Announced at E3 2016, Days Gone is a survival-horror action-adventure game developed by SIE Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Its release is scheduled for April 26 after being postponed, and the game will be released exclusively on PS4.

Days Gone will take you to the northwestern United States after a pandemic has turned most people into zombies, which are called Freakers in the game. You play as Deacon St. John, a former outlaw Bounty hunter, who roams the desolate roads on his trusty motorcycle. Deacon is a single rider and prefers to follow his own route rather than take refuge in one of the survivor camps.

In Days Gone, the danger will be waiting for you everywhere with Freaker hordes and wild animals ready to jump at your throat. A new gameplay video was released yesterday on the PlayStation Access Youtube channel and it details a number of pieces of information about the gameplay.

New Days Gone Gameplay - 21 Things You Didn't Know - YouTube

This video serves as a recap just over two weeks before the release, and it’s a good way to see if Days Gone is a title for you. If the atmosphere of the game is largely reminiscent of The Walking Dead series, we notice that the gameplay mixes combat with phases of infiltration, and it seems to leave plenty room for crafting to manufacture various weapons and objects, reminding of The Last of Us in some ways.

Days Gone – Deacon is about to get in trouble…

One of the most interesting points of this video comes at the very end. We learn a little more about the functioning of the hordes. If we already knew that the hordes of Days Gone seem to behave like a single entity, we discover several new things here.

We now know that during the main campaign, we will meet three hordes, but that’s not all. We also know that there will be forty in the whole map, and the number of freakers that compose them will vary between 50 and 500. We also learn that the hordes will not regenerate instantly, which means that if you cross a horde of 200 freakers and kill 100 freakers before you run away, the horde will still include 100 freakers. It is nevertheless specified that some stray freakers may eventually join to a lesser extent.

If the adventure tempts you, Days Gone will be released on April 26 on Playstation 4. To find it at the best price, do not hesitate to visit our comparator.

New gear sets are coming for you – Hard Wired, True Patriot, and Ongoing Directive.

The Division 2 introduced new gear sets for all players to find. The gear sets have unique bonuses and you can only get them when you meet certain requirements. Aside from that, remember that you must be at least a World Tier 4 to be able to access the Tidal Basis Stronghold.

As mentioned above, there are three new gear sets namely:

  • Hard Wired
  • True Patriot
  • Ongoing Directive

You must collect six pieces for each set. To do that, go to the Project tab and click on the missions and activities linked to each set. Let’s start with the first one, the Hard Wired gear set.

The Division 2’s Hard Wired gear set

This gear set is by far the most difficult and the most challenging one to find.

Hard Wired gear set

Upon reaching Tier 5 you will get a new project to complete, the Hard Wired Prototype Project. There are various Hard Wired components and you must complete the series of missions to unlock all of them. You will be looking for six different blueprints in total. You need to find and collect six components and then donate them to the project to get the blueprints.

With the Hard Wired gear set, you can get 20% extra health when wearing two pieces of the set. If you wear three, you will get an additional 20% Increased Shock Duration. Wearing four pieces will get you 20% skill power, and five pieces will give you the Tamper Proof bonus that electrifies your deployed skill like Hive, Pulse Sensor, Turrets so they shock enemies that get too close once every ten seconds. If you have all the six pieces the Feedback Loop bonus will reset your cooldowns and grant you bonus damage and repair to all skills once every fifteen seconds when performing certain actions.

The Division 2’s True Patriot gear set

This is an impressive and the most epic gear set of the three. True Patriot also includes six pieces that you must find and collect.

True Patriot

Wearing two pieces gives you +10% Damage to Armor, three pieces give you +10% Protection from Elites, and wearing four pieces gives you 10% Total Armour. With five pieces, you will get the Red, White, and Blue bonuses. When shotting enemies, you will apply a debuff that cycles through the three colors every four seconds; red decreases the damage from your opponents, white restores armor to friendlies that shoot affected targets, and blue boosts the cooldown reduction of friendlies who shoot affected enemies. If you wear all the six pieces then you will get the Full Flag Bonus, that increases the damage you do to enemies by 25%.

