Asus is quickly ramping up the buzz-building efforts for the company's sophomore gaming smartphone effort, which was only recently confirmed for a firm July release (at least in China) in partnership with Tencent Games, which will provide special "optimizations" for hugely popular titles like PUBG Mobile and Fortnite.

Following that somewhat vague revelation, the Republic of Gamers (ROG) division inside Asus took to Weibo once again on Tuesday to disclose a more specific (and arguably more exciting) feature of its upcoming super-high-end handset. This bad boy will apparently ...

Advertorial by LG (disclaimer)

As smartphones host more and more personal information such as family photos and even credit card details, security has become a greater issue in the minds of consumers. Accordingly, passwords have evolved from PINs to fingerprint to facial recognition in the name of greater security.

LG thought about adding an extra convenience layer to biometric security when developing the G8 ThinQ by providing multiple recognition tools that negate the disadvantages of each separate one. Its so-called ...

Asus is not what we'd call a very well-established and popular smartphone vendor in the US, but the Taiwan-based company occasionally brings respectable Android handsets with sleek designs, great features, and extremely reasonable price points stateside.

While waiting for the incredibly affordable ZenFone 6 flagship to come to North America, bargain hunters will be happy to know last year's mid-range Asus ZenFone 5Q is currently on a sweet "clearance" sale over at Best Buy. Also known as ZenFone 5 Lite, the Snapdragon 630-powered 6-incher earned one of the top scores in ...

After announcing a shift in focus around six months back and unveiling its incredibly affordable new flagship handset just a few weeks ago, Asus is finally ready to reveal the first official details on the company's upcoming sophomore gaming smartphone effort. Exactly as rumored, the ROG Phone 2 will be released in the third quarter of 2019 to follow in the footsteps of an original model that made its global debut in June 2018.

More specifically, we can expect the Asus ROG Phone 2 to see daylight in July, at least in China. That's according to a Weibo post published earlier today ...

It's only been a few days since Asus released the first major update for its latest flagship, the ZenFone 6, and now another update is making its way to the phone. Just like the previous update, the new one focuses on camera improvements, but other aspects of the device should receive enhancements as well.

The most important change is the addition of the new Night mode on selfie, which will allow ZenFone 6 users to take selfies in low-light environments. Apart from the phone's camera, Asus has found that other parts of the phone can be improved as well.
One of the changes included ...

1000-dollar phones are exciting, there's no denying that, but it seems like fewer and fewer people are actually buying them. At the same time, the number of decent phones costing half as much is growing steadily, and the Asus ZenFone 6 is the latest addition to the list.

With the ZenFone 6, Asus aims to deliver a fast, reasonably priced smartphone with a beautiful screen, long battery life, and a good camera. And on paper, we seem to be looking at a recipe for success: the chip of choice is the powerful Snapdragon 855, the main camera has a whopping 48MP of resolution, and the 6.4-inch display ...

The ZenFone 6 hasn't even been released in the United States and Asus is already pushing out a major update that brings important camera enhancements. If you plan on getting one when Asus will launch the ZenFone 6 in the US in July, here is what to expect from the first ZenFone 6 update.

If you didn't know, Asus ZenFone 6 packs a so-called motorized flip camera, which allows users to take both selfies or regular photos. It basically acts as both rear and front cameras to ensure that you take the best pictures in every scenario.
Well, it looks like the ZenFone 6's camera needs some ...

The ZenFone 6 is the very latest high-end smartphone announced by Asus and it's officially coming to the US. Unfortunately, while customers in Europe and other markets can already buy the ZenFone 6, the handset is not yet ready for a North American release. To enter the ZenFone 6 sweepstakes, you have to visit the official Asus USA website here. To be eligible, you need to be a ...

A couple of weeks ago, my SIM card found itself inside a phone quite unlike the rest. I switched to the Asus ZenFone 6, a Snapdragon 855-powered phone that stands out with its no-notch display, flippy camera module, and $499 starting price. But its best feature could be its big battery – a 5000mAh cell that keeps going and going.

Now, if you want to learn more about the ZenFone 6 as a whole, I encourage you to read my ZenFone 6 Preview article where I share my initial thoughts and first-hand impressions. Here, I will focus on one particular aspect of the device – its battery life – and how ...
