Recently out of curiosity, I surveyed my oh so loyal Facebook audience with this question: out of all the items I’ve recommended to you, what is one item you have purchased and loved? I always love opening the floor for you guys to share your thoughts, because I learn SO MUCH about you and why you choose to continue reading this blog (thank you for that, by the way!). This time around, it was really interesting to me that almost all of the recommendations you guys listed as your favorites were beauty products that I’ve posted.

I always try to share beauty items I really believe are worth purchasing, whether it’s a $10 mascara or a $30 concealer. When it comes down to it, beauty products are the one thing you really wear every day, so making smart investments in products you know you’ll love is key. That’s why I only share items that are tried and true by my standards (which are very, very high).

All of the items on this list are items that my Facebook followers have purchased (& loved) based on my recommendation. Plus, they’re all items that live in my personal beauty arsenal! I use almost every single one of these on a daily or weekly basis. Keep scrolling to read my thoughts on each individual product!

Best Beauty Buys

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen // I have been using this as my daily SPF and I’m in love. Creates a great canvas for makeup application and provides much needed sun protection.

Tinkle Razors // Always in my arsenal. I’m overjoyed that so many of you have taken up with the dermaplaning movement!!

Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner // The most magical brush cleaner. Brushes are dry after only about an hour and are cleaner than I’ve ever seen them!

Tarte In Bloom Palette // My go-to eyeshadow palette! You really only need one or two solid eyeshadow palettes and I love the neutral shades in this one. I also love that there’s a good mix between matte and shimmery shades!

L’Oreal Voluminous Superstar Mascara // I have yet to find a mascara I like better than this $10 drugstore one! Love that it’s double sided with primer + mascara in one tube.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer // A lighter coverage concealer that I swap in place of Shape Tape when I’m just wearing CC Cream.

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Primer // The primer I always use for mascara no matter what type it is!

Tula Cleanser // I have tried so many cleansers and Tula is my favorite. It has lactic acid to cleanse and exfoliate, chicory root which acts as a natural anti-inflammatory prebiotic, tumeric root that also reduces signs of inflammation, blueberries to protect from free-radicals and probiotics to hydrate and lock in moisture.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer // I always find myself going back to this concealer. It’s a cult favorite, and for good reason!

NYX Butter Gloss // Always always always have this with me. I love color Creme Brulee, but there are tons of other great ones!

It Cosmetics CC Cream // This is already my go-to for everyday makeup, but the SPF also makes it great for summertime! I wear shade Light Medium and will also mix with this CC Cream Bronzer for a touch more color!

Becca Blush // I wear shade “flower child”. It gives you exactly the flush of color you need without making you look overdone!

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand // This will be on every single one of my beauty roundups until they discontinue it. It’s that good. I apply this to my cheek bone, the bridge of my nose, my cupid’s bow or the inner corner of the eye for a pretty glow.

Elta MD SPF 46 // The best everyday SPF. Great for sensitive skin or skin that’s prone to breakouts. I wear this daily under makeup when I’m not wearing the Unseen Sunscreen!

Tula Day and Night Cream // Full of superfoods, probiotics that lock in moisturizer, and vitamin A (aka retinol) that gives you glowing skin! I layer over my Retin-a at night.

M-61 Power Glow Peels // An at home peel with glycolic and salicylic acids that combine to help reduce pore size and fine lines, while chamomile and lavender help calm and soothe skin. Great for after you dermaplane!

My love of Tula and my love have makeup have officially been combined with the launch of Tula’s new Face Filter Blurring & Moisturizing Primer. This revolutionary primer neutralizes the appearance of redness over time, instantly smoothes the appearance of uneven skin tones and helps lock in hydration for a flawless makeup application. I recently tested this new primer under three of my favorite foundations and CC Creams and let me tell you, I was impressed.

Save 20% off Tula.com with promo code CRISTIN. Discount not valid on previous purchases or on purchases of gift
cards, auto-delivery items, or value sets. Discount is VALID on full price items, Starter Kits & Acne Clearing Kits.

The buildable formula in Tula’s new Face Filter Blurring & Moisturizing Primer is weightless and leaves my skin feeling smooth without any residue. It does however leave you with a subtle glow thanks to “glow particles” that create a warm-toned base for makeup. I have used this primer both with and without applying a sunscreen first and the results stayed consistent. In addition to how well the product performs, I also love that this primer is so good for your skin. There are hundreds of primers on the market and most of them are made with harmful ingredients that clog your pores and can lead to breakouts. Tula’s primer, like all of their products, is clean & safe for your skin. It is made with a natural prebiotic, chia seeds, to increase skin’s luminosity, licorice to even the appearance of skin tone, turmeric to fight inflammation and decrease redness and probiotics to lock in hydration.

I noticed that after using this product my makeup had excellent wear and my skin remained very balanced throughout the day without ever getting too oily or dry.

Using Tula’s New Face Blurring Primer

Many of you are also lovers of Tula’s products and have probably already purchased before even making it to this paragraph (don’t forget to use CRISTIN for 20% off). I would recommend using a primer as the last step before your makeup application and pausing for a bit before applying your makeup to let it set. For example, I cleanse, apply serums then sunscreen and then a primer. I pause between each of those steps but after I apply the primer I will brush my teeth and make sure to wash my hands well before starting my makeup. The added time ensure your primer performs to it’s maximum potential!

My History With Tula

If you’ve been following along with my site for any amount of time then you know I’ve used Tula’s products since the beginning. In fact, the first time I ever met face to face with a brand was with the Tula team in their brand new NYC offices in the fall of 2016. I was first drawn to the brand after reading that it was founded by a gastroenterologist who noticed the benefits probiotics & healthy bacteria were providing for her patients. At the time my daughter, Scottie, was just starting to battle Eczema and I was researching the roll that gut health has on our skin.