The Division 2’s Ongoing Directive gear set

Ongoing Directive

Finally, the last new gear set from The Division 2 is the Ongoing Directive gear set. When you equip two pieces, you’ll have a 20% increase in Weapon Handling. If you wear three, that’s 25% Burn Damage, and wearing four pieces gives you 25% bleed damage. If you collect all five, you will have the Emergency Requisition bonus that makes you automatically collect every combat resource within forty meters of your position every 30 seconds. If you happen to wear all six pieces of the set, you will unlock The Right Too bonus, that grants you extra special ammo for your unequipped weapons every time you kill an enemy.

Gathering all the new gear sets in The Division 2 is going to be a daunting task for players, so stay focused and work hard for it, the bonuses are really worth it.

Resident Evil 2 remake was launched a while ago, and since its arrival, all the fans of the series have been busy experiencing the new gameplay and unlocking the different modes and rewards. But now, Capcom has decided to release a new DLC for Resident Evil 2 that unlocks all the rewards that you were only able to unlock by playing. It´s quite amazing that we get to see something like that because even if it´s true that some rewards like the endless ammunition weapons need quite a lot of playing time to be unlocked, being able to just buy them kind of takes away the motivation to play the game.

Resident Evil 2 - Launch Trailer (UK) - YouTube

Whether we like it or not, the All In-game Rewards Unlock DLC opens up two extra modes, “The 4th Survivor”, where you play as Umbrella’s operative Hunk, and “The Tofu Survivor”. It also unlocks all bonus weapons with infinite ammunition, including the submachine gun, the minigun, the rocket launcher, and the samurai edge pistol, as well as all of the non-paid costumes, models, and the concept art in Resident Evil 2’s gallery.

Resident Evil 2 – Tofu

Capcom seems to be wanting to squeeze every penny out of Resident Evil 2 remake, and it doesn´t really make any sense, pretty much because of the huge success of the game at launch. It´s probably needless to come up with this kind of DLC that potentially could upset every player that invested a lot of time on unlocking those rewards, but if you are one of those that don´t have the patience or the time to unlock those playing the game you can now find the All In-game Rewards Unlock DLC on Steam, PlayStation Store and Microsoft store just for a very little fee.

That’s some sharp fans you’ve got there.

Fan-wielding Princess, Kitana confirmed for Mortal Kombat 11

NetherRealm Studios confirmed a new playable character for Mortal Kombat 11 in the person of Kitana. Kitana made her Mortal Kombat debut in its second installment back in 1993 and players fawn over her steel fans. She died but was then revived by the end of 2011’s Mortal Kombat as a Revenant and one of Quan Chi’s minions in Mortal Kombat X. In this installment, Kitana is now the co-ruler of the Netherealm with Liu Kang.

The minute-long trailer shows a cinematic battle between Kitana, the fan-wielding princess, and Scorpion. The TV spot is visually stunning and choreographed well and the transition from live actors to characters is impressively executed. The trailer explains that we are all warriors who are ready to stand and fight for the things we believe in when the right time comes. May it be justice, power, glory, or vengeance – we will fight no matter what. It then ends with Shao Kahn sitting in his throne.

Watch the TV spot below:

Mortal Kombat™ 11 TV Spot - YouTube

The Tv spot didn’t doesn´t include any actual gameplay from the returning character so we can expect a proper trailer on Kitana’s skills later this week. This addition isn’t much of a surprise since we’ve already seen the princess of Edenia in Mortal Kombat 11’s story mode footages but she was only in the cut-scenes.

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios are getting ready for the launch of Mortal Kombat 11. This is evident if you consider the fast pace in which they are unveiling the remaining playable characters. Not long ago, they revealed two original newcomers – Shao Kahn’s right-hand man only known as The Kollector, and Elder God Cetrion, and now, we have the returning character, Kitana.

Mortal Kombat 11 is coming on April 23rd, 2019 on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.

Developed by Booming Games, Conqueror’s Blade is a free-to-play medieval and tactical MMO that is coming soon. If no specific release date is known, the wait should not be long, because according to the game page in Steam the game release would be scheduled for May 2019.

