If it hasn’t caught your sight so far, you can notice anytime that the esport industry is observing a rapid growth in terms of cash flow and career opportunities. Esport has dramatically transformed over time from just a hobby of gamers to a serious career building field which can, in fact, pay well to the passionate ones. As the clan of sponsors and viewers are getting enlarged, it is resulting in greater prize pools in tournaments each year.

If you just go back 10 years from now, you’ll see that even world-class players couldn’t think of living a high-class lifestyle. But today, when you look at websites like esportsearnings.com, it’s not unlikely that you think of a career shift, as professional gamers these days are able to make some really good cash.

Now the most amazing part of esport is even if you are not a pro in the game you can still reap money from this market in more than one ways. Esports betting sites are popping up and developing rapidly to help careers flourish in this domain. Here are some of the options that might interest you as well –

Hosting Esport games in your own stream

Media channels such as Twitch have become widely adopted by today’s world as a reliable source of income from esports. As there is a palpable increase every day in the demand for watching games, these media channels are enhancing their experience for the audience as well.

So, if you are looking at building and running your own media channel for streaming esports games, there is a bright opportunity waiting for you. The role of a host and commentator on live games played by professional gamers streaming in your own channel shall not only provide a splendid experience to your viewers but also open a big source of income from sponsors.

Shine as a master of Esports

If you are carrying a profound and in-depth knowledge about most of the big esport games, you can start off to work by stepping forward to the next level of it. Not many people are esport connoisseurs or have explored the next level of earning from it; hence there is an ample scope of creating your own space.

You can successfully create a niche as an esport master of the time present and the times to come if you take a motto to learn everything about each significant game, the player and the relevant events.

We see that over the years, the scope and access to esports have increased and the number of esports sites has been steadily going up. These days there are many organizers who offer new and improved opportunities. These opportunities work as a source of profitability and with constant exercising and upgrading of your knowledge; you can eventually find a prosperous way to shine as an investor or a day trader.

Intelligent investment in Esport companies

Do you feel that you are not knowledgeable enough to become a host of esport games, neither do you have the will to become an esport connoisseur? Never to worry or feel let down, as there are other simpler options to build your career in this fast flourishing gaming industry.

You can simply rely on your capital investments for climbing up the stairs of success. You can, however, begin with a small amount and walk upwards step by step. All it requires to grow as an investor in this field is money from your end, and then watch the magic happen on the other end.

Studies and research show that there are a lot of companies which have suffered a loss or have gone through odds in their course of investment in the esport business. Now it requires little prudence on your part as an investor to make the best of such situations, as you can study these companies’ cases and derive insights to take apt decisions to invest in their stocks.

There are courses and degree programs for eCommerce. There are all kinds of online programs for any interest you could possibly have. Is it too much of us to ask for eSports programs at universities? It’s what we love and it’s what we want to learn more.

As it turns out, it’s not too much to ask.

It ll started in 2014, when a League of Legends team was sponsored by a scholarship program at Robert Morris University in Illinois. And from there on, things started moving in the right direction. College eSports became a real thing.

If you love eSports and you’re about to start applying to colleges, you must be wondering: what are the universities with best programs of this type?

Here comes the list that will certainly affect your decision.

Best eSports College Programs
  1. Maryville University of Saint Louis

If you’re after the best college teams in eSports, you should check out the Top 25 College League of Legends Rankings. Maryville’s team earned the second spot on the list. In his statement on the occasion, President Mark Lombardi, PhD. said: “we expect to compete at the highest level of collegiate eSports for years to come.”

You know what that means, right? The university invests a lot in this team, and you can become part of the fun.

  1. Miami University

Miami University started offering partial scholarships for eSports since 2018. With that, this University made a commitment to invest in sport innovations. This school has one of the best ranked digital game studies programs on a national level.

But beware; the name of the university can be misleading. It’s based in Oxford, Ohio. It’s not in Miami, Florida. That’s just a warning in case you were expecting perfect climate.

  1. University of Utah

This university has a top-level eSports program, supported by cognitive and behavioral advisors, wellness and nutrition coaches, and sports psychologist. They finally took eSports to the level of a competitive discipline.

Sure; you’ll spend a lot of time playing eSports if you join this program. But who cares? If you have too much work to do and you’re wondering “who can do my assignment online” – there’s always a solution. You can hire writers and researchers, so you’ll have more time for eSports activities.

