No matter your dress code during the week, the weekend means you can finally wear whatever you want. Maybe you want to dress in head-to-toe pink feathers, or spend the whole of Saturday in scuba diving equipment, the important thing is if you want to, you can!

For those of you who like to wear something fun on the weekend but pink feathers aren’t really your thing, we have just what you’re looking for. Nothing says “weekend mood” like colorful socks, and these five have nailed their out of office look.

Presenting our top five day off outfits, in order of "weekend woo!" factor.

Photo by @jahnamichelle with Temple Socks

Number 5. Weekends are all about finally being able to let your hair down, and wear something comfortable. The classic jeans and sneakers look will never go out of style, but wearing it with a pair of patterned Happy Socks instantly brings it up to date.

Number 4. If the weekend was an outfit, it would look like this! Cool, casual and comfortable (with a hint of craziness, courtesy of Happy Socks!).

Photo by @miki__072 with Big Dot Socks

Number 3. This outfit is as close as you can get to wearing pyjamas outside the house while still looking so cool it hurts. The angular cut of the pants and shirt looks clean and modern, with a hint of happiness peeking out just above the sneakers!

Number 2. Weekend style, shorted! With summer on its way, no weekend style list would be complete without a pair of denim cutoffs. Add a touch of sophistication with a neck scarf and a playful extra with a pair of dotty Happy Socks!

Photo by @aaronfernandezmoda with Animal Socks

Number 1. This look speaks for itself! The turned up chinos, reflective sunglasses and red sneakers would be a weekend style winner all on their own, but combined with the co-ordinating top and Happy Socks this outfit is what weekends were made for.

It’s one of those trends that’s everywhere, but if you’re not an Instagram model it never looks quite right. WRONG! You can wear socks with heels and you can make it look so good people will think you personally invented the look.

Still not sure? We’re about to convince you so hard that you’ll be the one persuading us to try it out by the end of this post.

There’s no shoe more essential to every woman’s wardrobe than a pair of classic black pumps. There isn’t a single outfit they don’t go with (we challenge you to find us one). But you know what makes them look even better than they already do? Finding the perfect pair of socks to add a bold and unexpected detail. Not only does it give your look that extra something something, it means you can wear the pumps all year round. WIN-WIN.

Photo @whatwearhow with Big Dot Socks

You might think because summer is on its way (apparently) that it’s time to shut the sock drawer ’til Fall. Wrong again! Warmer days mean heeled sandals, and heeled sandals are just another unmissable opportunity to show off your socks. It’s almost like sandals were invented purely as a way to show off socks. So bring out the colorful dresses, grab a bright pair of Happy Socks and wear them with open toe sandals for a super cool summer look.

So there you have it. The case for wearing socks and heels is strong, and we think you’ll agree they actually look perfect together! As always, wear with confidence and you can't fail to look great.

We’d love to see how you wear your Happy Socks with sandals, so go ahead - take a snap and share it with us on social media! Remember to use our handles and the hashtag #HappinessEverywhere so we can find your posts.

For Fall/Winter 2017, Happy Socks main collection is a playful reflection of the passionate spirit, and the people who carry it. Their passion is an inspiration to us, and now we want to pay tribute to their unwavering determination to take the road less traveled.

Meet Nikki Nalepa and Yanique Venezia, two creative spirits who decided to never work a day in their lives.

Partners in passion since 2012

Nikki Nalepa was already a vintage collector par excellence when she took over Venice Beach- based vintage boutique Gotta Have It in 2012. With the help of her friend and business partner Yanique Venezia, the pair buy, sell and trade unique pieces that lure in customers from around the world.

This is a labour of love,” Nikki says. “It’s important to be passionate about what you do because you put every drop of your blood, sweat and tears into it. So if you don’t love it then it’s not worth it.”

Nikki and Yanique eat, sleep and breathe their boutique, spending more time there than in their own homes. They truly love what they do and believe anyone else who feels the same should do everything they can to pursue their own personal happiness.

Nikki and Yanique’s dedication to their passion and quest to never work a day in their life is why we choose to celebrate them as passionate spirits.

For Fall/Winter 2017, Happy Socks main collection is a playful reflection of the passionate spirit, and the people who carry it. Their passion is an inspiration to us, and now we want to pay tribute to their unwavering determination to take the road less traveled.

Meet Gunner Foxx, the Mad Master Hatter of Hollywood. A true passionate spirit, and inspiration.

Passion takes time

When Gunner Foxx began learning the art of hatmaking from his grandfather, he wasn’t immediately enthusiastic: “It was a chore, I hated it. There was always a bunch of old guys hanging around playing gin rummy, and I just wanted to be out with friends causing trouble”.

Little did he know, that those “old guys” were the likes of Marlon Brando and Robert Mitchum, and he would follow in his grandfather’s footsteps to become Hollywood’s master hatmaker.

Gunner believes that there should be an agreement between the Hatter and the Wearer. That a hat should hold a lifetime guarantee, and produced for one head in particular. Which is what makes him unique - and maybe a bit mad. But in the best passionate, way possible.

Using early-19th century hatmaking methods and felting techniques no longer used in the modern hat industry, he has created unique pieces for films, actors and musicians. Gunner now opens his workshop doors to the average Joe, so everyone has the opportunity to own a small but significant piece of his creative passion.

Gunner’s passion for his craft and will to create something unique for each customer, is why we choose him as a passionate spirit.

From decorating trees to leaving milk and cookies for an old man who insists on climbing down your chimney once a year; the holidays are full of wonderfully quirky traditions. Our favourite is the use of sock-shaped gift bags, known as Holiday Stockings. Not just because “Santa Claus” fills them with gifts and candy; because their story is a lot like ours.

But first: have you ever wondered why we fill socks with gifts and candy?

St. Nick and the Secret Gold

There are many theories, but a common origin story. St. Nicholas (a.k.a Grandfather Christmas) was walking through a town, when he heard of a poor family who was having anything but a happy holiday. Nick decided to help by giving them some of his gold. He wanted it to be a secret, or a surprise, so he put the gold in some stocking, hung to dry by the family's fireplace.

Happy Holiday Stockings

Theories aside, the tradition became a holiday hit. In 1883, The New York Times reported that the plain, white socks had been replaced with wonderful, colorful ones. “...even the empty stocking may be a thing of beauty, and its owner can display it with confidence…”. The overlooked item became a creative design piece. Just like Happy Socks.

Have a Wonderful, Colorful December

December is a month that brings us all together. When the days are shorter, the climate colder and the nights darker, we all have to do our part to spread happiness and colour to family and new friends. A smile, some encouraging words, festive decorations or even a colourful pair of socks can make a big difference.

Discover our collection of holiday themed socks; find a perfect gift for that special someone in your life, or just to feel some sweet happy holiday spirit.

Do you always find yourself staring into a closet packed with clothes but you’ve still got nothing to wear? Does it take you forever to find the right outfit, but you’re never happy with what you have on? You’re not the only one! But before rushing off to buy loads of new clothes, try a few of these tips and you’ll learn to love what you have again. After all, there was a time when you liked it enough to buy it!

Declutter

Sometimes all your closet needs is a spring clean. If it’s been a while since you’ve sorted through what you have, it might be time to declutter. Decide what you want to keep, give to goodwill, sell or just outright throw away. If you’re someone that hoards clothes this might be tough, but be ruthless. If you haven’t worn something in the past year, it’s likely you’re not going to wear it again, so it's time to show it the door!

Get organised

If you feel like you never have anything to wear, the problem could be that you just can’t see what you have. Once you’ve decluttered, put everything back in a good order: store the items you use most at eye level, lesser used items below and the items you rarely use higher up. Shelf dividers and storage boxes are helpful for keeping everything neat and hooks can create extra storage space for hanging things on. If you're serious about organisation you can even try color coding your closets to find things more easily.

Rethink how you get dressed

Getting dressed is easy, right? Choose something to go on the top and the bottom, put on some shoes and there you have it! Well, sort but, but not quite. If nothing seems to pair well together, or you feel like your clothes never look how you want them to, it could be because you’re missing that finishing touch. Find accessories that liven up your look, a pair of colorful socks, a hat or a piece of statement jewellery can instantly transform an outfit and make it feel more "like you".

Don’t give into pressure

The internet offers unlimited style inspiration, but it can also make you think too much on what other people have that you don't. When all you see is people uploading #ootd after #ootd, it can make you feel like you always need to be wearing new clothes too. But don’t be afraid to repurpose your own clothes, find different ways to wear pieces and team them with different accessories to make them look fresh. You’ll be surprised how many ways you can wear one piece, and when you learn to be happy with what you have, you’ll be happier all round!

