About the opportunity As a one of our photographers, you will be at the heart of the action, capturing our fundraisers wearing our tops with pride and charging their way through the marathon route and then capturing their achievement and celebrations after the run. We will make you feel like one of the team from the day you sign up! In the run up to the event we will provide you with all the information you need as well as the logistics of the day. You will receive your very own PCRC t-shirt, pin badge and wrist band so all you need to do is bring your voice, energy and enthusiasm. Come and be part of something amazing today!! 7th - 8th September 2019 Join PCRC in walking the Thames Path, with beautiful scenery, steeped in history - a superb backdrop for a festival of challenges. More than 3,000 challengers will take on the main Thames Path Challenge, following England's greatest river. Most will walk at their own pace, many will jog parts, and some will run the whole course. The full 100km route heads upstream from Putney Bridge past Hampton Court to Runnymede of Magna Carta fame at 50km, then on past wonderful scenery all the way to Henley. You'll be fully supported, with marquee rest stops and great hospitality. Hello PCRC! My name is Jessica (or Jess, Jessie or anything else you fancy) and I’m the Events Assistant for PCRC. I’ve been working here for just over 10 months now in the most odd and exciting role I could have imagined. Before coming to PCRC, I was the Events and Community Fundraising Intern at The Lullaby Trust, and before that I dipped my toe into a few different fields, including publishing, political campaigning, and education. At The Lullaby Trust, I realized that fundraising isn’t just a means to an end – it’s valuable in and of itself, whether you’re supporting community fundraisers who are working so hard to raise money for a cause they care about, or putting on an exciting event that gives something back to the people who donate. PCRC is aiming to grow the amount of money we invest in prostate cancer research by 300% over the next 5 years.
