Valid

Today I am going to write something different than my usual content.

This article is more of an awareness to my readers about traveling to the Himachal.

You all have read many articles on ‘travel in Himachal in India.’

Certain places in Himachal are ‘paradise,’ people from all over the country, from different parts, come to this ‘Heavenly paradise’ in search of solitude and a good vacation.

Those who live in the north of India Himachal Pradesh is like a second home to them. They prefer to spend their long weekends going there instead of other parts of the country.

Now, here is a concern.

What do you think had happened that has made me write this article pleading you to stop traveling to the Himachal now?

Hill stations in North India like Nainital, Shimla, Manali are recently witnessing a massive number of arrivals of tourist from all over the country.

With the rise in the temperature, people are vacationing in the colder places thinking of getting a temporary respite from the heat.

Well, I have absolutely no problem with people vacationing. But if this whole thing of tourism creates an imbalance in the ecosystem, then definitely being a citizen, it’s my responsibility to aware you through the means of the platform which is available to me.

Climate Changes is a significant issue

It is the Himalayan region that makes these places so unapologetically beautiful. The Indian Himalayan Region covers a vast area.

Some areas are inaccessible to the layman, but they can still see and explore the beauty from a distance.

We all know how much global climate changes have impacted the entire planet.

It has also impacted the vast Himalayan Ecosystem. Experts say the climate changes are a matter of concern for food security, water security, and biodiversity loss.

Although we get to see a gorgeous scenic Himalayan view on our trip to the Northern Indian hills, the truth beneath is something else.

If you are following the daily news, you will know that the changes in these regions are hugely affecting the lives of the local people.

Locals are facing an acute crisis of water these days. The situation is getting harder as the days are passing by. Places like Kullu, Manali, Chamba, Solan, etc are the worst-affected due to water scarcity.

So, next time, whenever you will see a picture of these beautiful places on Instagram or Facebook, think once about the condition of those local people.

Undoubtedly, the photos are so great that it is hard not to think about its beauty.

I love photography and love to explore places. I frequently post pictures of the places where I have been to.

So, I know what it feels like when you see a picture of a snow-clad mountain or a narrow, smooth curvy road with greenery all around. Like I said before, ‘it lures us.’

But ignore the feeling and think of the bigger picture.

You as a traveler or tourist might not pay attention to this predominant issue thinking ‘you are here just for a few days for vacationing.’

But it should be known to you that the people of this small hill towns have to literally wait for days to get clean water in their homes.

So, yes, it is a severe issue that is needed to be discussed.

The economic status of Himachal Pradesh is primarily dependent on tourism. Each day a vast number of tourists come and stay in the hotels.

In a way, it is helping in generating greater economy but also profoundly affecting the ecosystem.

Even these days, it is seen that the traffic has aggressively increased, an uncountable number of tourist cars trapped in the hilly sloppy narrow roads.

Can you imagine how much gas these cars are emitting?

Of course, by polluting the air, it creates an imbalance in the Himalayan Ecology.

Now, this isn’t a one-day activity. It is years and years of torture of humankind to the environment.

To increase the tourism of Himachal, the state government has upgraded the infrastructure, raised in the numbers of hotels, invested crores in promoting.

Local travel agencies, social media influencer post mesmerizing pictures of different places of the Himachal and lure more and more tourist to come.

By doing this, there is no doubt it is helping the local people in generating their income, but who will think about nature?

It is our responsibility to take care of our environment.

Not all people are responsible travelers. A few days ago, on the news, I saw volunteers cleaning up the waste products loitering around in the areas near the hills.

They collected a massive number of bags of wastage. You could imagine now how much it has affected the climate and its environment.

Do you know the farmers of Kullu-Manali region are suffering terribly?

Due to a decrease in rainfall and rising in temperature, it has dramatically affected the agriculture and horticulture in this region.

The snowfall in the Himachal is decreasing with each year. Although you won’t understand the difference as it is changing in a small percentage, this change is a major issue. The flow in the pattern of the valley rivers is also changing a bit.

These intricate details may not be that crucial for you, but experts are saying that if collaboratively everyone makes an effort to stop these environmental changes, then this eventually will save the planet and ‘us.’

Securing the environment has become and should be the main focus of the people.

I am not against traveling to this beautiful earthly place, but I plead everyone to travel responsibly.

I have written an article on ‘how to travel responsibly’, so you can read the article too.

It is our sole duty to restore the beauty of mother nature.

Thank you, everyone, I hope you all have read this entire article and understand the importance of it.

Please do share with everyone and write back to me if you have any queries.

We often get confused about ‘where to go for a vacation.’ The month of May is almost reaching the end, and the summer continues to dominate June too.

The dominant weather in India is summer, so people want to go on a vacation to the places where the weather is more relaxed, and the temperature is pleasant. With little planning and assistance, you can have a greatly enjoyable summer vacation in June.

So, here is a list of best places to visit in India in June which can offer you the much-needed respite from the summer.

Auli, Uttarakhand

Without any doubt, summer is the best time to visit the paradise named Auli, which is nestled in Uttarakhand. Although, winter is also an ideal time for visiting this hill station for snow enthusiasts. You can plan here at any time of the year depending on your preference.

But you won’t be able to experience any snow as mountains remain barren during this time of the year. But you can still enjoy the pleasant weather and can-do trekking if that interest you.

Sikkim is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in India. It has breathtaking ice-cold lakes, waterfalls, monasteries, and scenic drive that needs some guts.

For any adventurous traveler, Sikkim will always be his/her first on the list. Sikkim is situated in the North East part of India, which the people of North and South don’t precisely consider in their tourist destination list.

But unless you will go there and experience, you won’t understand why traveling here will build a beautiful memory.

North Sikkim could be challenging for a traveler as the area has rough terrain and weak infrastructure. But mostly visitors, love traveling to Gangtok and Pelling.

The best way to go to Sikkim is to fly to Bagdogra airport and from there rent a good cab and reach Gangtok.

Kullu Manali is one of the most visited tourist destinations in India during summer. It is an ideal travel destination for a family, honeymoon, backpackers, solo travelers, and road drives.

Kullu Manali has close proximity with endless waterfalls, temples, the Kullu valley is surrounded by pine forest and located at the Great Himalayan ranges. So, many beautiful things one will get at a single destination.

So, needless to say, I must add Kullu Manali on my list of lists of best places to visit in India in June (Summer).

North East is the most neglected part of our country and Shillong is the less-traveled hill station in India. 80% of people of our country don’t have any idea of how beautiful the Northeastern states are.

