Valid

So I just finished a documentary project. It's an international piece and I think it's good. I made a small PDF pitch and sent it to some people. How do I get it in front of the big editors? How could I get it published?

Stray dogs have become a growing problem in the capital and other cities in Macedonia. Only over the past few months several attacks have been reported including one incident when a teenage girl died. She drowned in river Vardar, trying to run from a pack of dogs in the city of Gostivar. Because of the incompetence of the local authorities the problem is becoming worse in the cities of Macedonia.

So a post on Getty's instgram account of the daughter of John McCain crying over his coffin while it lay in state has attracted some people to to say, it should be removed.

Now from my vague understanding, the press were invited to this event. So the family would have agreed to this and any photos taken would have gone through the normal editors and then be published.

So why complain?

As a photographer, you are trained to capture the mood of the event you're at. The photographer did that. There's no manipulation of the truth, no agenda being pushed. It's simple, a daughter graving over the loss of her farther.

It's just a shame to me that some people would be happy if we didn't see these, rather historic moments (let's face it, the man is well known by the US public and a few of us over the pond) because people they don't know may or may not have their feeling hurt.

Anyway, what do you think over this?
