When I first heard that Erdem was collaborating with NARS, I was beyond excited. Erdem’s fashion pieces are dreamy and romantic, and I was hoping he’d bring his love of floral to this collection. WOW, Erdem and NARS did not disappoint! I always love NARS’ collaborations, and this is one of my faves.
The Erdem for NARS Strange Flowers Collection is a 13-piece limited edition collection, that will no doubt sell out very quickly. The colors are bold yet timeless, with a mix of demure and daring shades for eyes, lips and cheeks. The 3 floral designs on the front of the palettes are original floral prints created by Erdem specifically for this collaboration.
Here are all the details of the pieces from the collection, which launched on May 3:
Eyeshadow Palettes x 2
The collection has 2 stunning eyeshadow palettes of highly pigmented, velvety-matte shades that deliver longwearing, crease-resistant color. The top-right palette is called Night Garden, and the bottom left palette is Fleur Fatale.
Lip Powder Palette
This Erdem for NARS Poison Rose Lip Powder Palette is so cool and innovative! The color on the left is a creamy primer and the 4 matte and metallic powders on the right can be layered with or without the balm. It also comes with a travel lip brush.
Lipsticks x 6
These beautiful Erdem for NARS Lipsticks include 6 new shades, featuring a creamy, smooth formula that range from bare to bold, sheer to intense. The shades are (clockwise): Moon Orchid (sheer light pink), Voodoo Lily (sheer muted lavender), Carnal Carnation (sheer raspberry red), Wild Flower (deep plum purple), Larkspur (sheer orchid), and BloodFlower (bright cherry red).
Blushes x 2
These beautiful Erdem for NARS blushes come in 2 of the prettiest shades ever: Loves Me (strawberry pink with golden shimmer), and Loves Me Not (soft lavender pink). They have a silky-soft pearlescent finish that is sheer yet buildable.
Blotting Paper and Highlighting Pencil
I have oily skin, and never leave the house without blotting papers. I am so excited to pop these stunning Erdem for NARS Blotting Papers in my purse! I’m also really loving the multi-use Highlighting Pencil in White Phox (opalescent lavender). It can be used on your eyes and cheeks, and is ultra-smooth and easily blendable.
I hope you love these pieces as much as I do! This collaboration is super limited edition. Once it sells out, it won’t be restocked. Run, don’t walk! Which pieces are you running to buy??
Please note, this post was NOT sponsored. I received these items as a press send, and loved them so much that I wanted to share them with you. Thanks!
I’ve been hard-core beauty obsessed for about the last year. I work in the beauty industry, so I spend a lot of my time talking to beauty lovers. I also get to sample a ton of beauty products, thanks to this blog, so I really have beauty on the brain 24/7.
I find that once a friend, influencer or co-worker recommends a product that they absolutely love, I’m much more likely to try that product. I get a lot of questions about which products are my favourites, so I decided to start sharing more of the new (and old!) products that are my number one faves.
Today, I’m sharing 4 products/collections, that recently launched this Summer, that I absolutely love. I would highly recommend all of these amazing new products. Here we go!
1. LANCÔME MONSIEUR BIG MASCARA
I’m always on the hunt for the latest and greatest mascara. I have way too many for one person, but I just can’t stop buying them! I was super excited to try this newest mascara from Lancôme, Monsieur Big. The claim is that it’s a high-volume mascara that delivers bold lash volume for up to 24 hours, and let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint. The mascara added tons of volume to my thin lashes, and kept them separated. It didn’t clump, like a lot of other mascaras, and it lasted almost the entire day without transferring to the skin under my eye. That might not sound impressive, but most other mascaras transfer on me after only a couple of hours since I have very oily eyelids. Overall, I love this mascara, and it’s definitely one I will buy again in the future.
2. NARS ORGASM LIQUID BLUSH & LIPSTICK
I’m embarrassed to say that this is the first time I’ve ever tried the Orgasm blush from NARS. I know, I know, you’re probably asking how I can call my self “beauty-obsessed” when I’ve never tried this cult-favorite. Well, I honestly don’t know why I hadn’t tried it in the past, but I’m so glad I finally picked up this beauty. It’s a gorgeous peachy-pink hue with a golden shimmer, that is universally flattering on all skin-tones, hence why it’s a best-seller. NARS recently launched a liquid version, which is very pigmented yet blendable. It add a soft pink glow to my skin, which looks very natural. Overall, I’m more of a powder blush kind of girl, but if you love liquid blushes, then I think you’ll love this one!
