Men Health Month continues and the truth is that it should never really be over. Fellas, taking care of yourself is extremely important, especially when statistics like the following are true: 1 in 2 men get cancer in their lifetime or that  30% of men experience depression, yet only 1 in 4 actually talk about it. For tips on how to live a healthier life we suggest this article.

So How Can CBD Help?

Cbd has been known to have a tremendous amount of benefits both for humans and animals.  In fact according to Heathline “In recent studies, CBD has been linked to having a potential role in treating many common health issues, including anxiety, depression, acne and heart disease. For those with cancer, it may even provide a natural alternative for pain and symptom relief.” The power of CBD is something

What is CBD?

For those new to CBD, it is important to  understand first what CBD is, unfortunately, there is quite the troubling amount of misinformation out there on what CBD is and what methods are more effective than others. Here at GoGreen Hemp we have made it part of our mission to inform our customers as well as the general public on exactly what CBD is and we do so with transparency. For a guide on everything CBD click here.

How does CBD work?

Humans have a network of cell receptor proteins cb1 and cb2 receptors with many functions which are part of the endocannabinoid system, or ECS. The ECS is arguably the greatest neurotransmitter system in the body. It has the potential to affect :

  • Appetite
  • Bone Development
  • Immune Function
  • Memory
  • Mood
  • Motor Control
  • Pain Perception
  • Sleep

The ECS has four primary functions which include: neuroprotection, stress recovery, immune balance and homeostatic regulation. CBD has the ability to interact with cells in our bodies because the molecules have similar composition to a chemical that our body produces naturally called endocannabinoids. Various studies have proven that endocannabinoids can help ease stress, decrease inflammation, reduce anxiety, and increase overall well-being.

So How Can Men Benefit?

CBD has been known to aid in a range of issues, which is why we have compiled a list of products that we believe men can benefit from.

GoGreen Hemp Tincture - Can help you get your daily dosage of CBD.

GoGreen Hemp Balm Salve - For targeted relief!

That is why we have rounded up 7 of our best tips to help all the fellas out there!

Check Up

One of the most important tips that we could share with you is simple -get a yearly checkup! Understanding what is going on with your body is the first step in taking any actions to living a healthier life! Check ups range from your doctor, to screenings, even dental exams should be on your yearly check-up list!

Be aware but don’t self-diagnose.

What we mean by this is that it is important that you are aware of what is happening in your body, but “googling” what could potentially be wrong, is not necessarily the best path to take. Speaking with a professional about symptoms is always a better route, as you will likely get more accurate information.

Eat to nourish your body!

Move, as in get active!

Whether you enjoy going to the gym, hiking, yoga, or just taking a walk, exercise is essential for our health. Make sure that you are not exerting your body, but challenging it!

Prioritize sleep..

In fact this might be the most important tip we can mention today. Resting and recovering is essential for the human body. Men need at least 7 hours of sleep, something that should not be taken lightly. In fact, if you are having trouble sleeping try these.

Check in with yourself.

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Understanding what anxiety, depression, and numerous other mental health issues is vital to improving your health. Reaching out for help if you need it is perfectly fine and in fact encouraged.

Do something for YOU, everyday.

Whether you enjoy reading books, meditating, or practicing a sport doing something that makes you happy.

The CBD market has skyrocketed and exploded to become one of the fastest growing industries. The market continues to flourish and companies have flooded the market. Previously, consumers were limited to a few product options from a few brands. However, today they are faced with a situation where there is so many options to choose from and dozens of different brands. Unfortunately, the expansion of the market also means that low quality CBD products have made their way into the market.

Since not all CBD products are created equal, how do you ensure that you find the best CBD products in the market?

  • Look for the ingredients in the product

You should definitely interested in the types of ingredients used in a product. A good product should have some organic and all natural ingredients. Also look for products with premium ingredients that were added to enhance the benefits of the product. For example Melatonin in CBD sleep capsules or vitamin B12 for pain relief.

