Mary Christine Photography is a Cleveland Newborn Photographer in Medina Ohio. My love for photography developed shortly after having our first child~ I wanted nothing more than to freeze all those tiny details that were changing so quickly
Oh my goodness, one of my all time favorite pregnancy photoshoot is on the blog today! I literally could share all of Carmen and Spencer’s images with you. I loved every single one! From the sweet and gorgeous couple, to the lighting and location, the stars aligned for this one!
This pregnancy photoshoot was at a new location. It did not disappoint! From the field of flowers to the sunset over the lake, I feel like I hit the location jackpot!
We started the maternity session on this quiet path in the tall grass and trees. The light was so soft and lovely here! I love how this soft pink dress compliments not only Carmen’s lovely skin tone, but the setting as well. So airy and timeless!
Then we turned to catch the sun peeking out behind the trees. Light is an amazing thing! Only a few feet from where we took the first photos and yet such a different look from the first. How sweet are these two? They are going to be amazing parents!
Anyone else a fan of weeping willow trees?? This spot had me swooning for a pregnancy photoshoot!
Carmen was able to try out some new dresses from the client wardrobe for her session. Everything fit her perfectly! Dresses provided are from Sew Trendy and Silk Fairies.
Pregnancy photoshoots are the perfect time to play dress up and celebrate this special time in your life. Did you know that maternity dresses are provided for your maternity session? It’s true! No need to stress out about clothing, I have you covered!
Soon they will be a family of three and I cannot wait to meet their little one!
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog to check out Carmen’s pregnancy photoshoot! Are you expecting and considering a maternity session to document your bump? Please check out the maternity portfolio to see if we would be a good fit!
Oh my heavens! I can’t help but overshare Miss Nicolette’s newborn baby photos with the world today. This little angel came in for her newborn photos at just five days new and was an absolute dream boat!
Blush pink, creams, and simplicity were her momma’s request. Hello! Sign me up!
I thought this blog post might be a great example of what to expect out of a Welcome Baby newborn session with me, as I have included almost every photo from the newborn baby photos session here. So without further ado, here we go!
Most little ones arrive to their newborn session sleepy since it is requested that mom and/or dad keep them awake one to two hours before their session. This helps make sure they are ready for a deep sleep and not a catnap. I also recommend feeding their baby as much as they can right before they leave. It really makes a huge difference in their session!
So since baby is sleeping, I start with them first since their sleepy time is a window that we want to catch for posing. I do four poses on two different color fabrics with about 3 angles of each pose. These sets are simple and all about those fleeting details!
In most cases, I get these poses done in about thirty minutes. That’s a lot of newborn baby photos! Because I keep movements to a minimum, babies are typically pretty comfortable and happy here. Just how we like it!
After the beanbag, we move to props. Momma requested a bucket and maybe some florals (my favorite!!).
Her momma also brought this sweet little outfit that Nicolette’s auntie bought for her. How adorable is that back bow?
Y’all, can you believe it? It is summer and I have officially blogged a photo session. See? I’m winning! HA!
Miss Ella Grace was welcomed into the studio last week for her newborn photo session. She had me swooning from the moment she arrived until she left. Seriously, the nicest and most adorable family of three! How lucky am I to call this my job??
Are you tired of the silhoutte family photo yet? I know I am not! This is always a favorite of mine for a newborn session. Those little tiny toes, fingers, and profiles just make my heart happy.
Ella’s momma requested this moon, I love how six years after my husband made it for me, it is still getting used and requested. Of course a summer baby needs some flowers! I think the flowers add just the right pop of color to the set. It is so sweet, simple, and timeless. All of my favorite things.
Bean bag poses are a must for every newborn session. Simple and all about the baby, my favorite kind of image! Pink and cream certainly look amazing on Miss Ella, right??
I got this new prop from Rozzi Rayne Studio Props just in time for Ella to try it out. I am a huge fan of baby girls in blue. I think she rocked it!
Dad is a huge Cleveland Browns fan, so this family photo was a must. Y’all know I am not a big theme person, but seriously you guys, they pulled this look off perfectly. I think Ella might be ready to watch the Browns actually WIN this fall. How can you loose when you have this adorable of a fan? Not possible.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog! If you are interested in a newborn photo session, please have a look around. Be sure to check out the newborn portfolio. If you are interested in booking, I am currently scheduling 2-3 months out.
