her to go away right then, but I guess we both had the mentality of giving her a chance, maybe she was just a friendly local trying to strike up a conversation with some tourists. But immediately, things started to get weird.
She was super touchy. Especially to me, as I was sitting right next to her. She introduced herself and made herself comfortable next to us. She kept touching my hand, my knees, and arm. I was, at this point, starting to feel very uncomfortable. She was also flirting, kept giving compliments and asking about us having boyfriends.
She started asking questions that were normal at first, but then asked us not long after if she can come with us to our airbnb or hotel. We said no. At this point, we were trying to find words to tell her that we needed to go.
She was very sweaty and was also shaking a lot. Her hands trembled visibly, so I thought she might be high on something.
We made up some excuse about needing to go after a few minutes of her just talking. My friend and I kind of laughed off the incident. For the next day, we even would try to scare each other off and say stuff like, "Imagine if we see her again."
A day go by, and my friend and I get dropped off at some intersection near Pike Place Market on our last day. When we got off the Uber, the woman was waiting to cross at the same interaction we were dropped off at. My friend and I began to whisper to each other, just wanting to cross already with the hopes that the woman did not see us. We go into a store, and were initially relieved because we did not see her, but when we left the store, she was there again with another man. She started talking to us, asking if we needed a ride to the train station. I guess at this point, my friend and I just decided to go with the ignore and walk fast option. We booked an Uber Pool and were trying to meet the driver a couple blocks away. However, the woman and the man started following us, spouting flirty comments and repeatedly asking us if we wanted to be accompanied to the train. Thank god it was daylight, because I can imagine this being much scarier than it already was. After ignoring her for some time, she finally left. However, she came back a few minutes after insisting that she can accompany us to the train. She left again when my friend said, "Can you please just leave us alone?" Fortunately, our Uber came shortly after.
We loved Seattle, but this experience was pretty scary for my friend and me. Anyone have similar experiences or have been approached by this woman before?
tldr; met a woman at pike place market, made us uncomfortable; saw her again 2 days after where she proceeded to follow us
