Just the thought of Spring during this cold snap makes us want to do a happy dance! Join our community of music-making families as we kick winter to the curb and ring in the arrival of spring through song and dance led by your favorite teachers. We’ll have an instrument craft before the music begins and a snack to share.
FREE to the community with donations accepted for Making Music Foundations--our non-profit organization that works to make early childhood music education available to everyone. Kids under 8 will have the most fun at this family-friendly event
Please RSVP on Facebook so we can get an idea of how many families to expect.

Once we receive your order for a gift card, we will contact you to confirm the recipient's name and information. We can email your gift certificate with a special note from you.

Free Workshop Sat, 11/10, 1pm, Lakeview Studio
We're excited to announce that we're offering a new class for big kids this winter called Rhythm & Rhymes.
Preview the class for free at this 45-minute workshop!
Children engage their imagination, ear and voice at this hip hop music workshop where they improv stories and songs using beat box, break dance and their emerging MC skills. Children learn new ways to use their bodies to make music and express their creativity, which helps build confidence and develop speech. Not to mention that they pick up with some sweet dance moves and fresh beat box sounds.
Every class feels like a party with the infectious energy of teaching artist and human beatbox, Yuri Lane. Parental attendance at the workshop is encouraged, especially for our youngest musicians. Ages 3.5 to 7 years.

We're looking for a few parents that are passionate about our approach to early childhood music education to help us spread the word in your community as a Parent Ambassador. Sharing your enthusiasm for music classes can be fun, entertaining and rewarding! The best part is that your level of involvement can play to your strengths and take many different forms.
Ways to be involved as an Ambassador:
Tapping your social networks online and posting in local parent groups.Hosting free trial classes in your neighborhood and around the city.Working promo events by talking to parents and handing out fliers.Distributing fliers around the neighborhood at family friendly locations.Writing online content for the MMM blog and social media outlets.Following up with parents who have attended a trial class.
The perfect candidate to be one of our Ambassadors (we're looking for 3-4) is someone who is probably already telling their friends about music class and is not shy about approaching other parents at the park to share information about resources and classes around the neighborhood like ours.
Compensation for this position starts with class credits, but can grow into cash payments. If you're interested in learning more about being involved, send an email telling us why you think you'd be a good fit as an Ambassador. We'd like to have one parent that lives in the community near each of our locations, so we hope to hear from you soon!

It's not just the cover that's new! Each song in the Fiddle collection is brought to life through colorful and engaging illustrations by award-winning artist Jaime Kim. The folks at Music Together wanted your feedback and they got it. Not only that, they heard you. They have redesigned the songbook to better serve its purpose: to inspire and support music-making beyond the classroom experience! The new songbook is engaging and playful--more like a storybook than a songbook. We hope that the new book will inspire your family to play with music all week long! The main focus of each page is the song itself now--the lyrics and the illustrations--with only one line of music notation. This will give your children a bit of exposure to written music without making it the primary focus of each page. (Don't worry-- if you'd like the full notation-- it will be readily available to you on the Family Music Zone.) Now, using your songbook will be intuitive, another point of entry into the music for you and your child, with whimsical visuals to add to the auditory experience. Hopefully you'll find it helpful to learn the lyrics, as a jumping-off point for creative storytelling, and to learn more about the songs you're singing in class. Join us this fall for a better-than-ever musical ride. Our 10-week Fall Session begins September 10. Check out our schedule of classes today and register beginning July 31!
