Just like pretty much every crafter on the planet, I have a stash of scraps which I keep because 'they may come handy one day'. Call me a hoarder but most of the elements of today's card were made from scraps from other projects :) I guess they call it SCRAPbooking for a reason!
I had some larger leftover white glitter and red sheets of paper which I have used to create the base and the top layer of the card, I cut out a heart in the middle with basic heart cutting dies and the inside heart has joined my leftovers stash and will undoubtedly be used in future projects.
I punched out the little hearts from the leftover cardstock. The colours I used are both glitter (white, sliver, black, red and green) and basic colours ( grey and red) cardstock. I glued the hearts to resemble a shaker style card and added a few sparkly heart gems.
I attached checked grey ribbon with doublesided tape to form the base for my sentiment. I stamped my sentiment onto another leftover piece of basic grey paper and used WOW! Clear Embossing Ink (Ultra Slow Drying) and white WOW! embossing powder to finish it off.
I cut out the sentiment with basic banner dies and attached it with 2mm black ribbon. I finished my card off with a few black enamel drops. which I placed in the corners.
Our New Year's resolution is to add a little sparkle wherever we go... and to bring you more products, brands and shop features. What's more, we'd like to share with you ideas and tips for how to use our products. Today, we made this simple card featuring a brand we have added to our shop a few days ago.
I was making this card thinking of my friend who will soon start a new job and instead of a 'good luck' card I thought this would be a cheeky alternative.
I have used rubber stamps from Stamping Bella's Oddball collection - Sparkle Fairy which is stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press Blending Card with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the stamp with Copic Ciao markrers and cut it out with stitch effect rectangle cutting dies. I assembled the elements with doublesided tape and popped my sentiment on top with self adhesive foam squares. To finish it off I added a few yellow enamel dots and voilà!
