June 25, 2019 – Stuart Reid, Senior Vice President – Executive Recruitment, Banking and Financial Services from PRTR attended the discussion on “Diversity in the Workplace” organised by Thai-German Chamber at SO, Sofitel Bangkok and shared the experience in the field of diversity in the workplace through the perspective of a recruitment consultant with experience in recruiting senior executives for leading organisations.
Stuart emphasized the importance of “Ability” that it is and should always be the main factor in hiring, regardless of gender, age or ethnicity. The benefits of diversity and inclusion whilst coupled with an ability-focused hiring strategy will drive the productivity of companies through a diversity of ideas and insights. Stuart’s thoughts on the current situation for the up-and-coming generation of Thai leaders was that their ability to drive diversity and inclusion from an ability-oriented perspective is strong based on their increased exposure to different groups through educational, working and social interactions.
Continual progress, driven by ability with the benefits of diversity being recognised and realised, will increase Thailand’s competitiveness on the regional and world stage, whilst also closing gaps in opportunity.
