About seven months ago, I began my CBD journey. Like most others, I had no idea where to start when it came to delivery methods, strengths, and brands. A simple Google search for “high-quality CBD oil” left me feeling slightly overwhelmed, but ready to dig in and become more informed before making any rash decisions.
I began researching top brands like Charlotte’s Web and Green Roads; those were two brands that I knew about before starting my very own CBD journey. After some thought, I decided to purchase a bottle of Charlotte’s Web Full Strength CBD Oil in Mint Chocolate. I knew that I wanted to use the oil sublingually because from my research I learned that this is the best delivery method for not only your body but your pockets!
When my bottle arrived, I made the promise to myself that I would give it a genuine chance and do all the things by the book. I took the suggest serving size once in the morning, thirty minutes before I would typically become overly anxious. I recorded what I was feeling in a journal and continued this schedule for about a week. After noticing significant changes in my daily anxiety, I decided to try another dose at night to help get to sleep faster. Within just a week of this new routine, I was feeling overall much better, mentally and physically.
As my bottle began to run low, I started looking into more affordable options that would be similar to the CW oil I had been using. Throughout the first bottle, I began to dive into CBD research, and I felt confident enough to try a different brand. This is how I found Relive Everyday.
I was fascinated by how personalized Relive Everyday’s tincture selection felt. I was able to choose from three levels: 600mg, 1200mg, and 1800mg. Then, I got to choose from three different flavors: Natural, Watermelon, and Refreshing Mint. I decided to purchase RE-LIVE 1200mg Watermelon Hemp CBD Tincture. Making the switch, I saved $10 and was getting more CBD per serving.
Just like I had done with the CW oil, I took my new RE-LIVE tincture morning and night and recorded the results. I noticed very similar results, which to be honest I wasn’t really expecting. I had seen such significant changes with the CW oil that my standards had been set pretty high.
I can understand how foreign it may feel for someone just starting their CBD journey, I was there not that long ago. Take the time to do your research and don’t settle on one brand because they may offer the cheapest products on the market. I started with a more expensive, well-known brand, and ended up falling in love with a smaller brand that has some really high-quality products that I may not have found if not through trial-and-error. Luckily for me, I didn’t have to experience much error before finding the right brand and product for me!
Carl’s Jr. announced a new addition to the menu for one day only and at one location only. That new edition? The Rocky Mountain High Cheeseburger Delight. A cheeseburger consisting of two beef patties, topped with pickled jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, fries, and CBD-infused Santa Fe Sauce. This announcement is significant because Carl’s Jr. is the first major fast-food chain to put CBD on its menu.
If you live in the Denver area and are at least 18 years old, you can get this burger for $4.20 on April, 20th (4/20). While it’s all in good fun, let’s talk about why we wouldn’t waste our money on this 4/20 special.
The burger contains just 5mg of CBD. If you know anything about CBD, you know that when you use CBD in the form of an edible, you are already losing some of the CBD due to a process known as first pass effect. During this process, CBD is metabolized by the liver, lungs, gastrointestinal tract and blood. This causes a significant reduction in the amount of CBD that actually enters the bloodstream with the rest being stored in fat cells.
We love CBD edibles, especially gummies, but this is why when we recommend edibles they have at least 10-20mg of CBD. So, if you’re looking to try the Rocky Mountain High Cheeseburger and feel some sort of effect from the CBD, don’t get your hopes up. If you want to try it for the novelty, then by all means enjoy!
Do you think the Rocky Mountain High Cheeseburger is worth the hype – let us know in the comments below.
Dr. Bronner’s is not just a company with a product, but instead a story of man and his family who happen to have a passion for soap and love. It’s not just a soap though, it’s an amazing 18 uses in 1 product, from cleaning your vegetables to dishes and laundry. It’s strong peppermint and hemp oil combine for a potent and refreshing miracle solution. In fact, Dr. Bronners Hemp All-in-One Soap can be used for the following:
Dog bath soap
Clean fruits and vegetables
Bug spray for plants
Shaving face, underarm, and legs
All purpose cleaner
But wait! That’s not all! Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Hemp Soap gives you so much more. One of the first things that people notice is the label. It has writing ALL over it! Upon closer inspection, you’ll find that the bottle has quotes and snippets of knowledge about love, god, and life. It will take you a full shower to read it, and I guarantee you will be a fan of it, as it not only is entertaining for those boring showers, but also positive and inspirational.
