Anyone know of a place with a large area that would be good to setup a wedding for like 200 people?

We just got back from an island/“boat in camping” in Patagonia. Are there any other lakes in southern Arizona with camping islands. Google isn’t the best for this kind of specific search (or my googling isn’t the best) Any suggestions or leads would be greatly appreciated!

Also, Patagonia has two camping island that are wonderful! Boat rental is super expensive so we purchased an inflatable and it was perfect!

Some friends and I are looking to do a short camping trip this weekend, heading up Friday evening. I've heard some good things about Lockett Meadow, but the website says its first come first served. If we arrived Friday night, are we going to be SOL? Are there good backups we could go with in that case? Thanks for the help!

The azstateparks.com is not loading for me for some reason. How do you guys book campsites there? Or any park in AZ? I'm visiting in October and trying to find some nice spots.

Also, are they first come first serve kind of campsites at Lost Dutchman or should I book it?

My three best friends and I land in PHX August 17 and we’re planning on renting a car and traveling north and camping / air bnbing anywhere along the way. Any last minute camping spot recommendations? We don’t have any permits so I’m guessing we can’t do Havasupai :(

Hi Y'all, we normally camp up north but with family in Tucson now we'll be exploring the high alt locations in our sister city in the south. Any suggestions to avoid congestion and locate some great mid-high level hiking would be appreciated. Danke

Hey Folks,

I cant find readily available information on places in AZ that are not currently under heavy fire restrictions or closures. From what I googled, Glen Canyon NP and the Grand Canyon are the only stage 1 fire restricted areas left in the state. Does anyone one know of other areas where it's still kosher to have a campfire?

Thanks!

I've been once before, through school (NAU) to work with the tribe :)

Heard that every once in awhile people have gotten lucky with squeezing into a large group that had a few people bail last minute!
