The best camera is usually the one on your phone! If you’re looking to start a YouTube channel, film IGTV videos, or just upgrade your travel videos, this video shares the best way to create professional quality videos with just your phone.
Lately I’ve been really enjoying vlogging on my phone. Instead of packing my heavy Canon 5D camera, I just use my phone. It shoots stunning 4k videos and the audio is passable! With a few additional accessories like a wide angle lens and mini tripod, this is a game changing rig! I’m obsessed and it’s also super affordable.

I had the chance to host an intimate birthday brunch at Le Marché to celebrate my 27th Birthday! Le Marais Bakery is one of the most instagrammable cafes in San Francisco. The darling French bakery now has a shop that doubles as a venue space! If you’re looking to host a party in San Francisco, keep on reading for my best hostess tips and hacks!
Le Marché is a European-style marketplace showcasing locally and French-made goods. It is also a beautiful venue space perfect for hosting a birthday party, baby shower, or work off-site event (DIY Croissant station or crafting, sign me up)! The space is well-lit and decorated with beautiful barn doors and string lights! Every corner is photo-worthy! It was definitely spacious enough for my party if 8 guests. Book your next event here.
Address: 1144 Sutter Street. San Francisco, CA San Francisco, CA 94109
For the party, I decorated the space with pink and gold foiled balloons and a ‘celebrate’ banner! To add a pop of color to the table, I sprinkled rainbow confetti and flower petals on the table. I purchased my party decor from Paper Source. To elevate the tablescape, bring fresh flowers.
We had a variety of fresh croissants, coffee and water for the guests on the table upon arrival. If you’re enjoying brunch at the cafe, be sure to order the avocado toast, DIY breakfast board, and croque de madame! They can’t be missed! Save room for a slice of moist Pain de Gênes cake! My friend added a little decorative touch to the cake with a few flowers, just for photography purposes.
Be sure to add personalized touches to your party with DIY name cards. I printed the labels and added a tiny wooden clip. Capture the party with a polaroid camera. Shop my party decorations and supplies all in one spot on my Amazon Store here.
Activity :: Rolling your own croissants
After a quick mimosa toast, we moved onto our first activity: rolling and stuffing our own croissants. We learned the best techniques and tips from the in-house bakers. They prepared a variety of freshly made fruit jams, almond cream, chocolate, and other fillings. We even had the chance to stuff some double baked croissants! DELICIOUS! Overall, this was a huge hit with my guests! Always provide an activity for your guests beyond the food, it definitely makes the event more memorable!
After we rolled our croissants, we had the chance to pop in next door into Le Marais for a bakery tour. Boy did it smell delicious! We watched the pastry chefs knead the dough from scratch, bake the chocolate croissants, and prepare the brunch dishes. What a joy to see the magic unfold!
Le Marche takes the guess work out of party favors! The shop is filled with artisanal gifts and decor that your friends and family will love! Plus, we were able to take home the croissants we rolled from the class (can be stored for up to 3 months in the freezer). Special thank you to my friends at Le Marais Bakery for hosting my birthday party! This is a birthday party I will always cherish in my heart!
If you have a special someone in your life, I personally love making a reservation at a new restaurant. Even if you don’t, I love taking the day as a treat yo’ self kind of evening. Take away any guess work and get the Chef’s Tasting Menu at the Botanist in Vancouver BC. This contemporary restaurant is located inside of the Fairmont. I’ll share more of my experience in my next blog post. I’m wearing a red off shoulder dress from ModCloth.
Catch up with your girlfriend over brunch! I love dressing up a plain t-shirt and jeans looks with a fuzzy pink coat. BTW, I found this Audrey Hepburn Vogue Tee in the back of my closet and decided to restyle it. What do you think?
Single-Awareness Day?! Let’s kick that in the butt and have a YOU date! When was the last time you bought your favorite drink (mine is a fruit tea boba) and took a leisurely stroll? Haha obviously not in these heels but you get the idea! A new boba cafe with the most darling wall paper opened up called Cup of Bloom. It’s a great spot to hang out with friends to grab a drink and a bite to eat. Just 20 minutes South of San Francisco is this beautiful park that overlooks the ocean, Seal Point Park. I’ll definitely be back with Bella!
Come thrift store shopping with me for Spring! A personal goal of mine is to practice more sustainable shopping for fashion. An easy way to refresh my closet without hurting the environment is by purchasing from my local thrift / consignment shops. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when going thrift store shopping for the first time!
Create a shopping list!
It is easy to get overwhelmed in a thrift store. Compared to traditional shopping, items may not be as organized or categorized as neatly. Come prepared with a shopping list and look through several racks before finding an item that sparks joy!
Don’t be afraid to DIY
You might come across an item with a tear, missing button, or stain! Don’t worry, nothing a needle and thread can’t fix! If you truly love an item that isn’t your size, use your crafty skillz to fix it up! For instance, this Madewell skirt was only $6, but is one size too big. Luckily, the wrap skirt style is easily adjustable and can be tied tighter around my waist.
Sell Your Clothes to Earn Cash
Some thrift stores allow you to sell your clothes for cash. At Buffalo Exchange, you will receive 30% cash or 50% store credit for the selling price of an item. If you have trendy clothes you no longer love, why not trade it in for a pre-loved item?