Welcome Miss Harper’s newborn photo session to the blog!
So in my attempt to keep up with the blog, summer has hit our house. That means the kiddos are off of school and a lot more time outside. I am not complaining! It just makes keeping up here on the blog a little trickier. Not to worry friends, there are plenty of sessions to share. Outdoor photo sessions are in full swing too! If you are interested in catching a family session for this summer or fall, stop by here.
Maybe on a rainy day I will catch up on all the latest sessions but in the meantime, here is Miss Harper’s newborn photo session!
Oh this sweet little lady looks identical to her big brother as a newborn! I LOVE watching their family grow over the years. It all started with a maternity session two years ago for big brother.
Little Miss Harper was super hungry during her session. We took plenty of snack breaks to keep her satisfied. My goodness, I cannot wait to see her rolls at her sitter session. Girlfriend knows how to eat!
All the neutrals with a pop of soft color in Harper’s newborn photo session make my heart swoon. Light, airy, sweet, and timeless. Give. Me. All. The. Babies!
The heart bowl might be my new favorite prop of all time. It works well for boys and girls alike, even under fabric. Harper loved being swaddled, as most newborns do, so it was an all around win for everyone!
How sweet is big brother Brady? Like most toddlers, he is an active little guy, but he did so good for his sister’s newborn photo session. He is quite smitten with her too. I love seeing how siblings respond to having a new baby in the house. Most of the time, they are over the moon!
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog! Are you expecting a new addition soon? I would love to do your photo session! Please check out the newborn portfolio and maternity portfolio to see if we might be a good match.
It has been a little quiet here on the newborn blog lately. May ended up being a super busy month full of new babies, my favorite! I have been so busy shooting newborn sessions that the blog has fallen quiet. My apologies! The good news is that there are a ton of new sessions to share! So many sweet faces have come into the studio in the last few weeks. So, without further ado, please welcome Miss Colette to the newborn blog!
My goodness, those cheeks! And rolls in all the right places! Such a sweet baby with the nicest parents! I’m always so honored when parents choose me to capture their little one’s first moments. So many families drive 30 minutes to over an hour to share their baby with me. What a privilege it is to spend my days with them!
Colette’s momma shares the same love for babies in buckets as me. So a baby in a bucket was a must for her newborn session, right? And of course spring babies need some flowers to go with that bucket. This type of set is becoming my speciality! I love all the buckets from Rozzi Rayne Studio Props, they are my go to prop!
Pink is almost always a request for girls but her momma requested green as well. Love the change up! Add a bow and some texture and you have one lovely newborn image.
I love pastel colors for babies! Soft and sweet just like the little ones!
Thank you so much for stopping by the newborn blog, I hope you like what you see! If you are expecting a little one and are considering newborn photography, please check out the newborn portfolio. I would love the opportunity to be your newborn photographer!
Oh Miss Emerson! Welcome to earth side and the blog, sweet girl! I know I say this every blog post, but she was so good to me! Not a peep or a mess out of this sweet baby for her newborn photography session. And to add that she has the best head of hair with the sweetest face, well that is just the icing on the cake!
Emerson’s big sister came to the newborn photography session. Toddlers can always be a bit of a wild card since you never really know how they will react in new situations, especially with a new baby in the scene. Her momma warned me that big sister is not a fan of having her photo taken and that it would probably be a struggle. Little miss was very shy upon arrival but eventually warmed up. We even got a few smiles! How sweet is this sibling duo? Melts my momma heart!
Most parents of toddlers are hesitant to include the older siblings in the newborn photography session. Understandable. However, it is such an amazing photo when you can get the siblings together! And honestly, what momma doesn’t love a photo of all of her babies together? I know I am raising my hand!
A few things to remember if you are bringing a toddler to a newborn session (or any photo session for that manner).
First, do not bribe them! As tempting as it may be, toddlers are instant gratification people. So when you tell them to sit and smile for a cookie, all they hear is cookie. A battle is certain to ensue.
Second, tell them what to expect and keep it positive! Let them know your photographer’s name, where you are going, and what will be happening. Show them photos on the wall and where you want to hang their photo.
