I recently had one in my room. I had to hunt it for a good 2 hours (I was not sleeping with one of those in my room). When I finally killed it (a hard task as it took many hits) I got really scared that another one might show up so I have my windows and doors closed at all times.
Does anyone know if they can lay their eggs inside people, or only in animals? Also does anyone know how long they would live in a house if they found no possible source of blood?
They are so hard to catch and so fast, I really dislike them.
I've been working on trying to seal up my basement and spray insecticide around to get rid of annoying bugs. Recently I've had some all-black house flies that seem to appear from nowhere. I found a couple that died in the middle of my basement floor, and then their corpses disappear suddenly the next day.
What would possibly eat and/or drag-away dead flies from the middle of my basement? I don't have mice or anything... and I'm certain the flies were dead. A bug enthusiast friend of mine shot down my theory of spiders saying they wouldn't eat or relocate dead prey. What else is there?
What steps would one have to take to have the proper licenses to breed, sell, and import insects/arachnids and possibly reptiles if they don’t need separate licenses. Obviously it’s not going to happen over night, but a brief search brings up regulations and nothing about schooling, or the proper steps and precautions required to become a licensed breeder/trader. So I thought I would ask those of you who have more knowledge in the field, thanks for your help! Have a great day!