The text on the bottle comes from the insights of the founder of Dr. Bronners soaps, Emanuel Theodore Bronner. Emanuel was in his families 3rd generation of soapmaking. His grandchildren are still directly involved in running the business, with his grandson David Bronner as CEO. Emanuel Heilbronn was born in Germany, to the Heilbronner family of soap makers. He came to the U.S. in 1929, and became a citizen in 1936. He started making his castile soaps at home, and was known for his trademark labels we mentioned above. They are sources from Jewish and Christian religious literature, but also famous writers such as Rudyard Kipling and Thomas Paine. Emanuel referred to his label text as the “Moral ABC” and “All-One-God-Faith” You can read the Dr. Bronner’s famous label yourself here.
About the Peppermint Hemp Soap
It sounds ridiculous to call it a wonder product, but truthfully, that’s how I feel about this soap. I’ve used it (along with the lavender variety) for years now, and can’t recommend this unique company enough. Let’s get to the nitty gritty though, starting with ingredients:
Official product description: Our most popular scent & with a peppermint burst so pure it tingles! Scented with organic peppermint oil to cool skin, clear sinuses and sharpen mind. Our Peppermint Pure-Castile Liquid Soap is concentrated, biodegradable, versatile and effective. Made with organic and certified fair trade ingredients, packaged in a 100% post-consumer recycled bottle. All-One!
The ingredients are short, simple, and if you Google them, you’ll find they are relatively harmless. Limited chemicals and organic ingredients when possible, my personal favorite! The coconut and olive oil helps to keep your skin smooth, while the hemp and jojoba provide vital minerals and vitamins. Caution: the peppermint variety is very strong and potent, so water down when using on your privates or on places like your armpits, it has a slight burn if you use it straight up. The lavender and other varieties do not have this issue.

When you work in the hemp industry, you begin to incorporate hemp-derived products into every step of your daily routine. This is especially true for all of us here at Hemp Helps; as our team often tests and reviews products so we can inform our readers on which products are worth spending their money on.
We’ve tried so many different hemp/CBD products in the past few months to review, most of which didn’t get the seal of approval from our team, so we’ve been wary on what we try lately. For the past few months, we’ve really been diving into skincare. We tried Cannuka’s line and absolutely loved the products! Last month, we were sent a package from Cannatera: a luxury, phytocannabinoid rich, broad spectrum skincare line.
When it comes to skincare, we are a little more cautious with what products we are trying and make sure we put them through an extensive review process. We had never heard of Cannatera, so the first task at hand was research. What is Cannatera, what’s in the products, and what makes this company and its products different?
Emphasizing the need to bring to market a natural alternative to skin care, Cannatera is formulated with the luxury consumer in mind, who seeks a natural skin care regimen they can feel good about from the seed to their face! Derived from industrial hemp grown in the sun of the Colorado Rockies and watered by pure artesian waters, our origin material is among the richest in total cannabinoids and compounds for the healthiest skin imaginable so that the consumer can put their best face forward! No fillers, no additives, nothing unnatural about it, just pure, clean, natural plant science anyone can feel good about!
After doing some independent research, our team was curious if the product line would live up to the description. Cannatera’s Ageless System is a three-step skincare system that includes a cleansing gel, facial serum, and a facial moisturizer. One member of the Hemp Helps team offered to swap their current skincare products out for a month and use the three-step system.
Finding natural skin care products that work well can be sort of complicated, so when I had the chance to try a “luxury, natural skincare system” I was excited. The three-step skincare system has been a total game changer for me.
I began using it only at night, and after a couple days of absolutely loving it, I started using the cleanser and moisturizer in the mornings as well. I noticed that the cleanser left my skin feeling refreshed and so smooth. I usually have the most issues with cleansers, leaving my skin feeling dull and dry – this was not the case with the REFRESH cleanser. The RENEW moisturizer was another big win and a new staple in my skincare routine. The moisturizer was light and didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. I was worried that the moisturizer would clog my pores, but it didn’t, and instead, it left my skin feeling great.
The only part of the Cannatera system that wasn’t a hit was the REVIVE serum. To me, the serum was sticky, and I didn’t see any changes. On the website, the serum is said to increase cell turnover, resurface the skin, and reduce breakouts while keeping inflammation at bay. I didn’t notice any of those things happening, and when I took the serum out of the lineup, my skin looked and felt so much better. It’s also worth noting that the serum is the most expensive product of the three!
Overall, I am happy that I had the opportunity to try out the Cannatera skincare system. I sort of became spoiled using this luxury skincare because I did fall in love with the cleanser and moisturizer – which is unfortunate because they are more expensive items than what I used before. I’m not sure if I will purchase them again just because of the cost, but I do recommend that if you can afford them to give them a try; your skin will thank you!

About 70% of the items I use daily were discovered through a subscription box that I ended up falling in love with and purchasing again. When our team received an email from Hemp Crate Co a few months ago offering to send us a box, we were all instantly in agreeance that we wanted to see what this company was all about. We love CBD & hemp, we love subscription boxes; let’s do it!
Hemp Crate Co is a monthly subscription box for hemp and CBD products. Each month they curate products from trusted brands and cultivators of industrial hemp and CBD and include them in their monthly crates. You can choose from 4 unique crates: Health & Wellness, Man’s Best Friend, Edibles & Beverages and Hempa the Explorer and you can further personalize the crate by choosing the starter or pro size.
We asked that they send us whichever box they wanted to, and we are so happy with the result. Hemp Crate Co sent us their Hempa the Explorer Pro Box, which retails for $69.99. The box was shipped and arrived at our office in just two days.
When we opened the box, the first thing we noticed was all of the literature. As an educational site, when we see any sort of educational resources, we are thrilled. They sent us their welcome guide (packed full of great information) and a Green Lotus hemp guide. Under the literature was 7 products. Those included:
Green Roads CBD Daily Dose – Pineapple Express Terps
Green Roads CBD Tea – Chamomile
Two (2) Sample-Sized Hemp Hearts Shelled Hemp Seeds
CBDMD Bath Bomb
CBDMD 300mg Tincture
Koala Bars CBD Chocolate Bar – Strawberry Cheesecake
Two (2) Hemp Crate Co Chapsticks – Jasmine Green Tea and Banana Taffy
We weren’t too sure about what to expect from Hemp Crate Co, or what brands would be in the box. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw brands like Green Roads and CBDMD in the box. A big bonus was how delicious the Koala Bars CBD Chocolate Bar was – a new brand that is now on our radar!
Overall, the entire process was great. Hemp Crate Co has fantastic customer service, reputable CBD brands and products in each box, and so many useful educational resources for customers. If you’re looking for a CBD/hemp subscription box, go check out Hemp Crate Co!
So you want to up your protein intake? Perhaps your nutritionist or primary care doctor suggested an increase in protein, or maybe you’re just trying to get jacked for the summer beach season. Whatever your motivation for exploring the many options in protein supplements, we hope this can help! We will compare and contrast the other popular protein sources, from whey to soy to hemp.
About Hemp Protein
Hemp protein is beneficial in numerous ways. It’s derived from the hemp plant seeds, and it consists of two globulin types of proteins, edestin and albumin. Edestin is generally rich in essential amino acids. It has a very high rate of digestibility compared to other proteins, as found in a study in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. The rate of digestiblity of proteins is important, as the more digestible a protein, the more efficiently your body can use it.
Once scoop of hemp protein provides the following nutrients (approximation – changes depending on brand):
12.6 grams of protein
7 grams of carbs
4.8 grams of fiber
3.4 grams of fat
15 percent of the RDA of calcium
23 percent of the RDA of iron
Hemp Protein vs Whey Protein
Both hemp and whey protein contain all nine essential amino acids, as well as a variety of From Livestrong.com:
Like whey, hemp contains all nine essential amino acids. As far as hemp protein digestion goes, this supplement is slowly absorbed into the GI tract, fueling your body over several hours. Therefore, you may consume it between meals or before bedtime to provide your muscles with a steady supply of protein. It’s important to note, though, that hemp has a lower biological value compared to whey.
Hemp protein does have the advantage of being plant sourced, which is better than whey for people who are allergic to milk or suffer from lactose intolerance.