The Orgasm Lipstick is a satin, creamy lipstick in the iconic Orgasm shade that has a rich, radiant color for a polished look. It has a soft shimmer, but it’s not overly frosty. It’s a beautiful shade, especially for summer.
3. KENZO WORLD EAU DE PARFUM
It was love at first sight (and scent) with the newest fragrance from fashion house, Kenzo. I’m a sucker for awesome packaging, and the eye shape of Kenzo World is just so cool! My fingers were crossed that I would love the scent just as much as the packaging, and wow, I absolutely love the smell! It combines peony, jasmine and ambroxan crystals to create a playful, floral scent that lasts for hours on my skin.
4. BARE MINERALS STATEMENT LIP COLLECTIONS
Bare Minerals recently launched 3 coordinated collections of lippies: Statement Matte Liquid Lip Colours (10 shades); Statement Luxe Shine Lipsticks (10 shades); and Statement Under Over Lip Liners(5 shades). My lips are very dry. When I say very dry, I mean super dry. I’ve pretty much accepted the fact that I can’t wear matte lipsticks because they dry out my lips instantly. So you can understand my shock when I tried on the Bare Minerals Statement Matte Liquid Lip and it didn’t immediately suck all the moisture from my lips! It is still very much a matte lip, but I didn’t find it to be nearly as drying as every other matte lip I’ve tried. The colour lasted for hours. It did eventually dry out my lips as well, but right now, this is the only matte lip colour that I can wear. The shade range is really beautiful too.
They also launched a collection of 10 statement-making lipsticks in bold, full-coverage colours and 5 statement-making, creamy and blendable lip liners. I always, I repeat, ALWAYS wear a lip liner with my lip colour. It’s the only way to ensure my lip color doesn’t melt/fade/wipe off immediately. I love the creamy texture of these lip liners, and they are perfect under these creamy, light-weight lipsticks. Overall, these are gorgeous lip collections from Bare Minerals, that I will continue to use regularly.
This post is NOT sponsored. I received the Bare Minerals, Kenzo perfume and Lancome mascara as press samples, however, I was not required to post. I loved these products so much that I wanted to share them with you all!
Surprisingly, I’m not usually attracted to the color red. I have a lot of red in my skin tone, so I usually stay far, far away from the colour, as it brings out the redness in my skin. But, this dress just spoke to me! I ventured out of my comfort zone, and I’m happy I did! I’ve showcased a few other red & white striped dresses below that I’m really loving as well.
Take note for all you other shorties…I had this dress hemmed by 4 or 5 inches. I’m 5’2″ for reference. The dress looked good at it’s full length, however, I felt that because of the more casual feel to the fabric and print, it was a little more versatile at a slightly shorter length on me. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!! Hope you all have a wonderful week!
It’s been almost a year since we started redecorating our condo, and WOW, I did not expect it to take this long! But I’m so excited to say that we are almost done! I first shared our living room decor last December, and I’ve since made a lot of changes and new additions to the space. I still have a few things to do, like style our bar cart (not shown here, but I’ll share soon). I’m also still wanting to make a few changes to some things in these photos, like the styling of the cabinet and a few photos on the gallery wall, but I think I’ll always be making tiny changes and adding cute new decor items to the room.
The one item that I’m, by far, most excited about is our new brass chandelier from Lucent Lightshop. I first discovered this stunning shop on Etsy about 2 years ago, and immediately fell in love with their sputnik light fixtures. I was completely obsessed with their fixtures, and when I saw the Vortice Chandelier about a year ago, I knew that I needed to own this beauty. Since we rent our condo, I hesitated to purchase light fixtures, as these feel more permanent. However, I couldn’t stop thinking about this chandelier, and I knew it would completely change our space. I will definitely take this light fixture with me once we eventually buy our own condo, as I know this will look amazing in any room in the future.
Seriously, this chandelier makes me smile every single day. I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s truly a beauty, and so well made. I highly recommend Lucent Lightshop for gorgeous and affordable lighting fixtures!
I also added a ton of decor objects, vases, candles and new pillows to the space. If you can’t tell, I LOVE color, and kept everything bright and colorful. I also changed every photo on the gallery wall, except for one (a photo from our wedding). I bought my first Slim Aarons photograph (one of my 2 favorite photographers), and added 2 Gray Malin prints (the second of my 2 favorite photographers) to the picture ledges. I also switched all of the black and gold picture frames to all white. The photos are already colorful on their own, and I feel the white frames look cleaner. I love how the gallery wall turned out!
