Pregnancy safe skincare can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that I’ve decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts. Here you’ll find pregnancy safe products from Charlotte Tilbury as of 7/21/2019. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. If they release a new product that is not listed here, please comment below and I will add it. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean. Please note, it can take up to an hour to review the ingredient lists of each product. I review with my own list of pregnancy safe criteria. I obtain my ingredient lists from the brands and major retailers (typically Nordstrom and Sephora), and I review the US versions. Please do not ask me to re-review the same products over and over, I do not have the time to do so, and many people have been rude about this. For more brands, please head over to the list of pregnancy safe products. Pregnancy Safe Products from Charlotte Tilbury • Beach Stick (at Sephora): Moon Beach, Las Salinas, Ibiza, Formentera • Beauty Light Wand (at Sephora): Peachgasm, Goldgasm, Spotlight, Pinkgasm • Colour Chameleon Eye Shadow Pencil (at Sephora) • Eyes to Mesmerise Cream Eyeshadow (at Nordstrom) • Goddess Skin Clay Mask (at Nordstrom) • Hollywood Contour Wand (at Sephora) • Hollywood Flawless Filter (at Sephora) • Hollywood Lips Liquid Lipstick (at Sephora) • Hot Lips Lipstick (at Sephora) • Hot Lips Lipstick 2 (at Sephora) • Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask (at Sephora) • K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick (at Sephora) • Latex Love Long-Lasting Lip Gloss (at Sephora) • Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask (at Nordstrom) • Lip Cheat Lip Liner (at Sephora) • Lip Lustre Lip Gloss (at Sephora) • Magic Away Concealer (at Sephora) • Magic Foundation (at Sephora) • Matte Revolution Lipstick (at Sephora) • Mini Miracle Eye Wand (at Nordstrom) • Retoucher Concealer (at Nordstrom) • Supermodel Body Slimmer Shimmer Shape, Hydrate & Glow (at Nordstrom) • Superstar Lips Lipstick (at Sephora) • Take It All Off Genius Eye Make-Up Remover (at Nordstrom) • Unisex Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer (at Sephora) • Wonderglow Face Primer (at Sephora) Not Safe for Pregnancy, Ok for Nursing • Brightening Youth Glow Primer (at Sephora): Stem Cells • Charlotte’s Magic Cream (at Sephora): Chemical Sunscreens (Homosalate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Octocrylene), Salicylate (Ethylhexyl Salicylate) • Light Wonder Foundation (at Sephora): Chemical Sunscreen • Overnight Bronze and Glow Mask (at Sephora): Sunless Tanner Not Safe for Pregnancy or Nursing Note I’m including products with retinoids here, as those are a bit iffy. There isn’t info out there on the safety of Cannabis used topically during pregnancy or nursing. We do know smoking marijuana with THC has bad effects and should be avoided, though it hasn’t been fully decided if it is just the THC or something else as well. Note Hemp does not have THC in it, it’s breed out of the plant basically. But there are still the unknowns we haven’t decided about. I would not recommend using Hemp or Cannabis products while nursing or pregnant for that reason. Affiliate Links

