Manchester University Wedding Photographer Relaxed, natural & elegant documentary style Hi, and welcome! I live only 30 minutes from Manchester and so it was a pleasure to enjoy one of Manchesters institutions for a local wedding. Beautiful moments Your wedding day at Manchester University will be incredible from start to finish, as you prepare, take your marriage vows and through to your first dance. My day will be ensuring you have the most beautifully captured moments to remember it by. Relaxed approach You’ve chosen a beautiful wedding venue and my natural documentary style will complement this while ensuring that you and your guests enjoy your wedding day without feeling like your day is taken over by photography. Ellie & Liam Having photographed the wedding of one of her bridesmaids, it was fantastic to see Ellie & Liam again for their wedding, this time in Manchester. They began their day at the family home where there was so much Christmas love in the air. Soon it was time to make their way to the church where Ellie wore her biggest smile as she was married to Liam. They were so obviously in love. Soon they were making their way back to the Manchester bus they had hired, covered in confetti. As they arrived at Manchester University, we took a few photographs around the grounds while the guests chatted and enjoyed the fantastic food which had been prepared for them. Ellie & Liam then made their way up to dinner in the lift .. I think this was one of Ellies favourite bits of the day! Dinner completed, they laughed and cried their way through speeches and on to the final celebrations of the day – cutting the cake and the first dance. Thank you so much for including me in your Manchester Christmas wedding! In their own words “Just wanted to say thank you so much for our beautiful wedding album. We will treasure it forever!“ Hi, and welcome! I live only 30 minutes from Manchester and so it was a pleasure to enjoy one of Manchesters institutions for a local wedding. 6 top Cheshire wedding venues with amazing indoor spaces My home is in Cheshire and in my decade working at the local venues, I’ve seen many of them. I’ve seen all sorts – from rustic to historic to quirky. Which have been some of my favourite interiours? Knowsley Hall Close to Liverpool, and the ever popular Knowsley Safari Park, lies Knowsley Hall .. with one the most amazing interiors in Cheshire. Every room at Knowsley has a distinctly regal feel, with an enormous amount of the original historic art and furnishings. It’s literally like being on the set of your favourite period drama, but with dancing, a bar and an enormous amount of fun. Take a look through a Knowsley Hall wedding. Peckforton Castle You can’t mention amazing interiors without including Peckforton Castle. On a national and even international scale, the gothic style of Peckforton Castle lends itself perfectly to a Cheshire wedding. The areas feel like an amazing church with candles and flowers and you can even have the aisle either way, depending on which view you prefer. Take a look through some amazing Peckforton Castle weddings. The Mere Close to Knutsford, the Mere makes it to this list by being one of the best blank canvases for your own design. Some people want an amazing interior, but one which isn’t in a particular style. That’s why the Mere is so popular with wedding planners; it is a fantastic luxury venue, but with an incredible flexible space which you can fashion to look however you want. Take a look through a Mere wedding. Wrenbury Hall For the most beautiful Marquee you could imagine, with stunning drapes, Wrenbury Hall stands out. Not only does it have beautiful grounds, Wrenbury Hall has a very uniquely dressed marquee, with a truly stunning almost French feel. However, it also manages to produce a relaxed feel for a wedding day, even given the luxurious surroundings. One of a kind! Take a look through two recent Cheshire weddings:  Wrenbury Hall 1 and Wrenbury Hall 2. Thornton Manor If you’re looking for a magnificant dining room, this might just be for you. With one of the most unique ceilings I’ve seen, Thornton Manor impresses as soon as you walk in the door to the dining room. Not only that, but the dark paneling from the rest of the venue looks incredible and the windows allow photographer to use amazing light when capturing your guests enjoying your day. Take a look through an Thornton Manor wedding. Crewe Hall Unique in every day, Crewe Hall offers many spaces which each have a unique feel. It’s hard to pick a favourite room at Crewe Hall. I’ve worked there many times and it never fails to impress guests who will love the incredible ceilings and ornate wood paneling. They also have a huge second building should you have a large amount of guests. Take a look through a Crewe Hall wedding. 