The next  club event is at Knightshayes (National Trust) and is a 3 person relay event -or you can take part in an individual score event.

Please do what you can to support this event; a handicap system is in place for the relay and when combined with the need for individual team strategy means that it is for any one team to win!  If you are interested in taking part in a team either:

- Find two other club members (or potential club members) to join you and contact Tom McMurtrie on  t.mcmurtrie@btinternet.com by 12th June

- Contact Ruth Chesters, Club Captain on rmchesters@gmail.com

- Turn up on the day and get together a scratch team (but there is limited entry on the day)

Latest details are on the website: events

For details about the range of courses, and how maps may be obtained, see: Haldon Permanent Orienteering Course

It is with great sadness that we heard that Sue Gard passed away on Maundy Thursday after a short illness. Sue was a keen orienteer, and had been an active member of Devon Orienteering Club in the 1980s and 1990s. She actively supported Junior orienteering, and supported the South West squad at National Events. More recently she had moved to Somerset and continued to run with Quantocks Orienteers.  Sue was very gently spoken, and always enjoyed a chat before or after a run.  She was often accompanied by her collie.

We do not yet know when Sue's funeral will be held, but if you would like details, please contact me by email. Our thoughts are with Bill and the family at this sad time.