  • The type of CBD used in the product

CBD products either contain full spectrum CBD, broad spectrum CBD or CBD isolate. These products are different and you need to know the differences. The difference usually arises from the extraction process.

CBD isolate is pure CBD extracted from the hemp plant, isolated from other cannabinoids and is 99% pure CBD extract

Full spectrum CBD is extracted from the hemp plant alongside other cannabinoids like THC.

Broad spectrum CBD is sort of a mixture of CBD isolate and full spectrum CBD only that it contains full spectrum CBD without THC.

The best products are the CBD isolate and broad spectrum products because of legality issues.

  • Product pricing

Prices are a usual indicator of the best products. However, this does not imply that the most expensive products are the best. The price of a product is influenced by the premium ingredients it contains, whether the product contains special features and whether the product is a company with an outstanding reputation. Compare the prices of your product choices. Don’t go for overly cheap or expensive products.

  • A company’s reputation

A company’s reputation is a great way to gauge the legitimacy of a product or brand. Companies with a good reputation are usually the ones with the best products. Look for companies that have been in business for at least 3 years as this indicates they have experience in the manufacture and distribution of products.

  • Check product reviews

Today, it is possible for you to find out about a product even before you purchase the product. With a few clicks on the internet, you can find out what previous users of a product have to say about it. In most cases, you can trust these reviews to make your judgment. The best products will have more positive than negative reviews. Even the best products cannot fail to have some negative feedback but the positive should outweigh the negatives.

CBD oil and CBD oil products have great health benefits. Nevertheless, you should be careful as you go about your purchasing decisions so that you don’t end up buying substandard goods.

You’ve probably heard about CBD for human use but have you ever that CBD could be good for your pets and animals? There is no doubt that CBD is full of health benefits which are great for humans. These benefits can also be enjoyed by animals. What’s even better is that your pet will not get high from taking CBD. CBD benefits the body by interacting with the endocannabinoid system which is present in both humans and animals. In addition, many other conditions present in humans that CBD helps to treat like anxiety, arthritis, pain and convulsions are also present in pets.

The benefits of CBD for animals like dogs include:

  • It is a powerful painkiller

CBD is a powerful painkiller since it has an effect on anandamide which is a chemical that helps dampen pain signals in the brain. In addition, CBD has anti-inflammatory properties which make it a good remedy for arthritic pain and other inflammatory conditions. Lastly, due to its effect on pain, CBD helps in the management of cancer pain and other cancer symptoms.

  • Anti-convulsion

Historically, CBD was used to treat epilepsy in children and it helped reduce the number of epileptic episodes they experienced. Today, CBD is used an anti-convulsion on a larger scale. So the next time your pet has a seizure or fit, CBD may come in handy. There are also studies that indicate that a combination of CBD and THC is an effective treatment for Tourette’s syndrome and multiple sclerosis.

  • Treating neurodegenerative disease

There have been dog studies that show CBD to be effective against degenerative myelopathy, Alzheimer and Parkinson. The studies also show that older dogs can be protected from brain cell death caused by free radicals and toxins if they are given CBD.

  • Treating nausea and loss of appetite

Pets can sometimes struggle to eat for one reason or another. Once you have tried several remedies or treatments to feed them with no relief, then you should try CBD. As is the case in humans, CBD helps to relieve nausea and loss of appetite.

  • Promoting cardiovascular health

The cardiovascular health of animals can be improved by taking CBD infused foods according to research.

  • Anti-depressant

One of the greatest benefits of CBD is that it is a great anti-depressant. Since CBD contains terpenes, it is a natural stress reliever.

  • Anti-anxiety

Cannabinoids generally work in synergy to combat anxiety. Some tell-tell signs that your pet is anxious include:

  • Being overly cautious of strangers
  • Chewing on furniture
  • Defecating in the house
  • Overly aggressiveness.

In such a situation, you can use CBD to treat the anxiety.

  • Nausea and vomiting relief

Nausea and vomiting in pets can be caused by different reasons. CBD can work to alleviate these symptoms.