5 top Cheshire wedding venues with beautiful outdoor spaces I’ve spent at least 50% of my wedding photography career in Cheshire. It stands to reason that I know a thing or two about the wedding venues here! Here are some of the venues that I know and love for their outdoor areas.. Adlington Hall East of Wilmslow lies this incredible old building which delights if you love a rose garden. Possibly not quite taking the title of the best garden in Cheshire, but definitely the best rose garden I’ve seen, Adlington Hall has a suprising amount of different locations to take photographs. From the regal front of the building with huge columns to the incredible staircases indoors, it will delight any Cheshire couple. Take a look through an Adlington Hall wedding. Arley Hall & Gardens Just outside Warrington is a venue which is specifically known for the incredible gardens they have. Take a look through a beautiful Arley Hall wedding. Sandhole Oak Barns Close to Congleton, you can find these beautiful converted barns on the side of an amazing lake. Converted barns have become a popular favourite for couples looking for a more rustic venue for their wedding. However, not all of them sit on the edge of a stunning lake, which can be used to take gorgeous photographs of yourselves and your guests alike. Take a look through an Sandhole Oak Barns wedding. Combermere Abbey South of Nantwich, this unique venue has beautiful gardens and a unique glasshouse to get married in. Cheshire is lucky to have this one-of-a-kind venue on it’s doorstep. There are extensive gardens which hold a huge marquee, but the cherry on top is being married with the sky above you in their glasshouse, surrounded by stunning gardens. Take a look through an Combermere Abbey wedding. Nunsmere Hall Close to Delamere Forest in Cheshire, Nunsmere offers the only jetty close by. If you love water, Nunsmere might just be for you. A true one of a kind venue next to a beautiful lake, it boasts a jetty for you to use for some beautiful couple photographs. You also benefit from having to walk through a small pine forest to reach it, which again gives you unique photograph opportunities. Take a look through an Nunsmere Hall wedding. Contact It would be lovely to hear about how you’re planning to celebrate your marriage, so please get in touch. Holmes Mill Wedding Photographer Relaxed & natural elegant documentary style Hi, and welcome! I’m well known throughout the North West and this was my first time at the chic and quirky Holmes Mill in Clitheroe. Beautiful moments Your wedding day at Holmes Mill will be incredible from start to finish, as you prepare, take your marriage vows and through to your first dance. My day will be ensuring you have the most beautifully captured moments to remember it by. Relaxed approach You’ve chosen a beautiful wedding venue and my natural documentary style will complement this while ensuring that you and your guests enjoy your wedding day without feeling like your day is taken over by photography. Michelle & Graham I was happy to join Michelle & Graham for their special day at Holmes Mill. My day with them started at the church for a beautiful and fun-filled wedding ceremony. The vicar was an absolute hoot! He had such a fantastic sense of humour, and that suited the couple and their guests. Soon after, we went to a tiny park next door for the important group and couple photographs. Spirits were high as we left for Holmes Mill and I got to experience the amazing Engine Room – a truly unique feature! I enjoyed capturing their guests milling around enjoying themselves, before it was time for more photographs of the couple, after which they finally joined their guests for the remainder of the day. In their own words “Phil photographed our wedding this week. He was exactly what we wanted. He captured our group shots quickly and quietly so that we could enjoy as much time with our guests as possible. I can’t wait to see the photos! Thanks Phil!“ Hi, and welcome! Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer Relaxed & natural elegant documentary style Hi, and welcome! I’m well known throughout the North West and this was my second time at the beautiful and relaxed Mitton Hall in the Ribble Valley. Beautiful moments Your wedding day at Mitton Hall will be incredible from start to finish, as you prepare, take your marriage vows and through to your first dance. My day will be ensuring you have the most beautifully captured moments to remember it by. Relaxed approach You’ve chosen a beautiful wedding venue and my natural documentary style will complement this while ensuring that you and your guests enjoy your wedding day without feeling like your day is taken over by photography. Jo & Andrew I was the wedding photographer for Jo’s friend and it was nice to meet their friends and family once again, this time at Mitton Hall. Jo began her day at the family home with her bridesmaids and family. Soon it was time to make their way to Mitton Hall for an incredibly happy ceremony. After confetti, their afternoon reception was full of smiles before the wedding breakfast. After a fun set of speeches, they completed the final official duties of cutting the cake and first dance before partying the night away. In their own words “On the wedding day itself, Phil was punctual and calm, and quietly got on with his work whilst we got ready. Myself and my husband are not the most comfortable in front of the camera, but we love the couple shots Phil has achieved, and the time taken to get these on the day felt quiet and intimate, and ‘time out’ from the rest of the event. So thank you Phil, we would not hesitate to recommend your services to friends and family, and we loved having you around on our special day.“ Hi, and welcome! Adlington Hall Wedding Photographer Relaxed & natural elegant documentary style Hi, and welcome! I’m well known around Cheshire, having been photographing wedding for over a decade now, but Adlington Hall had always escaped me .. until this year! And the proudly tended gardens really impressed. Thornton Manor Wedding Photography Shaun & Rebecca chose Thornton Manor in Cheshire for their wedding. They had a day full laughter, meaningful glances and riotous fun! Thornton Manor, situated on the Wirral, has history, tradition and boasts a grand, imposing country house amid delightful grounds. The girls began their preparation at Rebeccas family home. It was a whirl of makeup, wedding dresses, beautiful flowers .. and plenty of laughter. That infectious laughter was to repeat itself through the whole day! The guys arrived at church and ushered people inside. Soon, Shaun had met his bride and in just a few minutes they had sealed the wedding with an exchange or rings, a kiss as man and wife and the all important paperwork. Back at the incredibly decorated Manor, they chatted to guests before it was time for group photos and couple portraits. They both looked incredible in the surroundings .. and even took a moment to practice their first dance! It was soon time to make their way in for dinner and speeches. The hall at Thornton Manor looked elegantly stunned with the incredible candle and flower display. After dinner, their was an array of deserts to choose from (yes, I tried one – they were amazing!) and the final duties of the evening were cutting the cake and first dance. ..read more

Braxted Park Wedding Photography I love to travel and I love to photograph weddings. Put them both together and you have an incredibly beautiful Braxted Park wedding in rural Essex at the idyllic estate, home of the Clark family. The wedding day began bright and sunny. The bride and bridesmaids were already preparing as I arrived. The morning of a wedding is the perfect time for me to photograph the details; the venue, dress, shoes and flowers and I take a fine-art approach to the these, aiming to produce unique and beautiful images for the bride to remember her choices. The ceremony and readings followed, along with the exchange of ring, important first kiss and signing of the register … and they were officially married! They made their exit through the Queen Anne house towards the steps for a group photograph, and then on to confetti. The couple greeted their guests and offered canapes (oysters no less!) and champagne, all within the Pavilion, while I documented the fun. After a while, I took the couple for their wedding photographs in the walled Braxted Park estate. The beautiful house and lake made a fantastic backdrop for stunning portraits and Louise & Alex were happy to use the bluebells which I’d spotted the day before. The couple entered the marquee for the wedding breakfast to rapturous applause. Speeches were soon underway and Alex was suitably embarrassed by his best man and brother. They moved to the final formailities; cake cutting and first dance under the sparkly lights of the marquee before finally relaxing with guests. In their own words “There is no doubt that I will be recommending you to anyone with a forthcoming wedding, your work speaks for itself and people are still complementing our pictures, a comment received just this weekend ‘your wedding photos are honestly the BEST wedding pictures I have ever seen!’ ” ..read more