Well, June is definitely the right month of the year when you can plan to visit Shillong. The temperature remains pleasant. You can visit and experience the North Eastern food and culture.

Shillong is named as ‘The Scotland of the East.’ Maybe on your next visit, you will understand.

For any Bengali, Darjeeling is such a hill station which will always be the favorite. During May and June, folks around the West Bengal and nearby states mostly prefer to come here for respite from the scorching heat.

Also, the traveling cost in Darjeeling is cheaper, and it is ideal for a 3-4-day long trip.

Mahabaleshwar

Mahabaleshwar is a beautiful small hill station situated in Maharashtra. You have to go through another small hill station named Panchgani to reach Mahabaleshwar.

You can go on a 5-day long trip to Mahabaleshwar in June. This is the most popular place to go nearby Mumbai and Pune. The best way to enjoy Mahabaleshwar is by road.

Coonoor

Ooty is an all year destination, which is situated in the Nilgiri hills and is considered as one of the best hill stations in South India. Although, for the past few years, Ooty has become overcrowded with tourist coming here throughout the year.

The small hill station is very well connected to railways and roadways. Also, the Nilgiri Mountain railway has been stated as a World Heritage site by the UNESCO.

If you are staying in the southern part of India, visiting Ooty in June would be an ideal choice.

Wayanad

Wayanad in Kerala is settled in the slopes of Western Ghats and is a land of exotic wilderness. It is also an internationally quite famous tourist destination in India.

Backpackers from the other countries come here to visit the beauty of nature that has bestowed on this place.

Waynad has a pleasing atmosphere throughout the year, the place will give you a different experience and feeling at each season.

Because it is situated in the Western Ghats, so I would say June to September would be challenging as an adventurous traveler. The weather remains windy and rainy, which is definitely troublesome, but Wayanad looks beautiful with mist covering the mountains.

Coorg

Coorg is also located in the slopes of the Western Ghats in the Karnataka state of India. With endless waterfalls, hills, and beautiful valleys, it is a widely known popular tourist destination in India.

If you are planning to go in Coorg this June, then push your dates by the end of the month. With the arrival of monsoon during that time, Coorg looks heavenly Scotland.

Next on my list of best places to visit in India in June is ‘McLeodganj.’ Populated mainly by the Tibetans, McLeodganj remains cooler compared to the rest of the country.

April to June is the season of summer and this period is considered as the best for outdoor activities like trekking, hiking, paragliding.

This is also a hill station like the rest of the above mentioned, but McLeodganj has a different culture, it has inherited the Tibetan culture, which makes this place so unique.

Monsoon is definitely not the ideal time of the year to go. The next best time would be winter if you are a snow enthusiast.
But summer is the peak season so, you are advised to book your hotels a month or two ago.

Conclusion:

So, this is pretty much is my list of best places in India where you can plan your next trip for the next month (June).

So, overall the gist is, if you stay in the north then the preferable destination that you can choose is Auli, Kullu Manali and McLeodganj.

If you stay in the western part of India, then I have listed Mahabaleshwar for you.

If it is on the eastern side of the country, consider going to Darjeeling, Sikkim, and Shillong.

Last but not least, if you are staying in the Southern states and you prefer to go nearby, then the best would be Wayanad, Coonoor, and Coorg.

I hope you liked the list. Please comment and share with your friends and if you have any queries or want to contribute, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you.

North Goa or South Goa? Where should I go?”

This question may have pop-up quite a few times when you plan your trip to Goa.

Goa, a beautiful small state stretched across the western coastline of the Arabian Sea. Goa attracts the most percentage of visitors across the country.

Although it’s not a big state, one can pretty much cover the key sightseeing spots in both North and South Goa.

Goa is popularly known for its beaches and nightlife.

It has numerous beaches, a few famous beaches in North Goa and a great many serene beaches in South Goa.

Now, the question arises, which one should you choose.

Based on a couple of reasons, one can think of where to stay in Goa.

I have been to Goa twice, and I stayed both in North and South Goa. Trust me, both are different and has given me a different experience of my travel.

Beaches:

Beach experience in both north and south Goa are entirely different. Beaches in the north remain crowded almost throughout the year. Visitors mostly, prefer to visit the north Goa more.

Especially beaches like Calangute, Baga, and Candolim remains very busy and crowded. These beaches are the craziest one during the peak season.

Calangute and Baga beaches have several fantastic restaurants and pubs. So, you can spend a whole day in watersports, swimming, and partying with your friends.

Read: https://worldupclose.in/best-beaches-in-goa-for-water-sport/

Mostly, those who are bachelors, North Goa is a popular beach destination for them.

South Goa beaches, on the other hand, are more quiet, neat and clean. They are more developed and more scenic with shacks and private resorts. You can enjoy the emptiness and serenity of the beaches. I would say, it’s a treat to watch the shores of the south Goa.

Palolem beach, Colva beach, Butterfly beach are the one where you can rejuvenate your lost soul.

Parties:

North Goa is the savior for all party lovers. Most of the beach parties are organized in the north Goa. So, if you are a party lover and want crazy nights, I bet North Goa is ideal for you.

Pubs like Titos, Café Mombos, are the one for exciting parties at dusk. There are many others, but I could only name these two as I have been to these two pubs.

On the other hand, there are limited beach parties in South Goa beaches, and these are mostly for the elite class. These parties are quieter and more sophisticated unlike the crazy loud music of the north beach parties.

Most are organized by the resorts, and they entertain only the resort guest. Many prefer to stay in South Goa for luxury and resort comfort.

Economic:

Economically, North Goa is a bit cheaper than South Goa. In the North, you will get hotels as per your budget like you will get 5 start hotel like Novatel and also less expensive hotels that will fit your pocket.

There are unlimited hotel options in North Goa. Because tourist frequently comes here, so the numbers of hotel stay are more than South Goa.

If you are looking for 3-4 days of long relaxation on a sea facing resort, nothing beats the South Goa beaches. Several amazing luxury resorts have been developed in these areas.

Although, newly married couples choose south Goa over the north for its secluded and private beach resorts.

Shopping:

Well, well! Who doesn’t shop in Goa?

Goa flea markets are known for stylish, cheap and fashionable garments and pieces of jewelry. If you love shopping, you can check out the North Goa flea markets where you will pretty much have to bargain if you want to pick budget-friendly accessories.

There are a few that I know ‘Anjuna market, Apora market, and Mapusa market.’ I liked shopping at the Mapusa market. I bought footwear and handicrafts items.