  1. Columbia College

Esports is a discipline under Columbia College Athletics. That’s how serious the college is about the program. It holds the third spot in the College League of Legends rankings we mentioned above, but it’s a serious competitor for a higher spot. According to the Coaches Poll, this is the university that ranks first.

You need serious skill and commitment to become a CC Cougar, but you have that in you, right?

  1. Georgia Southern University

The Southern Collegiate Gaming Association was formed in 2012. Since then, it never stopped evolving. Currently, the association supports six eSports teams: League of Legends, Overwatch, Call of Duty, Rocket League, Smite, and CSGO.

If you’re not sure what team you want to join, you can attend the try-outs in the ones that attract you the most. But you have to be great if you want to enter any of them.

  1. Georgia State University

Esports is a program under the Creative Media Industries Institute at Georgia State University. There are six teams to choose from. You can attend workshops, exhibitor’s events, networking events, and more. The admissions are free.

  1. Kansas Wesleyan University

If a college wants to be attractive to modern students, it has to become an eSports college. The competition among educational institutions in this sector is huge. Kansas Wesleyan doesn’t lag behind. The Coyotes were formed in 2015. The team has its own room that the university equipped with advanced gaming amenities and PCs.

  1. Stephens College

There’s an all-women’s varsity collegiate eSports team at Stephens. How cool is that? It shouldn’t be weird for women to be involved in eSports at an equal level with men, right? What century do we live in? To have an all-women’s team is a slap in the face to most other colleges, where the eSports teams are usually men-dominant.

  1. Midland University

Esports is on the level of athletics at Midland University. It’s just the way it should be. So you can get an athletic scholarship if you become part of the team. The president of Midland University, Jody Horner, said: “We find that students who are highly engaged in extracurricular pursuits are more successful academically.”

She gets it. Esports make you more focused, and when you achieve such level of focus, you can translate it to any other activity. Studying included!

What College with eSports Team Should You Attend?

No one can make that decision for you. It depends on many factors, such as location, fees, living standards, campus accommodation, student community, academic programs, and much more. The eSports team is just an addition to the package.

If you narrowed down your list of colleges based on all other factors, the eSports culture can help you make the final pick. Do your research, contact people from the teams, and you’ll easily make the final call.

Almost all colleges started investing in this discipline. They get it very seriously, so they provide state-of-the art computers and gaming equipment for their teams. You’ll be happy to join any of the teams we listed above.

BIO:

If you ask Robert Everett to name the priority in his life, it’s eSports. That’s not shallow; it’s brave. Robert is also a writer and a blogger, who teaches students how to have the most fun at college. You can connect with him on Twitter.

So, it’s 2019 and you’re looking to find a great game out there to occupy your time until it’s time to scream “Happy New Year” again! This list does not include mobile games for real money, but might all become a great addition to the collection of games on your smartphone. In preparation for that need for you to get back on that mobile and begin gaming again, we’ve got a list for you:

Alto’s Odyssey

The sequel to Alto’s Adventure is a beautiful follow-up, featuring a desert to explore. Released in February of 2019, this mobile game was nominated for numerous awards. It is considered a must-play for anyone looking for something fun and fascinating to play.

People are bragging about the surreal landscapes and beauty of this game, so be sure to check it out!

Fallout Shelter

For years the Fallout series has kept fans of the franchise happy and occupied exploring the vast nuclear wasteland of this popular universe. After many years of defeating monsters and navigating dark subways, this mobile game gives you a whole different goal: to build the best shelter you can!

Not only you create your own shelter in this popular sim, but you have to protect it from numerous threats!

Fortnite

Say goodbye to any notion of having extra time for the next year, as this game has proven itself incredibly popular, and yes, it’s available on mobile! Now you can engage in fights to the death with other players, battle zombies for hours, or build your own world.

Fortnite seems to have it all and won numerous awards since its release in 2017. You can see this data which is a huge achievement in a field of gaming.

Horizon Chase – World Tour

Feel the need for speed? This game hit the market in 2015 and has been going strong ever since then. This is a single player game for those who want to have a fun race, without needing intensive, high gloss definition or other players. This is a game harkening back to simpler games of the past, but preserving the fun that came with them.

Into the Dead 2

Run or die. That was pretty well the message you got with the first Into the Dead. You had no choice but to move forward and kill those zombies before they killed you! This Battle-Royale was incredibly popular and has now spawned a sequel that has also been well received by fans.

If you feel the need to take out a zombie or two, this is one of those games that are worth checking out. This sequel is superior to its predecessor with the introduction of a more compelling plot.

Minecraft

Well, where would we all be without Minecraft (besides about twenty pounds lighter)? This world-building game is still unstoppable, although it’s probably not the powerhouse it was when it came out. The truth is, though, you can still build worlds, explore them, fight in them, or watch other people battle away in them!

The original was released in 2011, however, the mobile versions were released years later. This is the one where you can meet friends for life, in addition to getting lost in worlds you, or someone else, has built.

Monster Hunter Stories

The original Monster Hunter was big, really big. This new spin-off follows a considerable more role-playing approach than the other, though. There’s still plenty of combat for those thirsting for that fix, and there are no in-app purchases to make on this one.

Monster Hunter Stories was released in 2018 for mobile platforms and had good reviews.

Pokemon Go

It came out in 2016 and is still going strong, although it did premiere with a few technical glitches. These issues though have been dealt with, and Pokemon Go is free-to-play. This game is addictive and has proven to be so, as it has made a staggering three billion dollars since its release.

If you’re a fan of Pokemon, then give this a try. Even if you’re not, you might want to see what it’s all about!

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – Mobile Version

PUBG for mobile? Yes, it’s true. A hundred of you will land on Erangel Island, but only one of you will return. Well, look at the bright side: those are better odds than what you’ll get playing the lottery! All joking aside, this mobile is a solid instalment in the series and worth taking a look at.

The PUBG for mobile was released in February of 2018 and had some seventy-five million people register to play it before it came out!

Pro Evolution Soccer 2019

This comes from a long series played on the PC and the PlayStation but now is available on mobile. This well-received soccer simulation allows the player to indulge in simulated gameplay to win.

Released in 2018, this game was a hit from the moment it landed!

That’s our list for this year; see you again next year!

There are hundreds to thousands of online games today that range from role-playing games to racing to simple fun games to keep you occupied. Whether you are playing the game for money or for the fun of it, winning is always thrilling.

There are a few steps you can take to ensure that you win at online games. The thrill of winning should be experienced more often whether you are making some cash out of your games or not.

Playing Online games to Win

These days it is possible to make money or win prizes playing games online. Cheers Bingo, for instance, allows you to play online. In addition, you do not have to buy a PlayStation or Xbox in order to be able to play.

As long as you have a PC and an internet connection as well as some experience playing games and winning, you are all set to begin.

Here are a few strategies you can employ in order to win at online games.

Check in When Fewer Players are Online

When playing an online game with rewards, you should play solo. This way, you increase your chances of winning the prize. The main aim for many players is to be up against a few opponents to increase the chance of being declared the winner.

Most players play over the weekends or early morning/late night hours. You can also increase your chances of winning by buying more cards. In addition, you should find out what prizes you stand to win and how you can win them.

The Optimal Strategy

This one is also known as Zermelo’s Theorem. This strategy works when you are playing a game where you can predict moves and positions. This is usually a two-player game where you have a winner and a loser. It calls for some mathematical calculation on your part.

You are advised to begin with a winning position. Then, work backwards from all the known winning positions. This allows you to induce an optimal strategy seeing as you know all the winning positions. You have all the paths to victory covered or at the very least, the draws.

If you are fond of two-player games such as online chess, you could try this strategy out and see if it works for you. It is not guaranteed to work as a winning strategy. It mainly works as an optimal strategy.

This strategy however takes times and a lot of patience on your part as well as your opponent’s.

Be the First to Make a Move

Most strategies only work if you are the first one to make a move. If your opponent plays perfectly, there is not one move you can make that would tilt the odds in your favor. A game such as Hex has a winning strategy for the first player.

In fact, most games that are vulnerable to winning strategies usually, have an assured strategy for the first player. If you can convince your opponent to allow you to play first, then you may be in a position to emerge the winner.

Avoid Distractions

If you are playing to win, then you want to concentrate on your game. You must, therefore, avoid all distractions. When playing online, for instance, it is tempting to have other online such as social media open with the notifications on.

The curiosity to find out what your online community is up to will be at the back of your mind and you will not be able to concentrate. Also, your state of mind matters. If you are going through a stressful time, it is unlikely that you will give your game your best.

Conclusion

While many games may rely on skill, you cannot rule away pure luck and timing from many online games. If the odds are in your favor and you are able to make the first move, for instance, then you may be the winner in certain games. Timing is also important as you may win because there are not many players online when you choose to play.

