"To understand the colours that are present within a person's aura, is to understand the very nature of their soul: its core qualities, its potentialities and its essence." - Andy Byng
Colour is an often-overlooked aspect of mediumistic and psychic communication, and yet the colours that we are becoming aware of provide a unique insight into the qualities and nature of a person’s soul.
The colours that we become aware of within a person’s aura denote the particular qualities that are present within their soul. As these qualities originate from that universal power which is the source of all life and is thus present within everybody, the general meaning of each colour is the same in each of us.
To understand an individual’s soul we not only have to sense if the colour is in its negative or positive aspect, but we also have to understand, through our intuition, how the different colours present within a person’s soul interact with each other. By understanding the nature of, and the relationship between, each colour, we are then able to accurately recount the life story of an individual’s soul from the moment of their birth to the present day.
In essence, through working with colour, the psychic is able to provide people with a unique insight into the nature of their soul. This puts the psychic in a privileged position, as they are able to offer guidance that encourages clients to realise their potential and to express themselves in the most natural way possible, which leads to a richer, and more meaningful, life.
During the course of this online seminar, Andy will cover the basic elements of colour. You will understand the general meaning of each colour, and the fundamentals of assessing how the different colours within an individual’s soul are interacting with each other.
Each session will last for two-hours, and will consist of a talk, an exercise, and a question and answer session. The time of each session will be 7 - 9 PM (UK Time). Each session will be recorded, so every talk and Question and Answer Session can be viewed after the session. For those who can't make the session, you will be able to arrange to practise the exercise in your own time via the dedicated Facebook group.
Dates (all in 2018): 2nd May 22nd May 9th June 19th June Cost: £149
What an eventful first week back after the Christmas break.
Firstly, a massive thank you to Su Wood, Paul Jacobs and all of the students on A New Year, A New You, for making my first seminar of 2018 so memorable. It was fantastic to work with students on their personal development, and to see them grow and have their breakthroughs.
After the college I went to Charminster to take a closed progressive group there. A huge thank you to Dominique Williams and Rosie Curtis for all their hard work organising the progressive group, to Jackie Gunningham and the committee at Charminster Spiritualist Church, and to the students for being so great. I even managed to sneak a cheeky fishing session in with Roy before I went home. Really looking forward to returning in the summer.
I am at home now for a few days before I head up to Scarborough to teach on Tony Stockwell's seminar at Cober Hill. There are still a couple of places left is you are interested in joining the course. Full details can be found here
A NEW YEAR A NEW YOU - ARTHUR FINDLAY COLLEGE JANUARY 21-24TH 2018
We are coming to that time a year again where we begin to look ahead into the New Year, and begin to stake stock of the year we have just had. It's a time of setting new goals, assessing which aspects of our self and our life are making us happy, and which aspects we need to change and develop further. Perhaps this is why December can feel the loneliest time of the year, as we naturally seek solitude to begin to reflect upon and make decision for ourselves.
In January, I will be organising an exciting four-day course at the Arthur Findlay College, entitled A New Year, A New You. The process of self-development is essential for your mediumistic and personal unfoldment. Discovering for yourself the qualities and potentials of your soul will help you to build confidence and give you direction in your life, as it enables you to find an expression that is in harmony with what your soul is yearning for. Furthermore, by reflecting, understanding, and articulating the experiences that you have gone through, and the emotions that you feel, you can aid the process of self-healing, which inevitably leads to a deeper and richer mediumistic expression.
The great mediums of the past and present all spiritualised their mediumship: to understand and express the emotions of another soul, they first understood and expressed their own. Become a part of that tradition: understand your soul first, and become more comfortable in your own skin and expression, which will pave the way for a deeper and richer relationship with the spirit world.
Every student will focus on the subject of self-development through the daily meditation, short-talk and tutorial. However, you can choose your group, which will determine what you will focus on during the group sessions.
One group will be focused on personal development. This group is not just suitable for mediums, it is ideal for anybody who is seeking to lead a life that is more in harmony with their soul’s expression, and who are open to the process of self-discovery, self-reflection and self-healing. It is ideal for those who want to be more comfortable in their own skin, and want to find the most natural expression of their soul so that they can enhance every aspect of their life.In a safe and encouraging environment, through practical exercises, talks and discussion groups, your tutor will provide you with the tools that can aide your journey of self-discovery. Your tutor will encourage you to experience the reality of your own soul, to help you to discover its purpose, and to help you set attainable goals to work towards during the year. As the soul communicates with your conscious mind through the emotions, we will also help you to understand and articulate those emotions so that you can better understand yourself.
The second group will focus on teaching you how to give Spiritual Assessments to other people. The role of the medium, in the private sitting situation, is to encourage personal development and growth in others. The Spiritual Assessment group will be dedicated to developing your ability to deliver spiritual assessments properly to other people through psychic and mediumistic exercises. You will explore the following:
Identify the need(s) of your sitter
Identifying and understanding the spiritual qualities and potentials of your sitter, through both practical and emotional evidence.
