Valid

I’m pretty sure Allegra gives me insomnia so that’s out. I’ve take Zyrtec but I’m not sure if that messes with my REM sleep or not. I haven’t taken Claritin yet but I’ll probably try it tomorrow.

Reddit | Allergy by /u/sms_1997 - 5d ago

Most of my life has been a nightmare and only recently I found out what the real problem was: house dust mite. I was planning to buy a house but since I have worked in construction for about 5 years now, I have a lot of experience and friends in the industry so now I’m instead planning to build a house in which house dust mite won’t be able to survive so that I will be able breathe through my nose in peace. Where should I start and what should I do?

Any time I eat even a little BBQ sauce, baked beans, or steak sauce, without fail, I get nauseated and throw up a few hours later. My husband and I think it MAY be tamarind (found in worstercier sauce), but I wanted to get a second opinion.

Also, since I can eat oatmeal and desserts with brown sugar, it's not molasses. And if anyone else is allergic to BBQ sauce and it's related foods too, please let me know! I feel so alone...

So, I (32F) have fallen in love with a serious cat person (36M), and I am allergic. We are long distance, but when we live together/get married (which we discuss regularly) I would love nothing more than to surprise him with having secretly gotten allergy treatment over time so that we can get a cat (he has none of his own yet, it loves his parents' 2 cats dearly).

My allergies are fine so long as I take Benydryl everyday when I visit his folks, but I don't want to have to do that every day in my own home.

Does anyone have experience/success with immunotherapy or any other long-term solution? All tips welcome (breeds, treatments...)

I'm still dealing with symptoms of it I think. My face is still hot, temp is normal, and my eyes are burning. I feel like I get weak about halfway through the day. Is it normal to be dealing with things like this still? My doc took me off of work until today when I went to see him on Monday. He put me on Pepsid(?) and Prednisone. I go back tomorrow to work. I'm meeting with an allergist next week to try and figure out whats happening. This is the third time this has happened. Once last year, then the thursday before Easter and then Sat (DURING ENDGAME!)

I've never had acne in my life expect the occasional pimple with my time of the month. The other night, I slept over at an Airbnb that housed a cat, which I'm allergic to. I didn't notice symptoms until the morning, and woke up with small bumps all over my face only, and the eye that was closer to the pillow was swollen and red. It's been about four days since and the bumps haven't gotten much better, but my eye has. I took one non-drowsy antihistamine pill the day after, but nothing since. I think these are hives - any suggestions on getting rid of them??

Reddit | Allergy by /u/pearltherebel - 1M ago

I tend to break out in small itchy patches. When I went to VS, I noticed my arms, stomach, chest, and back were entirely red. I’m not sure if it was me putting the bra on and off, but the bra lady was even confused. I’m thinking it was all the perfume in there. My arm is actually itchy right now. I get it a lot on my arms, hands, and chest. I don’t know what it could be. Kinda looks like a bite but I think it’s just hives. rash I sneeze a lot. I especially started coughing and sneezing at my friend’s house. She has a dog.