Conqueror’s Blade offers a realistic approach to large-scale battles and allows you to embody, not a simple soldier, but a Warlord. You start the adventure by creating your character. Besides the visual customization of your avatar, you will have to choose your faction, or rather your culture. You can embody an Asian, European or Oriental warrior. Others should be added later, including the Vikings. The choice of your culture will have an impact not only on your character, but also on the visual aspect of your units, your territory, and your castle. In terms of specialization, Conqueror’s Blade chooses a different approach from most MMOs. Rather than choosing a class, you will choose a weapons specialization. Going through the ax, the musket or the bow, ten classes of weapons are available in total, and you can then specialize in up to six different classes.

Conqueror’s Blade – Musket Weapon Class

In terms of gameplay Conqueror’s Blade offers a variety of things to do. You will be able to take part in PvP battles for up to fifteen against fifteen players, but also experience PvE with the fortress. You can also gather resources to make equipment, either by finding them in the world around you or by attacking other players. The game has a neutral zone in which you can improve your character via the talent tree while in peace. When you leave this area, danger will be present at each crossing. You can also create alliances with other players to defeat your enemies.

Conqueror's Blade: Spring Mayhem trailer - YouTube

If all this has made your mouth water, you should know that you can try for free Conqueror’s Blade from April 12 at 16h (Paris time) until April 15 at 10 am. If the game is intended to be free to play, it is, however, possible to buy founding packs that allow you to benefit from various bonuses. Anyone who has pre-ordered one of these packs will be able to access the private beta called Chaos Printanier from April 15 to 20, which introduces a number of novelties in the game. To know all the details of the open house weekend and the Chaos Printanier event, visit the official Conqueror’s Blade website.

FTC will hold a public workshop on loot boxes this summer.

Unites States FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has already set an official date for their promised investigation on loot boxes and to discuss the issues pertaining to loot boxes in video games.

The investigation will be made in a form of a public workshop and it’s scheduled to happen on August 7th, 2019 at the Constitution Center, 400 7th St., Washington, DC. It is free of charge and everyone is welcome to join and watch it streamed live on their website. Speakers invited to the upcoming workshop are yet to be unveiled but attendees are expected to come from various industries, including a few consumer advocates, trade associates, professionals from the academe, and even government officials.

Investigation on loot boxes through a public workshop is set for August 7th

Aside from the date, the title of the workshop has also been released, “Inside the Game: Unlocking the Consumer Issues Surrounding Loot Boxes.” From the title itself, it’s safe to assume that the main purpose of said event is to look deeper on the issues regarding loot boxes, including its origin and how they evolved to their current state, the researches that have been done related to their impact to children’s behaviors, and the ways of protecting and spreading awareness to the consumers.

The workshop will also discuss in depth the in-game transaction landscape and the marketing mechanics pertaining to loot boxes.

What are the loot boxes?

Sample loot boxes

Simply put, loot boxes are in-game rewards that have random virtual items to assist the players in advancing in an online game. There are also items to help players change their avatars. These loot boxes are bought using a virtual currency which they can earn in the game or they can also purchase them using their own real money. This method of selling and buying of virtual items produces a huge amount of revenue for game developers, however, there are issues being raised on the techniques used to market and promote loot boxes. Some are also concerned about them being a form of gambling that can lead teens to get addicted to these in-game purchases for the sake of advancing to the next level.

FTC looks to improve the workshop, so if you have any suggestions do drop them online at lootboxworkshop@ftc.gov or via written letter. They are open for suggestions until June 7th and for written letters until October 11th.

Last week Ubisoft made public the system requirements needed to play Anno 1800 on PC, and if you managed to cover those you can be more than happy because they have announced the starting date for an Open Beta that will let you try the upcoming installment in the Anno series.

ANNO 1800 OPEN BETA TRAILER - YouTube

Starting on Friday 12th and through the whole weekend, you will experience all that Anno 1800 simulation has to offer, immersing yourself in one of the most exciting eras in history. During the Open Beta, you will be able to play the first episode of the single-player campaign, but once you are done with that, you can jump to multiplayer mode. As in the previous closed beta event, the game progress will be capped at tier 3 and any kind of progress that you manage to achieve during the beta period will be deleted after the event; so if you decide to buy the game and play it after launch, you will have to start from scratch again.