South Goa has fewer options for shopping lovers. You can roam around the Palolem market, and Colem market which I felt are the best in the South. But compared to the north, prices were reasonable at South Goa. Still, many say they find South Goa flea market pricey.

Conclusion:

So, based on your preference and travel requirement, you can judge which one would be the best pick up for you “North or the South Goa.”

If you want just to relax your vacations, then I would recommend staying in South Goa beach resorts.

If you want to party and roam around renting a bike then would suggest going for North Goa beaches.

The options are always wide open and plenty in Goa. If you have sufficient time, then you can even travel both by renting a car. The road drive throughout Goa is incredibly beautiful.

I am sharing my personal experience, I with my husband traveled to Goa from the Pune city by our car. We preferred to stay at north Goa near Candolim beach, but we drove around the South Goa which was breathtaking especially because it was during the monsoon.

So, guys, if you are planning for Goa, you can ask me any question. I would be happy to answer.

You can also mail me which you will find in the ‘Contact’ page.

Thank you!

Are you looking for the best beaches in Goa for water sport?

Well! Goa is one of the most popular and most visited destinations in India. It is not only known for its best beaches and nightlife, but also you can enjoy unlimited water sport activities if you want.

Water sports like scuba diving, jet ski, bumper ride, banana ride, etc that one can enjoy. People who love beach holidays often choose Goa as their destination unlike other beach destinations in India.

By now, you might know that Goa has plenty of beautiful beaches. Some are crowded with everyday tourist whereas a few beaches that you will find are serene and calm.

I have been to Goa twice. The 1st time it was on my honeymoon, and the 2nd time it was a long road drive from Pune city to Goa. Perhaps, the road drive was one of the best travel experiences I have ever done.

So, summer is here, and watersport is the best outdoor activity to do in Goa.

The motif of reading this blog post is to get an idea, on which beach one can find the watersport activities.

So, follow the article below:

Calangute Beach

Goa is a small state in Western India with popular stretches of coastlines along the Arabian Sea. Among the many beaches, Calangute beach is one of the best beaches in Goa for water sport.

The beach is vast, full with visitors enjoying the beach shacks and scenic water tides. You can explore the water sports activities which are widely popular in Calangute Beach.

You can connect with various ‘Goa watersport agents’ nearby the beach. They will aid you with all the necessary items and information. Mostly, the cost for these watersports differs from agent to agent.

Baga Beach

Yet another popular beach in north Goa is Baga which is lively, throbbing with visitors all the time, amazing nightlife and beach parties.

I am sure those who have visited Goa, mostly they choose to stay either near Baga beach or Calangute.

For watersport, after Calangute, Baga is the best beach in Goa for water sport outdoor activities. Here, you can enjoy jet skiing on the water tides, parasailing, and power scooter rides.

You want more?

Here it goes, some watersport packages also provide snowboarding and surfing if you are keen to do that.

Miramar Beach

Well! Do you desire for a scuba diving?

You don’t have to go to Andaman & Nicobar for that instead you can experience this amazing watersport here in Goa itself.

Miramar Beach is popular for its scuba diving. You want to explore underwater, want to explore the beauty of the sea world you can get it here at this spot. But having said that, it’s not that easy, one has to get training from “The National Institute of Watersports.”

Colva Beach

I have been to Colva beach, but it was raining at that time. I went to Goa last year during the monsoon which isn’t an ideal time to visit Goa, but the road trip from Pune was worth a try.

Although it was drizzling, there were a few ‘banana ride’ that people were enjoying to the fullest. I was just enjoying the beach and rain with coconut water. It was bliss.

So, if you want to skip Baga and Calangute, you can definitely come to Colva beach for watersport activities.

Anjuna Beach

Anjuna Beach is highly liked by foreign tourist. The beach is gorgeous, not overpopulated liked Baga and Calangute. It has maintained its serene beauty, and the beach is next to the famous Chapora fort.

Like I have said a few lines above, the beach attracts a lot of international tourists and the private beach resorts can arrange watersports like jet skiing, banana ride, parasailing, kayaking and many more that you can enjoy with your friends and family.

Dona Paula

Dona Paula is a perfect spot where all watersports equipment are available. You can also do fishing if that interest you. Although fishing is not considered a watersport, it is a quite adventurous outdoor activity that many have an interest.

Vagator Beach

Like all other beaches, Vagator beach which is situated on the west coast of Goa is a fantastic beach that attracts visitors from all over the country. It is a quiet and peaceful beach, ideal for them who want some peace.

I went to the Vagator beach to see the sunset. The view was breathtaking indeed. I remember watching people enjoying watersports like banana rides and parasailing.

So, pretty much I can say Vagator beach is also one of the best beaches in Goa for watersport entertainment.

Conclusion

Well!

I hope you guys find the article “Best beaches in Goa for Water sport” helpful. Especially for those, who haven’t yet visited Goa, take a short break from your hectic life and enjoy the beach holidays in Goa.

Hey guys!

Hope you all are doing well. Are you looking for the best places to travel in West Bengal?

Okay, Let me ask, have you ever been to West Bengal in India?

Well, my hometown is situated in West Bengal which is in the eastern region of the country India. The state combines art, music, literature, culture, heritage and has vibrant city life. Let me tell you a little about my state.

The history of the West Bengal is vast. There are several facts and incidents from the days of independence (1947); partition, the British rule, politics, communal violence, and numerous historical events are there.

Over the years, it has emerged as a beautiful state. The West Bengal tourism has everything to offer you forest, beaches, hill stations, and historical places.

I have spent 25 years of my life here studied the history of the state, went to places, enjoyed the Bengali cuisine and city life.

To all, who haven’t yet visited West Bengal, this article is for them. I will share with you, the 21 best places to travel in West Bengal for a perfect family vacation.

Here is the list:

The city of Joy Kolkata –

Kolkata is the capital of the state. Initially, it was known by its British name ‘Calcutta,’ later it was renamed as ‘Kolkata’ by the government.

Over the decade the city has changed a lot, but it is still rich in culture and represents strong Bengali heritage and tradition.

Some of the places like Victoria Memorial, Indian Museum, Howrah Bridge, Maidan, Birla Planetarium, National Library and numerous other things about Kolkata makes it unique and different from the rest of the country.

One the best thing about the city you can never hold your cravings for the street food of Kolkata, which is famous. And of course, the sweets of Kolkata are even more popular. There are tons of things to do and see in this fantastic city.

Note: I will publish an article about ‘Kolkata’ very soon.