Hemp Protein vs Soy Protein
Soy protein is a great alternative to hemp or whey protein sources. Soy protein is created from soybean meal that has been dehulled and defatted. It can be very beneficial, but perhaps not on par with the quality and benefits of hemp or whey protein. A 2014 clinical trial in Nutritional Research journal showed that whey protein is more effective at regulating appetite and improving body composition (muscle to fat ratio) when compared to soy protein. Hemp sees have been shown to promote cardiovascular health due to their ability to lower blood pressure and reduce cholesterol levels.
Stigma is discrimination based in disapproval for a group’s perceived differences. It tends to be steeped in misunderstanding and prejudice. Stigma is something that most cannabis users face at some point, simply because they choose to use a substance that has stood on the outskirts of counterculture for the last eighty years for racist and political reasons, not because it was ever a public health issue.
As cannabis prohibition comes to an end the world over, stigma still exists amongst certain groups. Arguably, the most stigmatized group of all cannabis consumers and enthusiasts are mothers. Why? For one thing, most mothers have been criticized about their parenting practices and decisions. In fact, according to a poll conducted by the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan, six in ten mothers of children ages 0-5 have been criticized about their parenting skills in some way, shape, or form. Breastfeeding, formula feeding, cloth diapering, disposable diapering, discipline, sleep training, co-sleeping, bedsharing, diet, lifestyle, homeschool, no-school, public school. Anything related to the care, feeding, and nurturing of children could become a topic of criticism. So it’s really no surprise that moms who choose to use cannabis face stigma and criticism, sometimes in extreme ways.
Stereotypical stoner image clashes with that of the good mom
Ask anyone to conjure up thoughts of a person who consumes cannabis and most will respond with some fairly stereotypical imagery. Cheech and Chong-like characters surrounded by clouds of smoke with squinty, red-tinted eyes and permanent grins splashed on their faces. These characters are completely devoid of any motivation to do anything other than consume more weed or eat junk food. They are completely intoxicated and impaired, unable to complete important tasks and function optimally.
Now conjure up the image of a “good” mother. Moms are held to high standards of functionality. The variables that define a good mom are numerous and subjective, but in most cases, good moms are fully committed to their family’s needs. They are excellent jugglers who keep all of the balls in the air, thereby maintaining the peace, calm, and functioning of their well-kept households and equally well-kept children.
Jumping off of that lofy image of the good mom, well-kept home and children and all – it’s fairly easy for some people to have a difficult time understanding how a mom could function well, meet the needs of her family, and also happen to consume cannabis whether it be medically, therapeutically, or recreationally. After all, stoners don’t get anything done and they certainly don’t have the awareness needed to maintain the health and safety of children. At least, that’s what the stigma says.
Banish the stigma – good moms do consume cannabis
You’ll find them on social media, supporting other moms through criticism and challenging decisions. You’ll find them taking their kiddos to the library for early learning time, or to the park so their kids can run, breathe in fresh air, and learn about all of the flying, furry, and feathered creatures that live there. You’ll find them pulling nutrient-dense meal recipes for kids off of Pinterest, and trading at home-activity ideas for rainy day fun with other so-called “good” moms. You may also find them consuming cannabis discreetly to treat any number of symptoms they are struggling with, ranging from pain to PMS to anxiety and depression. Their goal is to feel better, not to be high or impaired. Or you may also find them tucking in their kids at night after reading a book or two, and then slipping out to the porch for an evening puff instead of a glass of wine.
So what’s the problem with stigma?
For all people who are raising children, the notion that it takes a village is very true. Every mother depends on her village to help her as she raises her children in some way. But stigma is isolating. It harms the very people who depend on their villages to raise healthy children who grow into healthy adults. Harming mothers — the typical primary caregivers for the next generation of human beings since the beginning of time — hurts all of us. It’s time we rise above stigmas like this for the benefit of each other and for the benefit of our fellow humans. Support the good moms who consume cannabis. It’s really not that difficult.
Cannabis is widely misunderstood by people regarding its uses. It is true that marijuana, the cannabis species high in THC, can give you a mind-altering effect, but there is another cannabis species with many different uses that we don’t talk about as much.
Industrial hemp, a part of the cannabis family explicitly grown for its high fiber content, is used to produce many useful things. Being low in THC, hemp is used for manufacturing products such as clothing and paper.