You may have seen on my Instagram last week that I co-hosted a “Tablescapes” Spring DIY Workshop, featuring the CANVAS outdoor dining collection from Canadian Tire. I had sooo much fun that I wanted to share a little recap of the event for those of you who couldn’t attend. My co-host was the talented Tracy Platt, Canadian Tire’s resident style expert. Her and her team designed every piece of the CANVAS indoor and outdoor collection, and I must say, WOW, what an amazing job they did!
The “Tablescapes” Spring DIY Workshop had a great turnout! Attendees received some Al Fresco Table Setting Tips from Tracy and myself, they worked together to create some fun tablescapes of their own, and got to check out the CANVAS Collection showroom, showcasing all of the indoor and outdoor pieces from the Spring lineup.
Workshop attendees getting creative!

The Canadian Tire CANVAS Collection showroom is pretty spectacular, and has amazing indoor and outdoor home decor around every corner.
I had such an amazing time at this event, and am so thankful that I had this opportunity. A huge thank you to Canadian Tire for partnering with me for this workshop and this blog post. My outdoor dining game has definitely been taken up a notch!
Hi Everyone! Long time no see! Wow, it’s been so long since I posted an outfit! It’s seems like just last month, but it’s actually been almost 5! Time seriously flies. There have been a number of reasons why I haven’t posted in a while. Straight up busyness tops the list why, but there have been a few other reasons that I’m sure I’ll share soon enough.
For my first post back, I went with this floral dress I just picked up. Can you believe it’s only $12! Yes, you read that right…$12! CRAZY, I know! The material is surprisingly heavy, and very stretchy. And for only $12, you really can’t go wrong.
Black & gold…..such a striking, classic combo that I’ve had a long time obsession with. It feels elegant, sophisticated and chic. Two black & gold items in my wardrobe that I’ve recently picked up are these fab sunglasses and this sparkly top/skirt combo.
I can’t stop wearing these Tom Ford ‘Fany’ sunglasses from IRIS the Visual Group. They have a retro vibe that seems to add a coolness factor to everything I wear. I go through phases with my eyewear brand choices, and right now I can’t stop buying Tom Ford. I’ve recently picked up several pairs of Tom Ford sunglasses and eyeglasses from IRIS, as they have such a great selection.
Side note…speaking of eyeglasses…over the last few years, I’ve been noticing that my vision has been getting worse and worse. I’ve recently started wearing my eyeglasses more often, and my eye health has become a major focus for me. I’m super excited to partner with IRIS the Visual Group for 2017 to share the importance of eye health. Stay tuned for more to come!
Now, back to the black & gold convo…as for this stunning Olivia Palermo + Chelsea28 sparkly blouse and skirt, I was at the Nordstrom Yorkdale grand opening a couple months back, and saw this outfit on a mannequin. I feel immediately in love, and decided that I would go back the following week to try it on. Not even 5 minutes later, I saw another guest at the party wearing the exact same outfit! It looked stunning on her, and at that moment, I knew I needed to own this outfit. I love that they are separates instead of a dress, because i can split them up to create different outfits as well. Both of these pieces are keeping my black & gold love going strong.
Thank you to IRIS the Visual Group for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
I’m going to toot my own horn for a minute, and say that I’m actually a really good gift wrapper. I absolutely L-O-V-E wrapping presents, and have loved it for as long as I can remember. When I was in high school, I remember people always asking me to help them wrap presents when I was at their houses. My loved ones also always say that they look forward to my gift wrapping as much as they look forward to the actual present. So, when Seal-It reached out and asked if I wanted to get holiday crafty with their fabulous glitter tape, my first instinct was that it was the perfect item to get creative (and sparkly!) with to wrap my holiday gifts!
Supplies for this DIY are super simple to put together. The Seal-It Glitter Tape can be purchased online at SealItGlitterStore.ca, or at Shopper Drug Mart (in Canada), and I picked up all of the other holiday supplies at the dollar store! Cute little accents (such as bells, ornaments, faux greenery, garland, berries), ribbon, twine and candy canes can be added to the gifts for that extra wow factor.
I made the adorable gift tags by layering rows of Seal-It glitter tape on card stock, then cutting out the desired shapes. I used the same technique to create the letter ‘J’ on the gift tag below.
To create the bow above, I took 2 strips of glitter tape and placed them sticky side to sticky side. Then I created an ‘O’ shape with the strip, pinched it in the middle to create the bow shape, then put a piece of tape around the middle. Super easy and cute!
I LOVE the Seal-It Glitter Tape because the glitter never flakes off, and it can actually be torn with your hands…no scissors required! It can also be stuck to a number of different surfaces, but it’s not a heavy duty tape, so it can easily be removed. It’s perfect for crafts and DIY’s!