Finding pregnancy safe skincare can be very difficult, and it is easy to fall into the trap of thinking you must buy something that is labeled “clean”, free of every chemical you’ve never heard of, and of course, expensive. Guess what? You don’t have to buy into that hype. There are easily available, affordable, pregnancy safe skincare options at your local big box or drugstore. To prove it, I went to my local Walmart and put together a full routine of pregnancy safe skincare products. Walmart is one of my favorite places to shop for beauty products. My store has a huge selection of brands, so it is easy to find pretty much anything I need. And I can do that while doing my grocery shopping. It didn’t take me long to pick through the products at Walmart and find a lot of pregnancy safe options. The most time consuming part was deciding which ones I would be including in my routine if I was currently pregnant, because I usually had a bunch of great options to pick among. The Core Trio I think every pregnancy beauty routine should have a core trio of products. The trio should include a gentle cleanser, a moisturizer and a sunscreen. I go into this more in depth in my eBook on pregnancy skincare (tip: it’s free when you subscribe to my pregnancy beauty newsletter). Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser This face wash has long been one of my go-to favorite products, and it is a dermatologist favorite for a reason! It takes everything off, and it won’t leave behind any residue on your skin or strip your skin of moisture. Alternative: Liquid Neutrogena CeraVe PM Lotion, Face Moisturizer for Night Use This lightweight moisturizer has been a favorite of mine for a long time. It features Niacinamide and a slew of ceramides. The Niacinamide is a relative of Vitamin B3, it has antioxidant effects, improves hyperpigmentation and can improve cell turnover. The ceramides are naturally found in your skin, and in skin care products they help restore barrier function and hydrate the skin without feeling heavy. I love this moisturizer under makeup, it does a great job of prepping my skin with just the right amount of moisture. Aveeno Positively Mineral Sensitive Skin SPF 50 A quick and easy to use mineral sunscreen. I would use this one for every day, regardless of what my plans for the day are. Pregnancy is the perfect time to get Melasma, and a sunscreen is your best defense! Alternative: Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Face Liquid Sunscreen SPF 50 Shopping tip: My Walmart keeps most of the sunscreens together in a sunscreen aisle, rather than mixed in with the skincare products. You’ll find a couple of daily moisturizers with SPF in with the sunscreen (none of which are mineral based, so they aren’t pregnancy safe), so head to the sunscreen aisle to find the mineral facial sunscreens. Once you have your basic trio of products, you can pick out the “additionals” that get added to your routine, or swapped out, when a problem arises. Because skin issues change quickly during pregnancy (thanks hormones!), I recommend only changing out the additional products if possible, and leaving the core trio intact. Sometimes adjusting to new products can cause more problems than you are fixing. Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water I’m a big fan of eye makeup, in particular eyeliner and mascara. I need a little extra help removing those each day, and a micellar water like this is a huge help! It could even replace the gentle facewash completely, though I like to have both to use. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum For some reason, my skin turns to a desert during the second trimester. The serum is full of hyaluronic acid to help add much needed moisture, but it doesn’t feel heavy and you can layer it with the regular moisturizer. Neutrogena Moisturizing Hydro Boost Hydrating Face Mask Sometimes I want a super treatment, rather than adding in a daily product, to “jump start” my results. Here’s a terrific option to super hydrate your skin. These sheet masks are sold in singles, which I love! L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Cleanser and L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask Detox & Brighten There aren’t many pregnancy safe acne treatments available, particularly at this price point. I primarily used clay masks to keep my pore clear, as well as an occasional warm compress if needed. This cleanser and mask are perfect for the task! Note, Walmart also sells the Mint Julep Mask I used while pregnant, but the L’Oreal was released later and it is a bit gentler on skin while keeping pores cleaned out. So today I would pick the L’Oreal over the Queen Helene, but this a personal choice. Olay Mist Ultimate Hydration Essence Calming With Aloe Leaf & Chamomile In the summer I love a good mist, and this one from Olay is great for cooling down, setting makeup, or just misting before your moisturizer to add a little hydration to your skin. Amazing Find: Pregnancy Safe Lash Serum With all of the products I am asked to check for pregnancy safety each day, I think I’ve seen 2 lash serums that are safe to use during pregnancy. Ever. And of course, I have lost track of which products those were and haven’t found them again. We all want long and lush lashes, and that doesn’t go away once you’re expecting. Equate Lash Enhancement Serum with 3D VitaRush Peptide Complex Behold, a pregnancy safe eyelash serum! My Walmart has a huge end cap of these, making it easy to find them. I haven’t tried it yet (I have a huge stash of serum at home), but at $15 a tube I don’t think you can go wrong with trying it out! What affordable skincare products have found their way into your daily routine? Shop the Post Affiliate Links, Sponsored Post This post is sponsored by Walmart, but […]

There isn’t info out there on the safety of Cannabis used topically during pregnancy or nursing. We do know smoking marijuana with THC has bad effects and should be avoided, though it hasn’t been fully decided if it is just the THC or something else as well. Note that in theory Hemp and CBD do not have THC in them, it’s breed out of the plant is the official status. However, depending upon how it was processed many CBD oils will test positive for THC. But there are still the unknowns we haven’t decided about. I would not recommend using Hemp or Cannabis products while nursing or pregnant for that reason. • ADVANCED NECK CREAM: Retinoid • AQUA INFUSION POWER LIQUID: Retinoid • EXFOLIATING TREATMENT MASK: Retinoid • HYDRATING DAY & NIGHT CREAM: Retinoid • ILLUMINATING SERUM: Retinoid • KEFIR MOISTURE REPAIR PRESSED SERUM: Retinoid • MULTI-SPECTRUM EYE RENEWAL SERUM: Retinoid • OVERNIGHT SKIN RESCUE TREATMENT: Retinoid, Glycolic Acid • PURIFYING CLEANSER: Retinoid • REVITALIZING EYE CREAM: Retinoid • VOLUME DEFENSE DEEP WRINKLE SERUM: Retinoid Affiliate Links

Here you’ll find every pregnancy safe skincare product from DHC as of 6/29/2019.