Cannabis clothing culture is widely connected to clothing prints with marijuana plants and cannabis-related slogans.
The Chinese cultivated marijuana plants ages ago to manufacture clothing and has resurfaced again with the growing popularity of cannabis culture. Hemp clothing is now readily available online and can be ordered from (mostly) any part of the world.
But what makes hemp clothing different from cotton or similar clothing materials? Hemp has benefits that make it a better alternative than other fibers, and we are guessing you never knew about these facts.
Hemp Clothing Benefits
Porous and Breathable
It is known that cotton is breathable; we prefer it in the summer just because of this quality. But did you know that Hemp fibers are even more porous than cotton fiber, therefore allowing more breathability? This also means that hemp clothing does not take as much time to dry as it is rumored to.
Hemp clothing also tends to become softer with time and washing. Because of this feature, hemp clothing does not create a rough texture as cotton or other materials do after wash. This is because unlike cotton, hemp clothing does not accumulate lint on itself, which is responsible for the rough texture of the clothing.
Hemp clothing is more durable than cotton. The fibers of hemp do not break with washing or wearing; they get softer with time but do not tear up as cotton does. It is for this reason that hemp ropes became widely used during WW2 by the US army!
Hemp fibers are bonded together closer than any other, and it is suitable for anything that needs to be strong and durable. Hemp is widely used to make ropes and clothing due to its durability.
Cannabis clothing is eco-friendly. How? As it happens, growing hemp is far less harmful to the environment as compared to cotton. Cotton cultivation exhausts the soil of the land it is grown on.
Also, cannabis cultivation uses almost 50% less water to be turned into fiber. Cotton takes up a vast part of the world’s agriculture water use and therefore is making a contribution in the already rising water crisis.
If in future time cotton is swapped by hemp, one thing that can be assured is less water usage, and that is a much-needed step.
Hemp farming does not use pesticides. Cannabis farming for hemp fibers does not require the spraying or infesting of pesticide on the crop or in the soil, therefore saving the crop and the soil from the harms.
Cannabis has the potential to grow up without any use of pesticides, which makes it a much better choice on health parameters. Hemp clothing entirely removes the risk of getting in touch with any harmful pesticides or its aftermath.
Zero Toxic Chemicals
It is a wild myth that cannabis is a chemical drug. Cannabis, specifically hemp is far away from toxic chemicals!
Any clothing made from hemp has zero toxic chemicals and is far better than other options available in the market that are covered in chemicals. Cannabis cultivation does not use toxic chemicals to turn into a fiber for clothing. It is more natural or organic clothing and is definitely becoming a choice of thousands.
UV Resistant and Antibacterial
Hemp clothing is the most ethical and revolutionary clothing out there. The fibers of hemp clothing are not only chemical free but also protect you from the harmful UV radiation of the sun. This way it eliminates a considerable risk of skin cancer, and many other effects of exposure to the UV rays. As a bonus point, it also reduces tanning and therefore is an excellent choice for summer days.
This and the porous feature of hemp fabric, make it a fantastic option for sports clothing. Another plus point to the list of benefits of hemp clothing is that Cannabis clothing is antibacterial. It is an excellent addition to this your immunity system as it protects you from the bacteria floating around you in the surroundings. So basically, it is one miraculous shield for your skin from many dangerous, harmful UV radiations and bacteria.
Cannabis clothing is gaining popularity again, with time. Due to its better durability and other features, it is being adopted by many as an alternative to different fabrics.
Cannabis clothing still faces a stigma due to the recreational use of cannabis. There are also other myths surrounding hemp clothing. However, hemp is not as thick fabric as it is assumed to be by some people, and very comfortable to wear. It also happens to be good even for the most sensitive skin, as it is organic, plant-based and antibacterial.
It will take time, to understand the benefits of Cannabis as both a clothing fiber and its recreational use. But don’t let the misconceptions around the fabric stop you from choosing it, especially not after you know these amazing benefits.
Hemp clothing is not only good for you and your skin but also a great choice for the environment. So drop the chemical-laced clothing items, and go for a more organic and natural fabric to be a part of your wardrobe and your life.
Jessica has been closely studying the cannabis industry trends from quite some time. Intrigued by the booming growth of this sector, she takes an interest in penning down her views providing quality insight on current marijuana trends, particularly medical cannabis.
