Two days after this is posted, I will be off to visit my family in America. It’s all a big secret so hopefully none of them over there finds this. Being the troublemakers that we are, my mother-in-law and I are building a list of things I need to bring back with me, but I also have a list of

Not adding a picture because I didn't feel like looking at ants today... Our cat, like most, eats his dinner from his bowl on the floor. However, when it comes to his wet food, he’s not particularly clean—we had to get him a back-splash board to keep it off the wall. The problem with this, kitchen garbage cans in general,

Everyone has painted something in their life whether it be activities at school or repainting that old guestroom. However, with any kind of paint comes with a few warnings. Exposure to paint can cause a variety of short- and long-term health effects. Immediately, the paint can cause irritation to the eyes, skin, and respiratory system, and instigate vomiting, diarrhoea, nausea,

Okay, so we drive on the “wrong side of the road” where I’m from, but I have to admit, driving here in Australia feels chaotic. Maybe it’s the super controlled driving regulation or lack of a grid system (which might only be a Utah thing), but I definitely feel like I have to be more on alert here while driving.

No picture today. You want to see stitches, you google that on your own time. I’ve had stitches five times in my life: once for having wisdom teeth pulled, twice for skin moles, and twice for being a reckless child. They are not fun and can be tricky to take care of until they can be removed—except the dissolvable stitches,

It never seems to fail that, when I cook bacon, it pops and I always get burned. That’s probably why I don’t cook bacon very often. It’s actually surprising how often we expose ourselves to the possibility of being burned: ladies doing their hair, being out and enjoying the nice weather, or even anytime a hot meal is involved. Until

A couple weeks ago, my mother-in-law heard her little princess crying in the bedroom. When she went to check on her cat, she found the ragdoll, proud as can be, with her paw on the head of a snake. Sora had brought another gift for her owner, the one in the picture. Luckily, the snake wasn’t deadly and Sora didn’t

The most common injuries to occur at schools are those on the playgrounds. Kids, being kids, run and slide and trip and fall with reckless abandon. They get cuts and scrapes if they’re lucky, but concussions and broken bones if they’re not. This got dark really quickly. Broken bones are uncommon at schools in general but do happen and children

Being American, my family boils eggs every year so we can dye them for Easter. Then the Easter bunny hides them for kids in the morning. As far as I’m aware, nobody does that here, but there are more creatures that would take advantage of left out food here. Also, the weather would probably spoil a couple of eggs really

My husband and I are not the…safest people in the world; we’re pretty accident prone. I think one of the incidents that I mention most is when my husband seriously cut his finger cutting frozen garlic bread. It’s a long story. While the two of us are more likely to be the injured ones, getting cut is very common but