  • Cancer treatment

CBD is a good cancer treatment for both animals and humans. In addition, some studies suggest that it can slow down the growth of tumors.

CBD is just as beneficial for animals as it is for humans. When your pet is going through a problematic period, you can use CBD to alleviate some of the symptoms.

Happy World Environment Day! Today at GoGreen Hemp it is a celebration of the environment around us. We understand how important it is to take care of the planet and to truly appreciate the beauty that is around us. In honor of our planet, here are  some fascinating facts about hemp and how environmentally friendly it is!

  • Hemp is thought to be the first domestically-cultivated plant, with evidence of hemp fabric dating to 8,000 years ago found in Turkey (former-day Mesopotamia). Other evidence suggests cultivation further back by two or more thousands of years.
  • Hemp products are now legal in the United States, although ingredients or end products are currently imported from other countries – particularly Canada.
  • Hemp products are now legal in the United States, although ingredients or end products are currently imported from other countries – particularly Canada.
  • Levi jeans were originally made from hemp

Not only has hemp been around for thousands of years, hemp can offer sustainable solutions for the following:

Synthetic plastic

Cotton

Tree paper

Crude oil

The plant itself also has many healing benefits. As the oil extracted from the plant has over 80 different cannabinoids. Cannabidiol or CBD is a non-psychoactive (non-intoxicating) component of the cannabis plant. Unlike marijuana, CBD will not result in a feeling of euphoria. Over the past years numerous studies have highlighted the potential of CBD. CBD has been recognized for its benefits on human and animal health..

Overall, the hemp plant has the power to not only provide a sustainable solution for many of the problems that are harming our environment as well as provide healing properties to both humans and animals. As we celebrate World Environment Day, let’s pledge to take care of our environment and look into ways of replacing some of our daily items with hemp products!

Did you know that Every year, more than 480,000 people die in the United States (U.S.) due to tobacco-related diseases. In fact, it is estimated that 1 out of 2 smokers will die of tobacco-related issues.

Smoking actually tends to cause more deaths than:

  • alcohol use
  • firearm-related incidents
  • HIV
  • illegal drug use
  • motor vehicle incidents

And yet over 34.3 million Americans over the age of 18 are tobacco users. So why is it so hard for consumers to give up smoking? Nicotine. Nicotine stimulates the release of dopamine, a molecule known to give a “bliss” effect, a powerful neurotransmitter playing in the pleasure circuits of the brain. A brain addicted to nicotine constantly craves nicotine so that more dopamine will be released and give it those intense pleasurable sensations again. The addicting properties in nicotine are exactly what makes it so dangerous. The introduction of E-Cigarettes created quite a buzz in the tobacco industry; however, due to all the negative risks, consumers have started to replace this with CBD.

What is CBD?

For those that are not aware Cannabidiol or CBD is a non-psychoactive (non-intoxicating) component of the cannabis plant. Unlike marijuana, CBD will not result in a feeling of euphoria. And unlike Nicotine, CBD is not deadly, in fact it has been known to have a long list of benefits. Over the past years numerous studies have highlighted the potential of CBD. CBD has been recognized for its benefits on human and animal health.

The Many Forms of Taking CBD

CBD-rich cannabis oil products can be taken sublingually, orally, or applied topically. Concentrated cannabis oil extract can also be heated and inhaled with a vape pen. Using inhalation is a good method, as effects can be felt within a minute or two. The effects of orally administered CBD-rich oil can last for hours, but the onset effects is much slower than inhalation.

How CBD Can Help With Nicotine Addiction:

As any smoker knows, quitting is easier said than done. However, recent studies have shown that CBD might be able to reduce the urge of smoking and help alleviate some of the withdrawal symptoms that occur when an individual quits smoking. CBD has been said to have stress relieving properties as well as anti-inflammatory properties. These benefits help with the stress the body undergoes and the symptoms such as headaches and body pain.