Shanti Niketan

Every Bengali read, listen and dances on Rabindranath Tagore‘s works. His contribution to the literature, art, and music has been immense.

Shanti Niketan is the place where he peacefully spent his days working, and he called it home. There is a University named ‘Vishwa Bharti University’ where you will find all the great works of Tagore kept safe.

Shanti Niketan is a small and quaint town, but a trip to this fantastic place will be worth remembering. Shanti Niketan is one of the best places to travel in West Bengal with family, especially during the festive occasion of ‘dol’ which is the festival of color in West Bengal. People play with colors and sing songs of Rabindranath Tagore. This is an unique of celebration that the people of Bengal love.

You can reach Shanti Niketan by rail and by road from Kolkata. Any literature lover will find the place exciting and will get to know more about Tagore’s life.

Sunderban National Park

If you want to experience the wildlife and nature at the same time, a tour through the mangrove forest of Sunderban will be an ideal choice.

The National Park is located in the Sunderban deltas and is home to the Royal Bengal Tigers. If you are lucky, you can get a view of the tigers along with the other animals.

You can also get to witness many striking and beautiful birds. The Sunderban National Park is an excellent option for wildlife photographers; they can capture some of the superb wildlife photographs.

Murshidabad

As I was saying West Bengal is known for its rich historical importance and, to begin with, Murshidabad is such a place. It has been home to several Nawabs who once ruled the state.

Hazarduari Palace is one of the most famous tourist destination spots. A magnificent palace built in 1837, which has a thousand doors and 114 rooms. It is an exciting place to visit and a perfect short weekend trip for a family. The best way to commute is to take Hazarduari Express train from Kolkata.

Bishnupur

Do you know what terracotta is?

It is a clay-based ceramic where the fire is used for baking.

Bishnupur is popularly known as the land of terracotta. You will find plenty of temples that reflect the rich architecture and detailed terracotta work.

The best time to visit Bishnupur would be during the winter because in summer the temperature touches 42degree Celsius. The weather remains irresistible.

Bishnupur fair is quite an extraordinary thing in West Bengal, it attracts a huge crowd, but you can skip if you don’t want the crowd.

Bishnupur is well-connected by both road and rail. There are trains available from Howrah, and plenty of Calcutta State Transportation Corporation buses are available regularly from Esplanade bus stand to Bishnupur. These aren’t air-conditioned buses, so if you want a comfortable journey, it is better to hire a cab.

Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary

Far from the city life, coming to a Wildlife Sanctuary spending your vacations with your family will give you all memorable moments.

There is another best place to travel in West Bengal and that is Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary is a vast grassland and is home to ‘One Horned Rhino.’

The sanctuary protects a great variety of flora and fauna. You will need to take a professional guide who will help you throughout the tour. You can also take a Jeep safari inside the forest. It will be an adventurous and thrilling experience getting close to wildlife.

Your kids will probably love to ride an elephant in the morning. Not only elephant but you can also witness other various species of animals. The trip to Jaldapara will make them forget about caged animals in the zoo and it will horizon their sight towards nature and wildlife.

Dooars

The next one is my favorite destination in West Bengal which is Dooars, laying in the foothills of the Himalayas in northern Bengal is an excellent place to visit for a perfect family vacation. It is best known for its rich biodiversity and forest.

Imagine your journey through the lush green tea garden, hill slopes, quiet villages. Your heart and soul will be pleased enough with these scenic views.

October to March is traditionally the best time of the year to visit the beautiful place. The nearest town is Siliguri you can halt there for local shopping.

Mandarmoni

You must want to know about the beaches in West Bengal.

Mandarmoni is a weekend gateway for the people of West Bengal. It is about 160 km from the city, and the road connectivity is too functional.

Mukutmanipur

A small town in the Bankura district of Kolkata has been successfully attracting tourist over the years.  Many who lives in Kolkata has never even visited the place.  Mukutmanipur dam is the largest in West Bengal, and it is situated near the rivers of Kangsabati and Kumari. It is a beautiful place indeed.

The easiest way to reach Mukutmanipur is to take a train available from Kolkata to Bankura and then a bus to Mukutmanipur which is around 55-60 km.

Mayapur

You must have heard of the Iskcon temple; they are spread all over the world.

Mayapur is home to the ISKCON. It is a spiritual center, people come and worship Lord Krishna. I have been to this place when I was in grade 7 or 8 with my parents. I found the place quite thrilling; they have a considerable number of followers.

There are different ways to reach Mayapur but I think the easiest will be to take a train from Kolkata (Sealdah) to Krishnanagar and from there take a bus to ISKCON Mayapur. We followed this route, and it took around 3-4 hours to reach.

Talshari

I have been to Talshari, and it was 7-8 years ago. I still remember how beautiful this place is. Early morning breeze, fishers busy catching fishes, boats lying on the beach.

A perfect place to capture the landscape in my camera. It was breathtaking. You can take plenty of beautiful photographs of early morning activities of fishers and boats from a different angle. It is located on the border of Orissa but near to a place name ‘Digha.’

Digha

To every person of Bengal, Digha is a very common tourist destination and considered as one of the best place to travel in West Bengal for a weekend trip. A coastal town faces towards the Bay of Bengal. It is a one-stop destination for families looking forward to spending a weekend relaxing.

I have been to this place five times, and I can even direct you the route with my closed eyes. I happen to know this place this much better.

I wonder why people don’t opt Shillong as their travel destination? It is such a beautiful place to visit in India during summer holidays.

Shillong is the capital of the northeastern state Meghalaya which is surrounded by picturesque landscape and nature’s beauty.

You will find numerous splendid waterfalls, forest, an opportunity to explore the northeast culture.

Although, people from the south and north don’t think of going to Shillong as north and south part of India has many hill station destinations. Like people from the north prefer Shimla, Manali or Uttarakhand and in the south, they mostly prefer Ooty, Munnar, Coorg and etc.

So, thoughts of going to Shillong doesn’t occur in their mind.

Manali

Manali is the most common and preferable best place to visit in India during summer. It is a package of everything. If you love a road trip, you can enjoy driving from Chandigarh to Manali.

A place which is ideal for summer vacation and winter vacation both. The best thing about visiting Manali is one can explore many hidden breathtaking locations that are serene, and you might not even have heard of those small villages or view spots in and around Manali.

For the people of North India, Manali is like a second home to them. It is near, road connectivity is functional, so people love to spend their long weekends nearby Manali.