Research shows that cannabidiol is effective in reducing symptoms associated with anxiety, amongst many other things.
What is Anxiety?
Anxiety can manifest in healthy and unhealthy ways. Healthy anxiety acts as an alert system for our body to identify threats. In the past when we were hunter-gatherers, our bodies often responded to a predator, such as a bear, with anxiety and excessive worry. We may have found ourselves thinking about where the bear went or if he was going to eat us. This type of anxiety is normal in response to an external stressor. Today, healthy anxiety manifests as performance anxiety, such as worrying about our competence and capabilities when taking a test or giving a speech. However, unhealthy anxiety can have detrimental effects on our brain and bodies.
Anxiety affects about 20% of the adult population and is the experience of excessive worry about a number of different things, which leads to excessive nervousness and an inability to control the worry. Those with anxiety often experience restlessness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and concentration issues. This type of anxiety disrupts the quality of life and well-being and causes difficulty and impairment in functioning. Those with severe anxiety may find it challenging to live in the present moment because they are continually thinking about the future or past situations.
Traditional Treatments for Anxiety
Psychotropic medications used for anxiety include benzodiazepines. Benzodiazepines affect the chemistry of your brain by altering the activity of nerves. It is believed that increased nerve activity may lead to anxiety, so benzodiazepines suppress the activity to stimulate a calming effect. However, benzodiazepines may have long-lasting and detrimental side effects for users. Reported side effects include depression, drowsiness, confusion, irritability, sleep disturbances, and increased emotionality days later. Some chronic users report significant memory impairment and reduction in cognitive abilities. Research suggests that long-term use of benzodiazepines may not be the best choice for anxiety symptoms.
Cannabidiol (CBD) Treatment for Anxiety
While there are many prescription drug options for anxiety disorders, cannabidiol is proving to be an effective alternative. Research shows that CBD has anti-anxiety properties that help with a variety of disorders that include anxiety. CBD may be useful for those experiencing generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social phobia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
CBD assists in reducing anxiety for individuals suffering from these disorders on a cellular level. Similar to antidepressants, CBD enhances the effects of serotonin, a neurotransmitter in the brain. The CBD allows serotonin to be absorbed more readily and makes it available for the brain to metabolize. There have been numerous studies identifying the therapeutic effects of CBD for anxiety. Namely, Brazilian researchers administered CBD to participants with anxiety-related disorders, and they reported lower levels of perceived anxiety post-intervention when compared to pre-intervention.
Additionally, participants had lower heart rates and blood pressure post-intervention. Most importantly, CBD reduced cognitive impairment for those suffering from anxiety. Cognitive impairment is a side effect of most medications prescribed for anxiety.
Best Cannabis Strains for Treating Anxiety
Once you learn that you’re suffering from anxiety, the next step is to choose a strain of CBD that works best for you. Many strains are better suited for those experiencing symptoms of anxiety, including excessive worry, restlessness, cognitive difficulties, and sleep disturbance. Typically, strands higher in CBD or well-balanced with THC are the most effective in reducing symptoms. These strands include Harlequin, Harle-Tsu, ACDC, CBD-Shark, and Canna-Tsu.
Harlequin: This strain is mostly Sativa (75%) known for its high CBD levels. The ratio is typically is 16% CBD to 5% THC. This provides a relaxation response without sedation.
Harle-Tsu: Harle-Tsu has an extremely high amount of CBD, which is almost 19 times that of THC. This type of strain produces an elated effect without euphoria. Some typically report feeling joy after taking it.
ACDC: This is also a Sativa-dominant strain with the highest levels of CBD compared to any other type of cannabinoid. Most people report a deep, relaxed feel after taking it.
CBD-Shark: CBD-Shark is an Indica that has the same amount of CBD and THC. Most people utilize this strain at night, as it may produce slight grogginess. This is helpful for those who have anxiety symptoms before falling asleep.
Canna-Tsu: Finally, Canna-Tsu is a strain that promotes mental clarity and grounding effects. Most people report reduced anxiety while taking it, as it has an equal amount of CBD and THC.
Overall, research indicates that CBD is effective in reducing symptoms associated with anxiety. Anxiety is a condition that affects about 20% of the adult population. It causes impairment in one’s social and occupational endeavors, as well as produce significant distressful symptoms. They include restlessness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and concentration issues.