GoGreen Hemp

Go Green. Save Green. It's that simple, we provide our customers with the best service, quality product, at some of the most affordable prices on the CBD market.

CBD is used to treat many ailments like inflammation, anxiety, insomnia and many other conditions. Over the years, CBD has gained popularity as natural way to treat chronic pain and other afflictions. In addition, taking CBD does not make one high and it can help counteracting negative THC-induced reactions. It is for this reason that people are turning to CBD as a natural alternative to pharmaceuticals.

The best ways to consume CBD will depend on what your goals are. For quick relief, inhalation and sublingual administration are the best because they take effect the quickest. On the other hand, joint pain and achy muscles would best be treated by a topical solution to get localized pain relief.

In general, there are four ways of delivering CBD to the body.

Orally

The mouth is one of the most convenient ways to administer CBD to anyone including children and pets as well. But ingestion is a lengthy process because CBD will have to travel through the digestive system first. CBD is broken down in the liver. This reduces the cannabidiol concentration before it is released into the bloodstream. A study suggests that taking CBD with fatty acids increases the rate of absorption.

The CBD products available for oral administration include CBD oils, capsules, infused candies, and infused foods.

Sublingual

Sublingual administration of CBD is similar to oral administration but it is more efficient. Here, you hold the dose under your tongue for a minute before swallowing what has been left unabsorbed. Sublingual administration is more efficient because you bypass the digestive system and the liver, allowing the cannabidiols to enter the bloodstream immediately. As a result, the effects will usually kick in within few minutes. Sublingual delivery is now the popular method of CBD intake. The CBD products that can be taken sublingually include tinctures, droppers, mouth sprays or pastes.

Topical

Topical administration of CBD is a more targeted pain relief method for specific parts of the body. It is the best way to treat achy joints and sore muscles. In topical administration, the cannabinoids never enter the bloodstream since they are directly absorbed to begin interacting with the cannabinoid receptors in the area.

Unfortunately, the skin has a low absorption rate for cannabinoids because the human skin is not so permeable. As a result, you have to apply a liberal amount of the CBD in order to experience its effects. Therefore, it is important that you choose lotions and salves with high CBD contents because they give a higher chance of getting some reasonable amount of CBD through your skin.

Inhalation

CBD can be inhaled through smoking or vaping. Inhalation is an effective method of administration because it takes effect immediately. With the plenty of low-THC and high-CBD strains and oils that can be vaped, you cannot run out of options to inhale CBD. The lungs have a large surface area for absorption of CBD and the cannabidiols enter the bloodstream after inhalation. Vaping is a quick relief method because CBD oils have greater potency.

CBD has lots of health benefits that can be enjoyed with any method of consumptions.

Since its legalization federally, new CBD products are constantly hitting the market.  Whether you are a new user, or an experienced CBD user, there’s just one common concern, how to get the most out of your CBD.

Most CBD products are so new that they have only been in the market for a couple years or less. They come in various forms, shapes, and sizes including lotions, tinctures, oils, e-liquids, capsules, CBD Gummies and more.

However, the revolutionary Water Soluble CBD Nano Tinctures are changing the game when it comes to getting the most out of your CBD.

The CBD Nano tincture comes in liquid form and has a very potent Cannabidiol content. These Nano-enhanced CBD Tinctures are made using nanoparticle technology, helping travel through your body’s endocannabinoid System minimal loss.  This makes the CBD Nano tincture have a stronger and faster effect on the body.

There’s much to learn about these popular CBD Nano Tinctures. Let’s dig in and discover how they work.

How CBD Nano-Enhanced Tinctures Work

The nanoparticle technology is on the cutting edge of CBD development. CBD Nano Tinctures is are created by coating the compound with microscopic fat. The result is Nano-enhanced CBD oil that is 10x more effective!

By formulating it this way, it helps minimize the amount of CBD lost as it is absorbed through your body. CBD interacts with the body through the endocannabinoid system – the system that helps regulate the body’s general state of balance. This system is made up of millions of cannabinoids, receptors found in the central nervous system (CB1) and immune system (CB2) that act as communication center for your body’s neural networks.

