“…please note that this shrine took me two LONG years to discover. I had to become not only a shameful and unintentional product junkie for 2 years, but a full-time mad scientist experimenting in my lab (AKA my shower).”
“So, just know that unless your hair was touched by an angel, you’re probably going to have to put in some work and time to find your perfect product line-up.”
ThirstyRoots.com InstaFeature: @nyanelebajoais a beautiful example of how to wear pastel pink hair. Exploring uncommon colors for hair dyeing is becoming a standing trend in hairstyling. And, like Nyané, why not try it on a wig.
As a result, blonde is no longer the must-have hair color. People are choosing many shades of funky colors and dyeing techniques.
From colorful ombres to dip dyed hair tips to flirty pastels, hair color is no longer basic browns, reds, and blondes.

A Curly Way to Style a Lace Wig
Below we break down a tutorial by YouTube vlogger peakmill for her Quick & Easy Tapered Curly Fro Look.
You want to choose a textured wavy lace wig. In the tutorial, she uses a Deep Wave Brazilian Virgin Hair Full Lace Wig by Wow African.
A list of the tools and products you will need:
Light hair oil (argan oil, grapeseed oil, or jojoba oil)
Perm rods – 1/2″ for the back, left, & right side – 3/4″ for the top (amount will vary on hair thickness)
Professional hair cutting sheers / scissors
Styrofoam or Canvas wig head
Before you begin styling, co-wash the wig.
Next, secure the wig on a wig head with pins, and then cut the lace along the hairline.
Step 1: Add light hair oil on wet hair
Step 2: Add setting lotion throughout the wet hair so the curls can last longer.
Step 3: Divide the hair into smaller section with clips.
Step 4: Start with the back, then take a small section of hair and roll and secure the 1/2″ perm rod
Step 5: Repeat rolling with the 1/2″ perm rod until the back, right, and left sides of the hair are complete
Step 6: Then proceed rolling the top with the 3/4″ perm rods until complete
Step 7: Let the wig air dry overnight or use a hood dryer for quicker drying time
Step 8: Take out the rods
Step 9: Begin cutting the hair to desired length in a tapered style. Shorter in the back and sides, and longer up top.
Step 10: Put the wig on and proceed to cut to your style desire.
Step 11: Use the hair pick to fluff
Step 12: Add a part or style to your liking

Finger coils, on any hair length and texture, is a great curly styling option that can last for up to two weeks. Total styling time can take any where from 1 hour – 2 hours depending on hair length and density.
A professional stylist can perfect the style for you so that it last, but it’s simple enough for you DIY ladies.
All you need is some hair styling products, detangling comb, and your finger.
How to create Finger Coils
Start on clean hair: washed and conditioned
Make sure hair is wet throughout coiling the hair so keep a spay bottle filled with water on hand
Add a leave-in conditioner all over your hair for a moisture base
Best to work from the back to the front of the head
Section hair into small rows and clip the rest out of the way
Make sure the hair is detangled before coiling
Add your choice of styling product that has hold like a curling cream, mouse, setting lotion, or gel
In the rows, separate no larger than 1 inch sections to create individual coils
Coil down from the scalp, stretching and twirling the 1 inch section, using your finger, until it begins to form a coil
Repeat until all of the hair is complete
Seal your coils with an oil or balm of your choice
You can air dry and sleep with a satin bonnet overnight, or sit under a hood dryer until you hair is dry.
To create a fuller look, separate the coils in smaller sections, and make sure you twirl the section in the direction of the coil as you pull them apart.
For more uniformed coils, you can use a comb to create this style, also known as comb coils.
Beauty YouTube Vlogger Natural Hair Rebel demonstrates, in the following tutorial, how to do finger coils:
