Welcome back to another blog post! Can you believe that we are in mid October already? This entire year has gone by SO fast.
For today’s post, I am collaborating with Cyrine Cherif, who is a fellow Equestrian blogger and a professional show jumper. Cyrine has over 18 years of experience working with horses as well as coaching and mentoring many riders, from beginner to advanced.
I am going to tell you more about Cyrine and I also have asked her a couple interview style questions. Enjoy!
1. She Has Competed Nationally and Internationally
Cyrine is not only an amazing blogger, but she has also competed nationally and internationally for the stable Al Shaqab in Qatar. Not to mention that this stable is one of the biggest Equestrian complexes in the world! (WOW).
2. She Has a Coaching Program for Equestrians
As well as creating a blog, Cyrine has also created an online one-on-one coaching program for horse riders. Cyrine coaches many horse riders at Al Shaqab, so she has many years of experience. She has worked with Olympic level riders and trainers since she was very young. In her online coaching program, Cyrine mentors and helps many riders to improve their riding skills, solve any issues they are having with their horses, and creates personal exercises for each rider. This is a great program for any horse rider who is wanting to improve! Cyrine also has many amazing reviews from horse riders who had great success working with Cyrine and her program. If you are interested in her coaching program, I would definitely recommend you check it out!
3. She Also Has a Personal Development Blog
Besides having a successful equestrian blog, Cyrine also has a personal development blog. She writes on topics such as her favourite books for a month, long distance relationship advice, or happiness and positivity tips. People who have given her amazing reviews not only say that she is a fantastic riding coach, but she also is their life coach. Cyrine is a fantastic writer and very inspirational!
Next, I asked Cyrine a couple interview questions about the story behind why she started an equestrian blog as well as she tells us about her #1 riding tip.
What inspired you to start an Equestrian blog?
Actually I started my blog with self development because I really love it. I love self help books, and all those people who give advices on how to be the best version of yourself. It helped me a lot in my personal life. I even passed a life coach certification just to be able to help people have a better mindset and be more organized in their life.
But then I realized, people see me as a horse rider, cause it’s my job and my whole life…! So I should do something that resonates with who I am. I have a lot students and people who come to me for riding advices. This is when I decided, I should write about riding!
What is your #1 riding tip you would give to any rider?
Make sure you build a friendship with your horses, by spending time with them in the stable, in the paddock, in the field or whatever. They need love just like us. Build trust while you ride. The moment, they trust you and appreciate your love this is when you will discover the real thing about horse riding. And the real thing is when your horse is willing to do fantastic things for you. This is when you see some riders riding without a bridle in the woods and have 100% trust although their horse was unridable before or this is when you are able to win a 1m45 class with a horse who didn’t want to pass number one on a 1m20 couple of months ago.
Even if you don’t have your own horse, and you ride in a club, respect and appreciate the horses you are riding. Bring them carrots, pat them when you finish an exercise etc… They quickly know the difference between one rider and another.
Thank you so much for reading and make sure to go give Cyrine some love on her blog because she has a lot of valuable tips and helpful blog posts that apply to any rider. Until next time… don’t forget to hug your horse!
I am so excited for today’s post because it is my first ROOTD post (Riding Outfit of the Day)!! Today, I am partnering with Amery Equestrian to bring you my ROOTD and telling you my thoughts on the Amery Equestrian Jewelry. Amery Equestrian was so thoughtful to send me some of their jewelry pieces including their Stirrup Pendant Necklace as well as there Horse Shoe Earrings. Not only am I going to be showing you their amazing jewelry pieces, but I am also going to be showing my favorite riding clothes and what I usually wear to the barn.
I hope you enjoy today’s post and let’s get started!
I am absolutely IN LOVE with these earrings! Like, aren’t they so pretty?! These are Amery Equestrian’s Rose Gold Horse Shoe earrings and they are perfect for your everyday horse riding outfit. They are just the right size and they won’t get tangled up while you are riding, but they add a pretty touch to your outfit. Not only do I love to wear these to the barn, but I also love wearing them ANYWHERE! I’m officially obsessed! These earrings are available in silver and rose gold.
Can you see the rose gold pattern in this jewelry (haha)?? Amery Equestrian knew that I loved rose gold and were so kind to send me these two pieces in this color. The second piece they sent me is their Rose Gold Stirrup Pendant necklace and okay (confession time), I literally wear this necklace everyday. It is one of my favorite pieces right now! It is simple, but delicate and pretty and perfect for a riding day or any day! It also makes the perfect gift for any horse lover friend or family member.
Okay, let’s talk about this super cute top! This top is from my FAVORITE equestrian clothing store of all times, TKEQ! I am seriously in love with their clothing and not to mention that in September they are coming out with their brand new fall clothing line (eek so excited). This is their “Big Eq” shirt and it is super comfortable and light. It is a perfect clothing piece to add to your regular riding outfit, to wear to a horse show, to give as a gift to a friend, or even to wear anywhere!
When I was at a horse expo, I found these breeches and I knew I needed to buy them! These breeches are the Horze Grand Prix Women’s Leather Full Seat breeches. Let me tell you, these breeches are SO comfortable and stretchy for riding. I have worn these breeches every time I ride and I am in love! I also pair these breeches with my Horsely patterned belt. These breeches are a bit expensive, but they are so worth their cost, trust me!
Lastly, for my go-to riding OOTD, I put on my Auken Nouvelle II paddock boots (that are currently very dirty at the moment haha). I have had these boots for about 2 years and I have loved riding in them! They are super comfortable and don’t hurt your feet. I usually wear my riding boots with a pair of half-chaps. Both of these items I purchased from Greenhawk.
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I usually wear to the barn and I hope that it gave you some ideas for new products you can purchase for your barn attire! The end of the summer and start of school is the perfect time to get some new riding clothes, am I right? If you loved this post, make sure to give it a heart below! ALSO, make sure to go give all of the companies I listed above some love because they are are incredible and I am 100% serious! Until next time… don’t forget to hug your horse!
Which do you love the most? The pendant necklace or the horse shoe earrings?
Long time no talk and I want to apologize to all of you for not being very active lately. This summer has literally been crazyyy! Can any of you relate?!
Today, I want to explain to you all why I haven’t been so active lately. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably have heard more of me on there as I just to stay consistent with posts on Instagram, but I have definitely not been consistent on my blog lately. Just sit back and let me explain…
Why haven’t I been active?
Reason #1: I moved to a different city!
The first reason why I haven’t been very active lately is because my family and I actually moved to a brand new city. If you have moved before, you know that it can be very crazy and stressful at times. I have been in the midst of unpacking boxes and getting settled in to our brand new house, not to mention a brand new city. So that is the first reason why I haven’t been very active.
Reason #2: Blogger Break
If you are a blogger, you understand that every blogger needs a break sometimes. So not only have I been in the process of moving to a different city, but I have also been having a bit of a break from blogging. This break has been amazing and I am coming at you all with more inspiration and content for the blog! So get excited!!
I hope that this post helped you to understand why I haven’t been very active on the blog. But I want you all to know that I am going to much more consistent from now on and I have a lot of exciting things planned for the future! Thank you again for all sticking with me and for all the new people who joined and subscribed! You all are the best and this blog would not be alive without you all! Until next time… don’t forget to hug your horse!