Third, keep it positive! Toddlers tend to be active with a short attention span, getting frustrated with them will always back fire. Have low expectations and remember, it only takes a split second to capture a great photo!
Welcome Miss Olivia’s newborn photo to the blog! Oh this sweet little love, she stole my heart in a big way! Not a peep out of her during her newborn session- not to mention the feeling of our bliss from her parents that day. This session really reminded me why I have the best job ever. Not only do I get to snuggle fresh babies and meet awesome families, but I get to relive that new little love feeling. <3
If you follow this blog or maybe one of my social media accounts, you know how much I love a good baby in a bucket set. And you know how much I love florals. It’s not a newborn photo until you have both in my opinion! So in love with the soft colors, textures, and Olivia’s sweet little face!
What can I say, this girlie was as good as gold! And talk about rolls in all the right places!! Swoon! Newborn sessions are all about those tiny details and back and arm rolls are definitely ones you don’t want to miss!
Family portraits are always so special during a newborn session and this is no exception. Hands down, my all time favorite is this circle of love silhouette. It gives me all the feels.
A spring baby always needs a few flowers. Am I right??
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog to check out Olivia’s newborn session. Are you expecting soon and are considering newborn photography? Please check out similar posts to see if we would be a good fit. If so, I would love to chat with you!
Newborn sessions are scheduled by due dates since babies come on their own timeframe. In order to get sleepy poses seen here, between 6 and 14 days is ideal. A limited number of newborn sessions are accepted every month.
Welcome Mr. Ian’s infant photos to the blog! My goodness, what an absolutely sweet little baby he is! His momma and daddy are about the nicest people you can meet, I was so thrilled to be a part of this special time in their lives!
Ian’s momma is an elephant handler at the Cleveland Zoo. Is this not the coolest job you have ever heard of?? So of course we HAD to do an elephant set. I hope this will fit perfectly into his elephant themed nursery!
As fun as the colorful themed sets are, my heart really stays with the neutrals. How neat is this new prop from Libelle Props? Mr. Ian was so patient with me!
The variety that we can get on the beanbag is hands down second to none. The simplicity of infant photos and all those details really shine here. My goodness, he was so delicious! Those cheeks and rolls are divine!
Ian’s daddy was a big fan of this sleepy cap! How adorable is he? I do see a bit of red hair coming in, maybe he will be a redhead….my favorite!
Oh that sweet profile! Friends, it’s all about those details for infant photos! They are only this little for a blink of an eye.
You know how much I love a good bucket, right? No exception here! Loved all the angles from this set as well.
A little swaddle with a touch of blue…so cozy, comfortable, and sweet!
Oh those sweet little piggies! Baby toes are simply the best!
Family silhouettes are a new must for me. I do them every session. It gives a bit of variety and a different look.
Okay, okay, love this family! Have I said that yet? And for as sweet as they are, they are equally gorgeous!
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog to check out Ian’s infant photos! Interested in seeing more? Check out some similar blog posts.
Are you expecting soon and are looking for infant photos? I would LOVE to be your lady!
Welcome Sutton and Sawyer’s newborn session to the blog today! My goodness, this family was super amazing! I say that every time, right? It is true, I get the most amazing families and babies in my studio. I feel like the luckiest girl, getting to photograph babies and hang out with awesome people!
Back to baby goodness! These girls were so super good for their session, we were done in just under two hours. Crazy fast for twin newborns! A big shout out to my friend Lauren from Little Bear Photography for being the best assistant ever! I couldn’t do a twin session without her!
How sweet are these sisters? Goodness, they made having twins look so easy! It almost made want another baby….almost.
Well, if you have followed along to the baby blog long enough, you know how much I love neutral sets! This is no exception! Add a few headbands to this drop by Freebird Prop Shoppe and viola! A sweet and simple set that brings all the attention right where it should be, on these sweet little girls!
Individual shots are super important during newborn sessions as well. I love getting these babes by themselves as much as together. After all, they are only this little once!
These girls have the BEST big brother ever! He was so patient with us and my goodness, so handsome! I hope as Sutton and Sawyer grow up they don’t give him too much trouble! He will certainly watch out for them.
