The premium American automotive brand, Cadillac, opened its doors last night to the world’s first Cadillac HOTEL, popping up in Dubai at this year’s edition of SOLE DXB. The official launch party was attended by some of the popular socialites and influencers from across the Middle East.

Open from Thursday 6th – 8th December only, Cadillac HOTEL welcomed hundreds of festival-goers through its doors on its opening night who were treated to bespoke Cadillac themed activations before heading to its rooftop deck to enjoy 180-degree views across the region’s street-culture festival in the fashionable Design District.

The Cadillac HOTEL also staged the brand’s regional unveiling of its first-ever compact SUV, the XT4.This is the fourth year Cadillac have partnered with SOLE DXB, the region’s biggest and popular cultural festival for millennials.

Torjoman, the MENA based translations company, which operates offices in UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, has introduced its latest solution as part of its efforts to fully digitise its services. Customers can now enjoy Torjoman’s complete translation services online, through either its website or newly launched app, to do everything from online ordering, requesting a quotation, tracking progress and making payment, besides more. The move is part of a broader trend of the digitisation of information.

“Taking inspiration from the e-commerce industry, which has made shopping possible at the click of a button, we want to bring the same ease of use and purchase to our translation service. Digital transformation is now touching all industries from retail through to healthcare, and it offers great growth opportunities. Last year we grew our operations by 50%, which in large part is thanks to the cutting-edge technology we are implementing to fully digitise our services,” said Ayman Saad, Marketing Manager, Torjoman.

Much of the company’s growth has come from growing demand in UAE and KSA being driven by government, technology, telecommunications and industrial and manufacturing sectors.

“The current updates we are working on, such as the integration between our online portal and our in-house developed Translation Management System (TMS), means users will also have greater ability to automate their workflow, thereby improving efficiency and consistency. Overall it means a greater level of service for our customer base,” Saad added.

Besides the online ordering platform, Torjoman continues to work on developing various technologies from translation memories (TM), which collates translations into a database to aid translators and reduce errors, and cloud-based translation management systems. Most revolutionary of all, however, is the development of neutral machine translations (NMT), which in the future will see artificial intelligence fully responsible for translations.

The all-new MG6 sedan has officially arrived in the Middle East.Now in its third generation, the new 2019 MG6 model has been upgraded with an array of premium and sporty features whilst delivering performance, efficiency and class-leading comfort.

With quality design features normally found on luxury brands, the MG6 has been given a new ‘Star Rider’ grill, carbon fibre detailing and LED headlamps – inspired by the London Eye – with progressive indicators. A large ‘MG’ badge, chrome touches and a twin-exhaust give the sporty family sedan an aggressive stance, and, completing the bold look, the new MG6 sits on 18-inch alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tyres.

Inside, the sporty theme continues with a cockpit packed with the latest in-car technology. A large 8-inch full-colour touch-screen infotainment system sits in the middle of the dashboard, which can be operated from the multi-function leather steering wheel. Apple CarPlay, push start button, keyless entry, digital dials, six speakers, tyre pressure monitoring system and rear parking camera are all offered as standard.

The cabin – which features 22 practical stowage spaces – is trimmed in a vibrant dual-tone black and red leather upholstery which wraps around the doors and dashboard providing a cossetted feeling.The dual zone air conditioning ensures all occupants in the front and rear cabins are cool and comfortable whilst the 424-litre boot space – extendable to 1170 litres with the rear seats folded –provides ample luggage space.

Powered by a 1.5L petrol engine, the new MG6 is both sporty and economical, offering a swift 0-100 kph in just seven seconds whilst providing a range of 100km in under six litres of fuel. There are fourvdriving modes to cater for all eventualities – Eco, Normal, Sports, and Individual – as well as a class- leading 7-speed dual clutch transmission and five-star CNCAP rating; keeping the whole family travelling in style and safety.