Manali Attractions

  • Tibetan Monasteries
  • Solang Valley
  • Hadimba Temple
  • Old Manali
  • Rahala Falls
  • Kothi Village

If you are an explorer, I am sure you will find many other hidden, amazing places nearby Manali.

Munnar

As I was saying, India has hill stations scattered all over the country. Kerala, situated in the southernmost region of the country is country’s one of the most desired travel destinations.

Apart from dense forest, beautiful backwater and delectable cuisine, Kerala has some of the most amazing hill stations. And as you can see, it is a full package that offers a tourist everything that they want to experience on their trip.

People from all over the country irrespective of states or region, love to visit one such hill station named ‘Munnar’ during the summer.

The gorgeous views of the lush green tea plantations, hilly curvy roads, a few wildlife viewing spots, magical waterfalls and pleasant climate even during the summer make it a popular tourist destination place in India.

Munnar Attraction

  • Rajamala
  • Eravikulam National Park
  • Devikulam
  • Atukkad Waterfalls
  • Echo Point
  • Nyaymakad

Well, you can also enjoy a road drive from Bangalore to Kerala.

Coorg

‘Coorg’ is popularly named as ‘Scotland of India.’ The British called it Coorg, they left, but the name remained so for years.

Coorg is situated in the Western Ghats of southern Karnataka. The land of Coorg is bestowed with timeless beauty, rich history and surrounded with lush green tea and coffee plantations.

It is a great long weekend trip from Bangalore, but people from other parts of the country too visit Coorg.

Although the weather in Coorg remains pleasant throughout the year the ideal time to visit is from November to June.

So, if you stay in the southern part of India, you can plan to visit Coorg during the summer as a short trip. Or, you can also prepare for a long trip in Karnataka state and go to the selected nearby places.

Source: TourmyIndia

Coorg Attraction

  • Abbey Falls
  • Iruppu Falls
  • Nagarhole National Park
  • Mandalpatti Viewpoint

The above four attractions are what a friend of mine told me that these are among the best.

But if you have been to any other places in Coorg, then you can mention that in the comment box or directly mail me, I will update that name here.

Kodaikanal

One best place to visit in India during the summer is Kodaikanal which is situated in the lap of Western Ghats in Tamil Nadu.

You can plan a summer trip to Kodaikanal with your friends, family and even solo.

You will enjoy your stay always at any time of the year. But during the monsoon, western Ghats look the best. But it rains a lot so you won’t be able to enjoy other outdoor activities like trekking, hiking or sightseeing.

During summer, as the weather remains pleasant, you can always plan to come.

Kodaikanal Attraction

  • Kodaikanal Lake
  • Coaker’s Walk
  • Berijam Lake
  • Lake Viewpoint
  • Silent Valley View
  • Guna Caves

And the list continues..

So, Kodaikanal is definitely one of the best places to visit in India during summer.

Dalhousie

In my list, I am adding Dalhousie, a scenic hill station nestled in the Himalayan Range.

If you remember, we have read it in our history books that Dalhousie was named after the British Viceroy Lord Dalhousie. You will see Victorian architecture bungalows scattered across the hilly town.

Khajjiar is one such extraordinary beautiful place located just 24kms from Dalhousie, is considered as mini Switzerland. The area is surrounded by pine trees, and it has a small lake.

Mostly trekking, camping, and paragliding are done here during the summer, and during winter the place remains covered in snow.

Source: Goibibo

Apart from Khajjiar, you can also visit other attractions:

  • Tibetan Handicraft Centre
  • Dalhousie town market
  • Outdoor activities
  • Chamera lake
  • Temples

The temperature in summer remains maximum 25C-26C. Quite pleasant as compared to temperature in other cities.

Darjeeling

Darjeeling is the best place to visit in India during summer for the people who stay in the eastern and northeastern region of India.

Darjeeling is a historic place. It has historical significance, and even people from other countries too find this place quite interesting.

The beautiful town although remains busy and crowded during the peak tourist season, but Darjeeling is a gateway to various other picturesque small Himalayan villages where you can literally connect with your soul and attain peace.

There are several tea estates and plantations, you can enjoy riding a toy train. A week of the trip to Darjeeling during summer with your family or friends is ideal for a vacation.

A few attractions in and nearby Darjeeling:

  • Tiger Hill
  • Ghoom Monastery
  • Tea estate
  • Mirik
  • Siliguri
  • Kurseong
  • Sandakphu
  • Bara Mangwa
  • National Park
  • Tinchuley

There may be many more offbeat places one could find near Darjeeling within the radius of 100 km.

Goa

So far, I have only talked about the hill stations in India.

Does summer only attract cooler places?

I can’t deny that in India summer means extreme hot and humid weather. You can only think of places where you will be under the radar of much cooler temperature and places that can beat the ugly heat.

But there are some who rather enjoy beach holidays, enjoy wearing shorts and summer clothes, diving into the resort pool and show-off their dollars of the sunglass.

Goa is a great travel destination throughout the year in India. But during summer, the beaches of Goa looks excellent.

You can enjoy the water for many hours you want. You can enjoy water sports, get drunk in shacks, nightlife. Summer in Goa is like spending summer in Miami.

  • Morjim Beach
  • Vagator Beach
  • Colva Beach

Do you want to know my list of best travel blogs that I relish reading?

Well, we know that Google is now over saturated with travel blogs but there are a few that we enjoy reading in our free time, and slowly it gets added to our list of favorites.

Traveling is a beautiful experience. Getting to know new cultures, new places, foods, the beauty of each place all these together creates a memory for us.

Some bloggers love to share their travel experience, travel tips and some like to share with the readers about the destinations, food, little photography and information on stay. Whatever be it, travel blogs have relatively grown popular over the years.

Because I love reading all types of things be it magazine, or book or online articles. As I have a keen interest in traveling, I read a lot about travel too.

So, I have realized that I should make a post about the best travel blogs that inspire me and I often read. So, here are some of my favorite travel blogs that you can also read.

Nomadic Matt

Matthew Kepnes, popularly known as Nomadic Matt, among the travel bloggers. He has traveled to almost 100 countries, continues exploring the world. Through his website, he guides other travel enthusiast. If you read his blog, it will give you a personal touch and inspire you to start traveling.

He is also a New York Times bestselling author of his travel book “How to Travel the World on $50 a Day.”

Expert Vagabond

Coincidentally, the founder of Expert Vagabond is also named Matthew, with a different surname and he has been traveling for the last 9 years.

I love reading this blog because the home page looks great and comprised of countless inspiring travel articles on destinations, travel tips, and photography. He is a full-time professional travel blogger.