Becoming a Cyber Sportsman is the new dream of many 21st century gamers. It’s an ultimate way to do what you like, earn real money, and be motivated enough to keep improving your skills. Well, maybe you wanted to be an MLB star, but being a professional Cyber Sportsman with a great salary and well-endowed popularity might count just as equal in today’s world.

CyberSports has been developing very rapidly in the last few years. With various eSports competitions and other leagues being held during the year with a huge level of participation, CyberSports is now a professional platform for young talents. How to earn money with CyberSports and succeed in this new field? It’s actually easier than it seems, with a huge number of sponsors and prize money for the competition winners.

The eSports betting sites are now becoming more profound and really popular. A study conducted by some of these services shows that one has better chances to become a professional Cyber Sportsman than succeed as an athlete and reach the national and international levels.

More on that, you are not supposed to get anywhere by playing PUBG emulator all day long. As that may be seen as some sort of a practice, to become an actual Cyber Sportsman, you need to know how to progress. Many reputed players later told that they started their career by playing Counter-Strike. Nowadays the facts of teamwork and battle-strategy are highly required to become a successful gamer. In some ways, this is quite similar to traditional sports, as practice alone cannot offer you a long and successful career in practically any field.

Supposing you became a well-seasoned player with some experience and skills, you cannot start earning at that particular moment; meaning, you’re not yet a pro Cyber Sportsman. So, what you need the most, is links. Yes, lately the strongest pro gamers with quality skills are from Ukraine, Vietnam, and Russia among others. So, what you can do or should do after getting to know how to play better than most gamers, is to start a team with people you know, or even better, join a proficient team.

Attend gaming competitions, become a well-known player in the local gaming hub. Maybe, at first, you will be called up as a sub in your team, but you’ll be paid. Play well, and that sub might just become the next Tyler “Ninja” Blevins.

Having said that, it isn’t easy, really. But you need to believe in yourself. Play, play, and play. You want to be a Cyber Sportsman, right? So play like it’s your passion. LeBron James wasn’t born a star. Watch videos of popular gamers, study the tricks and tips, and get to know how to become quick and aggressive to compete and overcome most players. This may also help you to discover your hidden talent.

I guess you are a veteran sniper or even an SMG specialist, but you don’t even know it yet; just because your friend told you AKM has a better fire rate and does more damage. Knowing what you’re good at is a really important factor to consider to become a solid player of the sport.

Well, passing the ‘average’ label is, in fact, is the hardest part here. Just like baseball or soccer or any other traditional sport, you need to stand out in the art of gaming. Then again, don’t be afraid to take on new chances after becoming a well-known cyber sportsman in your local gaming community. Always keep an eye for gaming competitions in your surroundings. Travel a bit if required. It’s all a part of a huge gaming adventure that not only turns you into a professional gamer but also develops your personality and creates a new outlook for you. Another study actually says that regular gamers are faster, cleverer, and even more intelligent than an average person. So the answer is obviously YES to the question, whether a career of Cyber Sportsman can become an actual career for one.

Take a second to think about the biggest video games on the planet right now. Chances are, you didn’t get much further than Apex: Legends and Fortnite.

Sure, they might look a little different from one another and they come from completely different developers, but the two are, in fact, virtually identical. Specifically, they’re both based on the formula laid down by PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and they both utilize a business model which has come to dominate video game revenues – Free to Play (FTP). This describes a huge variety of business models with one single unifying factor – that the games are free to play. Initially, at least.

What does Free to Play look like?

Free to Play games come in any number of flavors, from those which hide characters and content behind gates which can only be opened with money (see Paladins: Champions of the Realm) to those which offer the full game free of charge, but encourage players to spend money on customization items (see Fortnite).

Indeed, some games like Star Wars: The Old Republic offered both paid and free versions, with the paid version simply offering all the content at once and doing away with microtransactions. Others still make you pay to speed up the progress of the game (see Clash of Clans).

Originating in Korea in the late 90s, Free to Play games have come to dominate the space. Such has their influence been, the formula has begun to appear in non-traditional gaming spaces where welcome bonuses on casino sites now encourage players to invest their time into online games before they hit the wall. Available for every genre, from Starburst to Book of Ra, Free to Play can truly be considered to cover the tastes of the masses.

But what are the best performing Free to Play games, and is Free to Play truly the future?