Although there are many traditional treatments for anxiety, such as benzodiazepines, the side effects have the potential for long-term damage. CBD oil appears to be a safer and more effective alternative for reducing anxiety. As such, numerous strands are advantageous for treating anxiety, including Harlequin, Harle-Tsu, ACDC, CBD-Shark, and Canna-Tsu. CBD should be considered as an effective treatment for those struggling with anxiety.

Your CBD journey will inevitably come with many questions, and you will most likely take to the internet to find answers. The only problem with that is how many different variations of an answer you will get for a straightforward question. One of the most common questions new CBD users are asking is: What is the best dosage for me?
We wanted to take the most popular CBD dosage recommendations, analyze them, and create a guide that will help find the right dosage for you.
Let’s look at the different dosage recommendations for three of the most popular consumption methods.
CBD Dosage for Tinctures
CBD tinctures, more commonly referred to as CBD oil, is one of the most popular ways to get your daily CBD intake. Tinctures are said to be one of the most effective consumption methods, as it recommended to use tinctures sublingually.
Sublingual means that you are to drop the oil under your tongue, allowing it to absorb through the blood vessels concentrated in that area. A good rule of thumb for sublingual consumption is to drop the oil under the tongue and hold it there for about 20-30 seconds before swallowing the remaining oil.
The oil part of the tincture is usually MCT (medium chain triglycerides or medium chain fatty acids), which is just a carrier oil derived from coconut or palm oil (you want coconut sourced, trust us, palm oil is awful for the world’s rainforests and related issues).
The recommended dosage for CBD tinctures can differ depending on the milligram (mg) strength of the product, the condition or illness you are trying to help, your budget and your personal body variables. You may also want to review our CBD Tinctures for Beginners to learn more about tinctures in general.
Commonly, companies producing tinctures use the following strength products:
500mg CBD Tincture
600mg CBD Tincture
800mg CBD Tincture
1000mg CBD Tincture
1200mg CBD Tincture
1500mg CBD Tincture
1800mg CBD Tincture
2000mg+ CBD Tincture
Only a medical professional can give you a prescribed dosage, but from reading over the many dosage guides from individual CBD brands, we can say this in a general manner: start low and go slow. CBD has a cumulative effect within the body, so more does not necessarily mean a better performance of its impact. Record how the CBD is interacting with your body each day and use the information to determine if you need a higher or lower dosage.
But where do I start? One of the best ways to find your initial dosage is to estimate your dosage based off of your body weight. The best suggestion for this method is to take 1-6mg of CBD for every 10 pounds of body weight based on how much pain you are feeling. Below is a table you can reference that we found from Honest Marijuana. Use this table as a starting point and adjust your dosage up or down accordingly.
CBD Dosage for Gummies
Everyone loves CBD gummies. From young to old, gummies are becoming a favorite way to take CBD daily. They are usually the best tasting option, and much more discrete vs. taking out a medical-looking tincture bottle. You can just pop open the bottle and eat a gummy or two!
Figuring out your dosage for CBD gummies is much easier to understand. A few common strengths you can find CBD gummies in are:
300mg CBD Gummies
600mg CBD Gummies
CBD beginners often get confused with the labeling on gummy bottles. Bottles are usually labeled by the amount of CBD the entire bottle includes. Each gummy has a predetermined amount of CBD, so a 300mg bottle could mean you’re getting 30, 10mg gummies. It’s important to check the bottle to see exactly how much CBD is in each gummy!
As we mentioned in the tincture section, start low and go slow. It may be best to start with one 10mg CBD gummy twice a day and record the effects for a while, then increase the number of gummies you take per day or even increase the strength! Try and stay consistent with the time-of-day you take your gummies.
CBD Dosage for Vapes
Vaping is growing in popularity because not only is it discrete, but most people feel the effects almost instantaneous! Vaping CBD requires a cartridge filled with CBD and a small heating element. Some require a small button to be held to activate, while others are just activated by inhaling on the pen-style vaporizing device.
The dosage can be difficult to determine and stick to, in our opinion, not only because it is hard to measure one person’s “inhale” vs. another, but also because it is so easy and tempting to take a few extra vape hits.