All the images of his travel make me think of traveling more. His experience of meeting new people, his way of embracing the nomad life is so cheerful and inspiring.

I wish I could do the same.

The Savvy Backpacker

If you want to travel to Europe, you can follow this fantastic travel blog. The Savvy Backpacker is a blog run by a husband and wife (James and Susan). They love traveling in Europe. You can get all Europe travel related information on their blog.

If you are wondering why I love ‘The Savvy backpacker,’ you better check out their blog.

The Barefoot Nomad

Indeed an amazing travel blog to read. Charles and Micki Kosman love traveling and write only about travel. They have a great list of travel-related contents like travel tips, tech, how can you save money in traveling things like those.

I love their ‘Travel blogs’ and ‘travel tech’ section, so many things that I learn and realize that I know very less about the world.

Traveling is indeed a great feeling and makes a family happy the most.

A Broken Backpack

A Broken Backpack is a travel blog by Melissa from Quebec, Canada. Her love for traveling is intense and that I could sense from her blog. She writes such amazing and inspirational travel stories and tips. I can’t stop myself from reading more than 1 articles of hers.

Maybe her blog isn’t that popular like Nomadic Matt, but ,A broken Backpack is one of my favorites.

Roads and Kingdoms

It’s one of my all-time favorite websites now. I love reading travel stories of places. One of the best things is they have also covered my country ‘INDIA.’

Not only cities but they also feature on ‘food.’ The photos of scrumptious food tempt me to click the page and look for more. All the pictures that the site has are incredible.

If someone opens the website, the images itself will attract the readers.

I don’t see many travel bloggers talk much about them, but I think Roads and Kingdoms is worth my time.

Anywhere We Roam

Anywhere We Roam is a beautiful and clean website, runs by Mark and Paul. They share their travel journey of places. I like the blog because of eye-catching pictures.

How can I not fall for this blog?

Travel Tales from India

Well, there are some best travel blogs in India as well. Among the many, one of my favorites is Mridula Dwivedi’s ‘Travel Tales from India.’

Her passion for travel is highly inspiring. At a young age, she had the guts to pursue her travel passion and her blog was also recognized as the ‘best Indian travel blog.’

Not only this, but her blog has also get featured and highly praised in the Guardian and the BBC.

Lakshmi Sharath

Once again, an Indian travel blogger, whose heart follows her dream of traveling and she continue doing that happily.

She covers her Indian travel stories. She quit her corporate job and started travel blogging which nowadays many amateur bloggers like me thinks of. But how many can really do that?

Migrationology

Mark is the man behind ‘Migrationology.’ He is a popular YouTube food blogger, who travels for the love of food.

Migrationology is his personal blog where he shares his life story, the experiences he had in each travel.

The most amazing part is his wife also accompanies him in his travel for the search of delicious local food.

Everyone travels to explore beautiful places, but he travels only for food. It’s different and unique, and that’s the reason I love reading and watching his videos too in my leisure time.

Conclusion

This is a small list of 10 best travel blogs that are currently my favorites. I am sure there are a lot of other good travel blogs too.

All the above personalities are an inspiration that made us believe nothing is better than traveling and making memories.

The most important thing is if you follow your passion money will follow you automatically.

I will update this list with time and my choice of reading. Until then, enjoy reading.

We all love taking pictures and like being clicked when we are traveling to beautiful places. It always feels good and lively, taking pictures of new places with family and sharing them with others.

Impressive travel photos are what we aspire on our journey through all the breathtaking places.

With the arrival of social media, it has changed the equation and purpose of traveling. Some take pictures for memories to cherish whereas some to post on Facebook and Instagram to make tons of followers and likes.

Now, you need stunning well-enhanced photographs, smartphones with good camera lens allows you to take better photos but it won’t make your image to another level as any professional photographer does.

What does a photo editing app do?

It’s, simple. The work of any photo editing app is to enhance an image by adjusting features like brightness, contrast, saturation and by adding different filters.

Now, almost all the photo editing apps do have the same functionality, but a few have an added filter or features like text, photo collage, slow motion and many more.

Gone are those days when only a DSLR can capture better pictures. The editing process has now become an essential part of photography.

Smartphones like Samsung, iPhone, One Plus have now advanced camera lens that helps any travel enthusiast to take some fantastic shots of their travel experiences.

Why is this post different?

You must be thinking there is nothing new that this blog post has to say. But I bet you will find it quite helpful when you read the entire article.

I will provide details about each “photo editing apps for mobile for travel photography.”

A photograph taken and edited using Snapseed photo editing app by me Adobe Lightroom

Adobe Lightroom is one of the best and simple photo editing tools by Adobe. You can install the Adobe Lightroom software in your desktop too.

Lightroom has been created for professional photographers, to edit their ‘raw capture images’ quickly and effectively without changing their original image. The software does both organizing and editing process.

Lightroom presets in the menu are great, and the Lightroom Classic color control panel works great too.

It has an HSL panel which allows you to adjust each color without affecting the other. It has excelled in creating great black and white images.

The software has in-built brush preset which allows the photographer to adjust skin tone. For wedding photographers, the brush tool is beneficial for retouching.

Not only this, it has “auto mask tool” which automatically detects the edges.

You can do all the necessary editing work using only Lightroom. I have been using this software for a long time on my laptop, and from personal experience, I am saying it is a highly useful tool.

Recently, I have installed Lightroom for mobile use, and it’s working okay.

Pro HDR X

If you love HDR images, then nothing is better than “Pro HDR X” app. This is an evolved version of Pro HDR X.

The app gives you enhanced HDR photos, it analyzes the picture, and by auto-picking, the best exposure combination gives you a stunning photograph that you are looking for.

The app provides you with a lot of features like a collection of frames and filters.

It makes your photo turn into a nice HDR image that is better than what the old Pro HDR used to offer.

There is only one disadvantage to this app. If you want Pro HDR X in your smartphone, your device needs to have the latest Apple software.

One more thing that I would like to add is, you need to buy this app at only $1.99

Snapseed

Snapseed is one of the best free photo editing app for travel lovers. You are a professional photographer or amateur; you will love this app once you get it started.

The best thing is Snapseed is available for both iOS and Android. Snapseed can give you some stunning images if you take keen interested in learning “how to use Snapseed for editing your picture.”

The app has all the necessary editing tools.

You can open your travel images one by one in Snapseed, and start editing as per your preferences like enhancing color, exposure, detail.

You can tune the image, use white balance. It has everything that one can use from their phone.