The effects felt are stronger and immediate within the robust endocannabinoid system. Whether you are using it for anti-anxiety, sleeping, or for medicinal purposes, you feel the effects faster and for an extended period. You get much more out of the product with fewer drops. Your body absorbs Nano-enhanced CBD into your body at a rate close to 100%!

How to Use Them

In light of the introduction of hemp products into the market, the endocannabinoid system has come under intense scrutiny. Only a small amount CBD Nano tincture consumed ever affects this system. They use a Nano-liposomal delivery system that allows your body to absorb and reap the benefits fully.  A CBD Nano tincture is not intoxicating, meaning it won't get you high.

The liquid is commonly mixed with a sweet-tasting carrier oil like peppermint or orange. On its own, it is not palatable and can be very bitter. The final product is a potent, with a very high CBD content and no more than the required 0.3% THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol).

It is commonly added to salad dressing, soup, coffee, and tea. Still others take it sublingually, underneath the tongue. When taken sublingually, it is absorbed by the body faster compared to other oral methods with effects being felt within 15 minutes. However, due to the potent taste we definitely recommend and urge you take it with coffee or tea.

Beyond interacting with cannabis, the process it is named for, the endocannabinoid system (ECS) plays an important role in our bodies ensuring that our bodies’ internal system is stable and optimal at all times.

What Is the Endocannabinoid System?

To answer that question, we will have to break down the word "endocannabinoid." "endo" is short for "endogenous," which means that it is produced naturally inside of your body, and "Cannabinoid" is derived from "cannabis."

Therefore, "endocannabinoid system" simply means a network of cannabis-like elements occurring naturally inside us.

Why the ECS is Crucial for the Body Crucial for Homeostasis

Homeostasis simply refers to your body's efforts to keep everything in the right zone, which happens to be the function of ECS anyway. Homeostasis tries to keep your internal environ
ment stable and optimal despite and in spite of what's going on in the environment around you.

Just like the electronics dashboard in a car or plane, that continuously monitors whether the machines are at optimum, our bodies also work continuously to monitor important levels and functions in our bodies. Is the temperature too low, too high, or just right? Are our hormone levels what they should be? Is the heart beating too slow, or too fast? Do you need to exercise or rest? Is too much of something building up inside our cells or in our bloodstream? When something is amiss outside the normal range, our bodies activates the ECS to help correct it. So, the next time you are too hot and you begin to sweat, thank your ECS for attempting to cool you down. When your stomach begins to grumble that is simply your ECS reminding you to put food in there as you are running low on fuel.

The Role of Cannabinoids

The ECS does this through the cannabinoid receptors found in select tissues around the body. Cannabinoids are receptors in the nervous system and around your body, that bond with endocannabinoid system to ensure that it is functioning normally. It also occurs naturally in the hemp plant as THC and CBD.

There are at least two known types of cannabinoids receptors:

CB1 – This is located in the central nervous system and comprises the brain and nerves of the spinal cord.

CB2 – This lies in the extreme ends of the nervous system, specialized cells in the immune system and the digestive system.Through these receptors, the ECS helps regulate various crucial functions in the body such as:

  • Appetite
  • Digestion
  • Immune function
  • Inflammation, including neuroinflammation
  • Memory
  • Mood
  • Motor control
  • Pain
  • Pleasure/reward
  • Reproduction/fertility
  • Sleep
  • Temperature regulation

Your body activates the ECS with precision so that it affects only what it needs to. Say, your reproductive hormones are malfunctioning; it will work to regulate them without interfering with your immune system or your digestion.

Then, once the endocannabinoids have everything working at optimum again, certain enzymes come along to process and break them down hence deter them from going too far and upsetting the balance in the opposite extreme.

This precision is the main difference between internal cannabinoids, and what happens if someone introduces external cannabinoids say, through smoking marijuana or chewing CBD gummies that flood their system with cannabinoids.