How to work with clairvoyant pictures to deepen your evidence, and to give you practical information pertaining to your recipient’s personal circumstances.
The spirit world’s role during the Spiritual Assessment
Colour and the Aura
Every student, over the duration of the course, will be taught different aspects of self-development, through the daily meditation, short-talk and tutorial. If you know, or feel, you need to focus on yourself then a personal development group is right for you. If you have already done a lot of work on yourself, and now feel that you are in the right place to focus on inspiring others with their own personal development, then the spiritual assessment group will be ideal.Whatever group you decide on, please let us know on booking the course. This intensive course will provide you with the opportunity for self-discovery. Grasp it with both hands, and let the New Year, and our team of tutors, inspire you to develop a New You.

What is the Meaning of my life? - Click Here Me, Myself and I - Click Here
It seems like a very long time since I have been home: I left on 22nd August and I am still in Canada. I've been in Calgary for the last 7 days staying with a very dear friend of mine Sylvia Peters, who is like a second grandmother to me (she will hate me saying that she is still 29 in her mind), before I begin my final seminar in Banff tomorrow.
Looking back it has been such a great trip: I've met a lot of different people, been to lots of different states, worked with lots of different students and demonstrated my mediumship in a lot of fun places; I even found some time to play blackjack for the first time in Las Vegas.
Working for long intense periods with your mediumship opens you up to new experiences, both as a human being and as a medium. I genuinely cherish every day that I am able to work with the spirit world, but it is equally as rewarding to meet and play a small part in people's spiritual development. I would like to take the opportunity to thank everybody for attending the seminars and demonstrations over the last 6 weeks. It really has been a pleasure.
Before getting to Calgary I flew from LA to Toronto to spend a week a the Spiritualist Society of Burlington. What a fantastic centre for spiritualism. I met some wonderful people, ad managed to spend the day at Niagara falls. I have always felt re-energised by the water, but there is something
very special about these falls. There have been a few times I have felt in awe of nature - in the Pyrennes mountains when I was walking across Spain on the Camino d'Santiago, at Maya Bay in Thailand, and here at Niagara Falls. These moments make you realise that you are merely a small cog in a very big plan; that there is something greater than you as an individual, which you are wholly a part of. My hosts at Burlington, Jackie and Mark, were amazing people: intelligent, witty, and extremely interesting people, it was a pleasure to be their company. A massive thank you to Jim and Rev T C for inviting me to the SSB and organising everything. The students were fantastic, and the service with the live music, tremendous. Thanks you.
From Burlington I made my way down to The Lily Dale Assembly in New York. Lily Dale as always been a place I have wanted to visit, and it was wonderful to have the opportunity to be there. Established in 1879, Lily Dale is the oldest Spiritualist community, and the history exudes from the place. Sometimes it's important to be reminded of the shared history that we share, and to remember the work of thousands of other people over 169 years, many of whom worked silently in the background to make spiritualism what it is. I did fee humbled by Lily Dale and its history. I am hoping to visit Lily Dale again in 2019.
It is often assumed that mediumship is the primary reason why people become convinced by the claims of spiritualism. This article explores this question by examining the conversion narrative of A R Wallace, the co-founder of the theory of evolution by natural selection. Wallace was a committed naturalist, and was considered by his scientific peers to be more Darwinian than Darwin himself. Although Wallace claims that the primary reason for his conversion was the séance phenomena he witnessed, there were aspects of his thought that made him susceptible to the philosophy of Spiritualism before he had even attended a séance room. This article explores some of these ideas and attempts to give a more rounded view of what caused Wallace to change his worldview, which, as you will see, had a dramatic impact on his ideas concerning human evolution.
I hope this article will help us better understand the complex nature of our belief systems and how our preexisting ideas and interests influence the way we view the world and make us susceptible to certain philosophical claims.

Can Mediumship Be Scientifically Tested?
Contacting the dead has been a human fascination since the beginning of time. Aboriginal cave paintings found in Australia dating back tens of thousands of years ago that depict mythical creatures, ancient songlines, spirits and the afterlife. Since the 1800s, when mediumship reached a sort of fervour in England, questions about the legitimacy of contacting the spirit world abound.
Even Nobel laureate and famous scientist Pierre Curie investigated medium Eusapia Palladino - an Italian medium, who lived and worked during the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Eusapia produced phenomena like rappings, table elevations, and ectoplasmic materialisations. Scientists across Europe studied Eusapia extensively, due to the strength, variety, and reliability of her demonstrations. While many consider her a cheat, there are also many credible investigators who became convinced of the genuineness of the effects.
The Real Question
There are those who religiously oppose any possibilities of psychic or medium abilities, and there are those who believe utterly. As fraud mounts, it behoves sceptics and believers alike themselves to ask honestly:
In fact, it’s a problem worth considering. If mediumship is not, in fact, magic or supernatural, it must operate by natural laws. However, are we sure our knowledge of natural laws is broad enough to fully understand the spiritual realm?