For your selfies, there is a portrait tool which helps in perfecting the selfies or portrait image by enhancing skin smoothing, face spotlight, and eye clarity.

There is another tool “Selective” which let you edit colors in your image individually. You can adjust the saturation, brightness, contrast by just selecting a specific area that you want to change.

So, next time you want to edit your travel pictures, try Snapseed and make your travel pictures look visually attractive.

Pixrl Editor

Pixrl Editor is another amazing photo editing software alternative of the above. You can download the desktop version as well as the mobile. The app functionalities are almost the same as photoshop. Nothing much to say on Pixrl Editor.

Night Cap Camera

An app that let you take amazing low light and night photos.

Imagine you are on a trip camping somewhere safe and you want to do night photography of the beautiful sky with millions of stars. But there is a problem you don’t have a DSLR and neither a good phone camera.

Well, in such a situation “Night Cap Camera” is the solution. Wouldn’t you like grainy images in low light, right?

The camera of the app is so powerful that it automatically sets focus and required exposure for a clearer night shot.

In long exposure, you need to hold your device steady, as you know. If you prefer the traditional way of photography, the app has manual control for that.

Night Cap Camera is an AI-enhanced tool that focuses only on a shallow light scene for faster result.

There are some fantastic additional features too that are quite exciting like automatic astronomy camera mode for meteors, stars.

Also, the ISO allows up to 4x higher ISO. No other app has this functionality neither can offer.

Aviary

Aviary is a great basic photo editor app for the beginners. Even a kid can use it to edit pictures.

The app Aviary wasn’t designed for the professionals. Some people want to take pictures but aren’t good at it.

Imagine yourself traveling on a beautiful place, and you have taken pictures that aren’t so good but you know if you edit them a little, they will look great. But neither you have the time nor much interest in editing like an expert.

For them, Aviary is perfect. It’s clean and straightforward without many distractions.

Slow Shutter Cam

Slow Shutter Cam is another such app that let you take night photos in long exposure. There are three modes in “slow shutter cam”- motion blur, light trail, and low light.

You hiked to a waterfall and its breathtaking; you want to capture the moment. You don’t need a pro camera for that, open the slow shutter cam in your phone and select the motion blur mode. You will admire the picture.

Light trail mode can be used when you want to capture the trails of light.

Afterlight 2

Afterlight 2 is a popular and user-friendly photo editing app for iPhone. It is a rich and powerful editing app with a lot of new features. It has 44 texture filters, 70 frames which includes in-purchase.

The app can be used by all irrespective of amateurs and professionals. You can literally explore the app by start editing your travel images using different tools.

The Afterlight app connects directly to the iPhone camera roll; it has a very friendly user interface with clearly marked icons.

The presets filters are already a built-in tool that saves time.

The Selective Lightness tool is you can say similar to the ‘Hue’. But unlike hue, the selective Lightness tool creates more subtle images.

Newly added features in the Afterlight app are

  • Dust Textures
  • Light Effects
  • Color Shift
  • Chroma

Also, the sad part is you need to pay a small amount.

VSCO

VSCO is one of my favorite and best free photo editing apps for mobile. VSCO has the best filters for turning your images into something unique and visually striking.

The app offers not just filters but more features like tint, skin tone, fade, highlight tint.

You can also manually adjust your pictures. If you are more into Instagram, editing your travel images using VSCO could make it more happening.

Download the VSCO app now and start making your travel images impressive.

Instagram

Instagram is not only a social media platform for sharing pictures, but it also offers picture editing options like basic editing features and filters.

If you compare Instagram photo editing features with the popular VSCO, Snapseed, Lightroom it is far behind from them, but still, people love editing their travel images at Instagram and upload directly.

Conclusion:

There may be plenty of other photo editing apps, but I feel these are the top 10 photo editing apps for mobile that can enhance your travel pictures to the next level.

Please share with us your opinions.

Are you looking to buy a new travel backpack for your next trip? But you are too much confused about which one to pick as there are so many available in the market.

Before jumping into the part of ‘how to choose or what to choose’ I would like you first to read and understand ‘why should you spend your money on a decent travel backpack?’ It’s going to be a long post that will provide you with a guide on the best travel backpack.

Why Should You Spend Money on Buying a Travel Backpack?

Wouldn’t suitcase be easier while traveling?

The answer is no.

Backpacks are the essential thing when you think of traveling. A person when travels always think of having a ‘comfortable journey‘ at the end of the day.

Suitcase tends to get dirty and damage easily when you are traveling vigorously around the world whereas a backpack is like your companion in traveling.

A decent backpack not only gives you a feeling of being adventurous but also it is far easier carrying in flights and public transport

If you buy a good quality of backpack with enough space to stuff all the essentials, then it is value for money. You can skip paying baggage charges in airlines and end up saving a fair amount of money.

Backpacks are long-lasting. If you buy a good quality backpack, you can use it for at least five years.

There are a great variety of different shapes and sizes of backpack you will get to see in the market both online and offline. You can buy any of the ones as per your need and usage.

Carrying a backpack, you can hop, run and jump. You can do anything. You can also make it your temporary pillow in camp. It is a very flexible and useful thing to buy for travel fanatics.

Important Features in a Travel Backpack You Should Check Before Purchasing/ How to choose your best backpack

Now, there are tons of travel backpacks in the market by seeing them you will quickly get confused. Each is different and have different features.

Before buying, you first need to know your requirement. Like, do you need a hiking backpack or daypack, a backpack for an expedition, overnight pack, laptop bag. Each is designed for a specific purpose.

For example, if you are out for a couple of hours just walking the streets of that destination or exploring restaurants or a city tour, then a ‘daypack’ is ideal.

Likewise, if you are going on for 2-3 days of hiking, what you need then is a backpack that can accommodate between 40-60L capacity.

So, what I intend to say is, ‘your purchase depends on your need.’

Here are the following features that can help you with choosing your best travel backpack:

Size and Capacity:  As I mentioned above the size of a backpack depends on its usage. You must always pick a backpack which is light and can be carried easily.

You can understand the size of the backpack by (liters). Liters means how much weight the backpack can take.

When you are in the store checking out the backpacks, make sure to buy the one which you are assured of concerning comfort.

It isn’t necessary that you have to buy a big 60L of a backpack for your next trip thinking you can stuff more of your things. If that backpack doesn’t fit you well, you might end up having issues carrying the backpack on your trip.

Think carefully about the size of the backpack before making a purchase.

Durability: Most of the excellent quality of backpacks cost above $50. Some of them are even above $200. Now, you should feel okay that you are spending on a good durable product which will not only guarantee to prevent damage but also last for several years.