What are the Highest Earning Free to Play Games?

According to SuperData, 2018 saw a 458% increase in revenue for Free to Play games compared to 2017, driven largely by Epic Games’ Fornite. In terms of top earners, Epic Games, of course, topped the bill with Fortnite and a huge $2.4 billion, but the runners up weren’t far off: the remaining nine in the top ten earners raked in a combined $9.5 billion and three of those are also owned by Epic Games’ parent company, Tencent.

Are Paid Games at an End?

Free to Play games are seeing huge growth, especially across mobile platforms where the vast majority of players are. However, traditionally priced games are going nowhere for now.

Huge narrative and online experiences like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 moved dozens of millions of copies within just weeks of going on sale at a full retail price around the world. Nintendo, a company whose games rarely sell for anything less than full price at any point in their lifecycle, has sold 13.8 million units of Super Smash Bros: Ultimate since launch in late 2018.

Indeed, rather than replacing paid games, Free to Play games have seemingly opened up new avenues in the market, enticing players who may not be willing to pay a lump sum for an experience which, ultimately, may not be for them.

The real issue for gamers is that the influence of Free to Play games is increasingly being felt in full price, premium gaming experiences. Microtransactions might make sense in a game which hasn’t cost you a penny to play, but when you’ve already invested significantly in a game? Well, that’s harder to stomach.

After decades of research on the benefits of FPS games, more and more people are buying into the idea of shooting games not just as a pass time, but as a Pro sport and a means to a sharper cognition.

The X Rocker Pulse Gaming Chair isn’t the only advanced gaming accessory on the market today, hundreds of FPS games are now breaking ranks and becoming more precise, more intense, and more challenging as the gaming industry continues to evolve.

It is a tall order trying to figure out which games are the most highly rated, this is mostly due to the sheer volume of games that have been released in the last decade alone. There are, however, a list of games that have definitely caused ripples. Let’s take a look at some of them.

COD Advanced Warfare (2014)

Since the first release of the Call of Duty series in 2003, this franchise has done anything but disappoint. After the more advanced brands like Modern Warfare, Black Ops I/II, COD Ghosts came into the light, there was little expectation as to whether the developers would top what was obviously the most superior FPS variety on the market.

This made Advanced Warfare one of the best of its class, both in terms of cutting edge weaponry, and the complexity of the story itself. Since its release in November of 2014, this COD series didn’t set and surpassed the standards set by similar spec games, and it still ranks among the best FPS games today.

Bulletstorm (2011)

Bulletstorm isn’t your garden variety FPS, not because it’s not a great game, but mostly because it doesn’t have quite the same exposure and reach as the COD series. Despite this, however, Bulletstorm boasts some of the most instinctive, fast player movements, an energy leash, great attack combinations, and an action sequence that is a little over the top if you’re not used to it.

You get an extensive armory at your disposal, and you kick your enemies around just for the fun of it. It’s pretty well made, although the script may be a little out there, it is still worth the price on the tag.

Far Cry 4 (2014)

You can’t have a complete list of cool FPS games without at least one game from the Far Cry series. In particular, the focus here would be on Far Cry 4. Released around the same time as COD Advanced Warfare, Far Cry needed to be quite exceptional to compete with an already established franchise, and it didn’t disappoint! The dangling from gyrocopters, riding elephants, and all the cool extras are the little things that make this game stand out. Most people don’t even play it for the shooting, it’s the mix of fun and chaos, and the weird scenarios you have to work yourself out of that make this game so intense!

Doom (2016)

The doom series started off a little rough around the edges in the early ’90s, but the franchise has made some significant improvements since then. With the Doom 2016 all action, thrilling, blood-chilling encounters will leave you grasping at your controller as your life depends on it. With Doom you are thrown right into the action, dashing through hell, taking out just about all the creatures you’ve dreamt about in your wildest dreams, dodging death at every corner. Survival here depends on split-second decision making and raw speed.

Doom is a far cry from its previous, much slower versions, and with its rich sense of cheeky brutality and top-of-the-line graphics, this FPS game offers nothing if not the highest level of entertainment value. Think about it, what pumps your adrenalin more than midair melee attacks, pump action power shotguns, and the thrill of desperately trying to close the portal to hell! This list would not be legit without it!

Bottom Line

There are hundreds of great shooter games out there, it would take weeks to complete this list. But, if you’ve not played any of the above-mentioned games, just know, you’re totally missing out!