Reputable mediums are, themselves, often presented with carefully controlled “tests” designed to prove or disprove their abilities. But can a spiritual presence thrive in such a controlled environment? Many say no.
However, newly released classified documents indicate even sceptics at the highest level - British, Israeli, as well as the American intelligence--might have found cause to believe. After conducting a series of experiments with famous psychic Uri Geller in the 70’s, the CIA concluded that Geller did, in fact, exhibit proof of psychic capabilities.
Challenges to Mediumship
Critics are hardly ready to concede defeat. For years, the James Randi Educational Foundation offered a huge monetary reward for anyone who could demonstrate paranormal powers under controlled conditions. The challenge was terminated in 2015 without a winner, with challengers citing the mysterious nature of spiritualism and the difficulty of connecting to the spirit world under such rigorous, unnatural conditions.
With so many challenges, can mediumship stand up to the rigours of scientific inquiry? Ultimately, what many fail to understand, is that before science can prove or disprove mediumship our scientific, theological, and philosophical knowledge must grow. Not until our knowledge of natural laws grows and evolves will we fully understand the spiritual world.
It has been a very hectic week, as I have been in four different countries over the last 7 days. After coming back from Norway, I briefly came back to the UK before I left for Switzerland to work with a regular group of students that I have been teaching for around four years. Many students do not realise this, but one of the biggest obstacles to their development is not their mediumship, but rather their ability to assimilate the teaching, which leads to changes in the way they work with the spirit world and the evidence that they receive. In Switzerland, for instance, over the last four years I have had to re-emphasise many of the same points over and over again. Although students understand what you're teaching, and seem to take it on board, often they quickly revert back to their old habits. This can be frustrating, and is the reason why regular, progressive training is really required if you are serious about the development of your mediumship. The Swiss students are now just beginning to assimilate my teachings, and their mediumship is changing as a result: we are now seeing the fruits of our labour.
It is always the most rewarding part of teaching: watching people grow, and their mediumship come alive and evolve. It always makes me smile when students say, 'I've heard you say that 100 times before, but now I realise I haven't been doing it, and I now completely understand.' Mediumship is one of the hardest things to teach because more often than not the experience transcends language. There are certain aspects that you can't teach. For instance, when you say to a student, 'you need to surrender to the power', although you can explain what you mean by this - you can explain the concept - you can't adequately explain how the experience feels or exactly what they have to do, as the experience cannot be completely translated into words. Consequently, the student must experience it for themselves to fully understand. All the tutor can do is provide the opportunity for a student to have an experience; however, it is only the student who can allow themselves to experience it. It is similar to that old proverb ' you can take a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.'
The students willingness to experience, to change, to transform and to trust, will dictate the length of their development, and the nature of the difficulties that they will face along the way. Some students say they are willing, but then during the exercises do not demonstrate their willingness. Indeed, it is the students willingness to demonstrate their willingness - to actually do it - that makes the difference.
The students in Switzerland are now beginning to see this for themselves, and as they have begun to be more willing to transform themselves and express their mediumship, their confidence has grown, and so their willingness to transform and express will naturally increase. It was a very enjoyable seminar, as was the Italian Week at Paul Jacob's House of spirit, which followed directly after the Switzerland seminar.
In a couple of weeks I will be releasing a new free to download article on the difficulties that students face within their mediumship. Hope you enjoy!

It's been a busy couple of weeks. After finishing a course a Paul Jacobs' House of Spirit in Germany, I flew out to Norway to work with a group of Norwegian students. It is the first time that Siri has organi
ed a course, and my visit marked the first time a British medium has held a Seminar and demonstrated in Kristiansand in Norway. It's a fantastic small coastal city that is located on the southern coast: its residents are very warm, it's architecture quaint, and it's air clean. It was a fantastic location to hold a seminar. I must take this opportunity to say a Massive thank you to Siri. For those who know Siri, to call her a special person is somewhat of a truism. She is a very warm, sensitive and inviting person, whose dedication to the spirit world, and to bringing the message of the spirit to the city of Kristiansand is something that ought to be admired. Thank you for everything you have done during the weekend, the spirit world nor I could have asked for more. It is always refreshing to work with a group of students who, regardless of their level of experience, have a enthusiasm and willingness to learn new things. It was a joy to teach you, and thank you for taking on board the teaching. The demonstration on Saturday evening was great simply because the vast Majority of those in the qaudience had never been to a demonstration of mediumship, and to paraphrase Daniel Dunglass Home: if mediums are not demonstrating to the sceptical, they are not fulfilling their true purpose. While I always love, and will always love, demonstrating in Spiritualist churches and centres, there is something special when you can see that you have opened people's minds for the first time to the fact of survival. To represent the spirit on such occasion, as it is on every occasion, is not only a moving experience but a very humbling one. I have five days at home now before I travel to Saint Gallen in Switzerland, where I share two days with a group I have been working with on a regular basis for the last five years. Looking forward to it!!