Zippers: I love backpacks having at least 3-4 zippers or pockets. These are some of the best features a backpack can have. Not all brands of backpacks come with as many pockets.

With many zippers/pockets, you can organize your things in a better way. You can keep small things in the separate zipper and others in the conventional one space.

Again, too many compartments or zippers aren’t useful even. Sometimes, it gives you a sad day when you see your backpack having a broken zipper on your way to traveling.

Straps: Having quality straps makes the best travel backpack. Comfortable and light straps are essential in making your trip calm and composed.

If the straps of your pack aren’t good, then it is a serious issue. As bad straps can give your body trouble while carrying the weight of the pack.

The best travel backpack must have a comfortably padded hip belt, padded shoulder straps and strap across your chest (optional).

Weather Resistance: When you are traveling to places, you may face rain which is natural.

If your backpack which consists of pretty much all of your valuable things isn’t water-resistant or waterproof, can you imagine?

Yes, it will ruin everything. So, it is essential you buy a water-resistant backpack, not just any pack. Look for the material before you buy. It might cost you higher, but it is value for money.

I bought my waterproof laptop backpack a few years ago that cost me around INR 7000 ($100).

These are the few basic features that you must consider before purchasing a travel backpack.

DEUTER AIRCONTACT REI Rucksack 40

The REI Ruckpack 40 is a great carry-on backpack.

The look, material, and features of the backpack is solid. It comes in both men and women version. So, you have a choice. If we talk about its features, these are the following:

2. There are compartments and side pockets which allows you to keep your belongings in a more organized way. There are two mesh pockets on the inside panel.

Overall, I can say REI offers you a great urban travel pack. You can stop at any REI store, and you can see your own before buying this product.

REI RUCKPACK 40 Osprey Porter

Another backpack from the Osprey brand which is traveler’s favorite. It is ideal for urban traveling.

Although it comes with different sizes 30L, 46L, and 65L.

I especially like the Osprey Porter 30L because it’s small, comfortable and incredibly versatile. Nothing extraordinary from the other backpacks.

It pretty much covers everything. It has a small laptop compartment. Also, it has an added security ‘lockable zippers.’

To make it easier for you, you will notice that I have a soft corner for the Osprey brand and I highly recommend buying Osprey. So, in case you want to check out their products you can directly visit their websitehttps://www.osprey.com/in/en/

Traveling is always fun and inspiring. But you will be surprised to know how much ‘solo traveling‘ are people opting for.

But solo traveling gives you that freedom. You can plan as per your wish. You can go anywhere your soul want.

Focus on yourself

Modern life is tiresome and dull. Traveling is a way to revive your mind and soul. Solo travel can give you what we all look for ‘re-connection with our inner thoughts/soul.’

It will provide you with the time to discover about yourself.

Solo traveling will boost your confidence and growth.

An opportunity to learn about other culture/ meeting new people

If you love meeting new people, then I would say ‘solo traveling‘ can be very helpful and inspirational.

Making a connection with the locals, knowing their culture and tradition can feel refreshing.

You can also meet like-minded travelers on the way.

You can share with them your travel experiences and vice-versa.

Discover more about everything

Going solo on a trip is more engaging as you can explore the destination altogether. You will have more time, and you can utilize it even in learning something new about that place and its people.

Helps in cultivate confidence

Solo traveling isn’t a thing that you can think of doing on each trip. It involves a lot of planning and mental preparation. The whole planning thing, taking care of everything all alone brings together a feeling of a boost in confidence.

Your confidence and strong conscience will make your solo trip comfortable and enjoyable.

Now, over the past few years, the percentage of female solo travel enthusiast has increased dramatically.

As per the travel industry association report, 70% of travel agent says solo female travelers are more in numbers than solo male travel buff.

The world around us is beautiful but never too safe for a woman or girl to travel alone.

Here are some of the tips that could keep you safe while traveling. As safety always remain the priority.

SAFETY TIPS FOR SOLO FEMALE TRAVELERS
Keep all your essential documents always with you

Always carry a bag with you and keep documents like passport, identity card, insurance card, important contact numbers with you.

Before leaving for your trip make sure to make copies of all the documents. It is always better to be prepared for the worst-case scenario.

You never know when things could go wrong. You can also take photos of each document on your phone. I do that often.

Stay connected with your family and close friends

Always let your family and close friends know your details like where you are going, which hotel you are staying and things like that.

If you have any change in plans, update your parents/spouse/friends accordingly, so that they won’t worry much. Get your phone internet access or local wi-fi so that even if you can’t call, you can at least contact them over VOIP.

Keep little bit cash with you always

Having no money in your pocket? Only cards in your wallet?
Its signal trouble is calling my friend.

Mostly in small towns stores and restaurants don’t accept cards. So, imagine after eating or purchasing something, you offer them to pay by card, and you find no atm nearby for cash, what will happen?

You don’t want to ask a stranger for help. You can avoid this kind of situations by keeping some cash with you.

Avoid taking walks at night

In some countries, it’s not safe to walk alone at night. In other words, it is dangerous. Stay at your hotel room and do your planning only at day hours. If you want to go out make sure you go in groups.

Dress appropriately

You can try to adapt to the culture of the destination, for example, you can dress like a local, try to blend in by making an effort to speak their language.

Before going to the destination, do some research on what’s appropriate to wear. As a tourist, if you respect their customs and culture, they will admire you and also make you feel safe.

Keep a map with you

You must keep a paper map with you of the desired destination. Also, you can update google map on your phone which could direct you with details.

Trust your instinct

When you are traveling solo, you have to trust your gut feeling more than anything. If you aren’t feeling safe or if your gut is saying that something is wrong, take precautionary action immediately.

Keep your phone always active with an emergency number like a local police station, hotel help desk number.

Traveling sounds exciting, but some people don’t have the best intentions, so you need to be always beware of your surroundings.

Don’t drink alcohol

I strictly recommend “DON’T CONSUME ALCOHOL’ when you are out alone.

It is important always to be in the right conscience and conscious. Some people might want to take advantage of you.

By saying this, I don’t mean to scare or discourage you, but there is no harm in staying aware and calm, by avoiding the alcohol part.

Conclusion

To the closing, I would say traveling solo is adventurous and irrespective of the gender, a person must at least try and experience the journey.

If you are too afraid then ignore going aboard, you can do ‘solo traveling’ within your country. You can choose any state where you have always wanted to go and explore its beauty on your own.