Do you have tips that could help people to feel happier with their clothes? We’d love to hear them, so go ahead and share them with us on social!

Passion inspires us; which is why we’ve fallen for G4SHI (pronounced Gashi). The American rapper dropped out of high school and left home to make his dream come true; a goal he recently achieved after releasing one of the hottest singles of 2017 and signing with the legendary record label Roc Nation.

Born in Libya to Albanian parents, G4SHI isn’t your typical American hip hop artist: “I got into music while I was growing up in Brooklyn. I always had friends who liked rap, and although I couldn’t speak English at the time, I’d see how rappers would write these funny rhymes. One time I went home and wrote my own 16-bar rap. Hip hop started everything for me.”

G4SHI is proud of his past as an unsigned, independent artist. His first mixtape, Last of a Rare Breed, was hosted by hip hop and R&B producer Don Cannon and featured tracks with heavy weights like Nipsey Hussle and French Montana. In 2012 he founded Moxy, a crew which aims to bring together artists from all kinds of creative backgrounds.

5 years later, in June of 2017, G4SHI announced that he would take his talents to Roc Nation, a legendary record label founded by Brooklyn icon JAY-Z. He also released Disrespectful, one of the most popular songs of the year with over 27 million streams on Spotify.

He credits his success to his relentless passion for what he does: “I’m so passionate I scare people away! I’m so passionate that I come over emotional because if I wasn’t, my music wouldn’t be what it is.”

G4SHI shares our pursuit of happiness through creativity. He isn’t afraid to be himself and to stand out from the crowd. His passion is what makes him unique. Without it, he’d simply be another rapper. We hope his story will help you step into this fall season in style.

Check out G4SHI’s Autumn/Winter ‘17 favorites and express yourself!

Happy Socks fans really do come from far and wide, and that’s something we’re immensely proud of. They’re an adventurous bunch who love exploring, and are often caught camping in the wilderness, kicking back on the beach, or even atop a snowy mountain!

If you needed more incentive to take a trip to Indonesia, look no further! Who could resist a backdrop like this? The epic scenery in Bandung makes for the perfect place to show off a colorful pair of Happy Socks, although we must admit, we think they look great anywhere!

Happy Socks are not for the faint-hearted, as this daredevil proves as he cycles hands-free through New Zealand. Our colorful socks have been known to make people happy, but this is proof that when you’re happy you’re also brave (don’t try this one at home, kids!).

Out of all the Happy Socks adventures we’ve seen, this one may be the most adventurous! Or maybe we mean “crazy”...what do you think? It doesn’t really matter, because at the end of the day, we like our customers like we like our socks, offbeat with more than a touch of eccentricity!

Carry on sharing photos of your Happy Socks adventures! We love seeing them, and you could end up on our blog. Remember to use the hashtag #HappinessEverywhere, and always tag our handles so we can find your pics!

For Fall/Winter 2017, Happy Socks main collection is a playful reflection of the passionate spirit, and the people who carry it. Their passion is an inspiration to us, and now we want to pay tribute to their unwavering determination to take the road less traveled.

Meet Adam Midkiff and Hunter Pritchett, also known as the Goldenboys. The culinary duo has made it their mission to push their creativity each and every day, while spreading their delicious craft to the mouths of as many people as possible.

A spoonful of creativity

Chinese Pop-Up Chefs Adam Midkiff and Hunter Pritchett aren’t just in their line of business to make great food. They love the happiness their mouth-watering dishes can inspire: “It’s amazing to see someone really enjoy something we’ve created.”

Drawing from their own experiences of Chinese food in the red- lacquered restaurants of the USA’s East Coast and the humid and rowdy street food stalls in Southeast Asia, the pair have invented a new concept with a uniquely Southern Californian spirit.

Pop-up passion

Now better known as the Goldenboys, their moveable guerrilla pop-up restaurant allows them to indulge their passion for Chinese food and push their own creative boundaries: “Being a chef you get to learn something new everyday, so everyday you have something to learn and look forward to. You can carry on pushing yourself in this direction to make yourself better, and we have fun doing this!”