Developer Blue Byte has made a great work representing the situation in the 19th century, an age of discoveries and changes, mainly defined by the beginning of industrialization, that will forge that humankind will take in the years to come. What you will be playing during the beta will not be the final version, but it´s pretty close to what the game will be at launch. Also, there is no NDA in place for this beta, so you will be able to stream your gameplay and reveal anything about the game if you want to do so.

Anno 1800 – Industrialization brings some new social problems too

To play the open beta all you have to do is downloading Anno 1800’s Open Beta client via Uplay or the Epic Games launcher. You can pre-download it starting April 10th to start playing next Friday. And if you want to buy Anno 1800 at the best price, all you have to do is pay a visit to our comparator anytime.

Ubisoft had announced it before the release of the game: The Division 2 is designed to last.

The studio had said that content would be added regularly for at least a year after the release of the game. Well, it’s being done, since a major free update arrives today, Invasion: The Battle for D.C. We talked about it in a previous article, but the content was more detailed, through a video, which explains the progress of operations.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2: Year 1 Update - Invasion: Battle for D.C. | Ubisoft [NA] - YouTube

The introduction of Invasion: The Battle for D.C. will be done through three updates:

April 5th

The first comes today with the addition of Tidal Basin, a new fortress defended by the Black Tusks. It is described as “the most dangerous and heavily armed” in the game. Finishing Tidal Basin will allow you to progress in Tier 5 and unlock equipment up to level 500. Two new exotic weapons are also introduced: Pestilence, a light machine gun, and Nemesis, a sniper rifle; as well as three new sets of equipment: Hard Wired, Ongoing Directive and True Patriot, with bonuses of their own. A new event called “Ready to Wear” will also allow you to win cosmetic items such as outfits and skins for your weapons. Finally, a new PvP map, Fort McNair, will be available too.

The Division 2 – Tidal Basin

April 25

This second update will introduce Operation Dark Hours, an 8-player raid in which you will have to take control of the city. To achieve this, you will need to show coordination and team spirit. Players with Year 1 Pass, included in Gold and Ultimate editions of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, will also have access to the first Classified Assignments, in which they will discover the reasons for their coming to Washington DC, and will be able to win exclusive items to personalize their agents.

Shortly after

Finally, the fourth specialization along with its associated weapon will be the latest addition to this Invasion: The Battle for D.C. update. For Year 1 Pass holders, it will be unlocked upon release, the date of which is still unknown. For other players, they will need to unlock it in game.

The first open-world space in Warframe gets an update.

Plains of Eidolon originally launched in 2017 and since then, Warframe has grown so much both in size and in their endeavors. This is evident in their venture of giving Plains of Eidolon a long-awaited overhaul – new visuals, new enemies, and more diversions. The team also released a trailer in relation to the changes.

Based on the press release, the visual overhaul enhances all the graphical aspects of Plains of Eidolon. Advanced lighting techniques are used to bring brilliant lighting and shadow changes in the day and night cycle. They also added crisp to the images and more details to the foliage and the earthen landscape.

Redesigned plains in Plains of Eidolon

Aside from that, there are also changes done to the gameplay of the game. There are now new terrains to accommodate the K-Drive hovers where players can jump off and grind on. However, those terrains are filled with Tusk Thumpers, enemies that can smash anything in their way as they leap across the plains. Extra caution should be taken. In this update, Tenno is now able to earn new badges for hunting and preserving new animals on the plain. If you don´t get the badge then you can get the cute Floofs instead.  This option is only available for Fortuna though.

If you are an adrenaline junkie, then the new type of Grinner is perfect for you as it causes more problems and they don’t seem to have any weakness. They come in three varieties – the regular vanilla, the Doma, and the Bull. In order to defeat them, you must be fast on your feet and quick to figure out what their weak spot is. Strike them with precision to ensure total victory. The award? Thumper Floofs! It’s the toy overflow of the decade.

To sum all that up: the novelties coming to Plains of Eidolon in Warframe are the overhauled stunning visuals and the added terrains. Check out the trailer below and see the improvements for yourself.