In a nutshell, probiotics are natural, good bacteria that improve your health from the inside out. Not only should you take probiotics orally (you can buy Tula’s here) but clinical testing has also proved that probiotics are beneficial topically. The same bacteria that calm your stomach also promote the look of skin’s natural balance, lock in moisture and reduce the appearance of inflammation. I have been known to eat inflammatory foods and I rely heavily on Tula to minimize the appearance of redness in my skin.

My Favorite Tula Products

If Tula has a product launch, I test it out. Here are a few of my favorites!

Tula Face Cleanser // I have tried so many cleansers and Tula is my favorite. It has lactic acid to cleanse and exfoliate, chicory root which acts as a natural anti-inflammatory prebiotic, tumeric root that also reduces signs of inflammation, blueberries to protect from free-radicals and probiotics to hydrate and lock in moisture.

Multi-Spectrum Eye Renewal Serum // This serum works to correct dark circles, crow’s feet and puffiness. I put it on morning and night and layer under their eye cream. The cooling metal applicator feels like heaven on your eyes

Multi-spectrum overnight skin rescue treatment  // I tend to get dryer skin in the winter and will occasionally lay off of my retin-a and rotate with this retinol product. This product targets fine lines and wrinkles, increases cell turnover, increases skin elasticity and works to reduce pore size. Plus it hydrates skin and works to fade dark spots! I apply it to a clean face at night.

Exfoliating Treatment Mask  // A great mask to exfoliate dead skin cells on the surface which allows retinol products to be more effective!

Treatment Pads // Great to use before a retinol product, as it exfoliates the surface of the skin and allows the retinol product to be more effective!

Revitalizing Eye Cream // Use this after the eye serum! I love this stuff. It contains olive oil squalene, grape seed oil, natural shea butter and Vitamin C.

Hydrating Day & Night Cream // Full of superfoods, probiotics that lock in moisturizer, and vitamin A that gives you glowing skin! I layer over my Retin-a at night.

So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Scrub // Contains sugar, papaya, and pineapple to exfoliate, along with probiotics (to hydrate and balance) and will leave your skin feeling like a baby’s.

Pro Glycolic Resurfacing Gel // If you use a Retin-A this is a great liquid exfoliator to use in the mornings! It removes old dead skin cells and lets new ones come through, & helps with everything from pore size to discoloration! If you don’t use Retin-a you could start with just this. Glycolic acid is more mild than retinol but is a great exfoliator for the surface of your skin.

Cooling & Brightening Hydrogel Mask // Helps brighten and plump! It’s a sheet mask and it only takes 10 minutes. Helps with inflammation, brightens, and exfoliates.

Anti Aging Kit // This is hands down the best bang for your buck! Great if you want to try out the line without the full investment.

Tula Q&A

Q: What is your favorite Tula Product?
A: In order, my favorites are the new primer, eye serum, cleanser, and day and night cream!

Q: If I could only afford to buy one Tula Product what should I buy?
A: The anti aging kit! With my promo code (CRISTIN) you can get it for under $40. It includes trial sizes of all my favorite products.

Q: What’s better for dry skin and fine lines around eyes, the serum or the eye cream?
A: Both! The serum gets into fine lines, but the cream locks in the serum and adds extra hydration.

Q: Is the Tula Line gentle enough for post peel?
A: Yep! I used the cleanser, day & night cream, and eye products post VI PEEL with no problems.

Q: Are Tula Products safe to use with retinol?
A: Absolutely! I layer my retinol after any cleansing, exfoliating treatments, and/or toning in the evenings only.

Q: Are Tula Products anti aging?
A: Yes! They are not medical grade so I still use a retinol & medical grade Vitamin C, but many of Tula’s products contain both Vitamin C and Vitamin A (retinol)!

Q: What’s the best routine to use with Tula’s line?
A: In the AM, cleanse with the Purifying Cleanser, tone with the Glycolic Resurfacing Gel, use your medical grade Vitamin C, then moisturize with the Day & Night cream and apply SPF. Follow with the Tula primer and then your makeup. At Night, cleanse, tone, apply medical grade Retinol, moisturize, and use the Eye Serum & Eye Cream!

Welcome to my favorite monthly series, What’s In My Beauty Bag! Each month I share the items that are on constant rotation including new favorites, tried and true products I can’t get enough of and everything in between. If you love honest reviews of the products I’m using on a daily basis, then this post is for you! This month I’m introducing a few must-have summer items like the SUN BUM 3-In-1 Conditioner, Coola Makeup Setting Spray and SUPERGOOP! Unseen Sunscreen. Hope you enjoy!

June Beauty Favorites

Products from top to bottom, left to right:

COVERGIRL EXHIBITIONIST MASCARA // I am very very very impressed with this mascara! You should buy it and give it a try. I think you’ll be impressed! Don’t forget to use a primer like the one below.

VOLUMINOUS LASH PRIMER // The primer I always use for mascara no matter what type it is!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIP GLOSS // Use this lip gloss for a beautiful pout and high shine with no stickiness. Shade “Portobello Girl” is the prettiest light pink!

NEUTROGENA LIP SHINE // This lip gloss isn’t pictured because it’s empty! This color is “Flushed Coral” but I also love the color “soft blush” so much!

SUN BUM 3-In-1 CONDITIONER // A leave in conditioner is a must-have summer product for our house full of long wavy hair. This one is a conditioner, detangler and protectand that smells devine. I spray it on my own hair as well as my girls’ strands to control frizz, prevent split ends and bring much needed moisture back to our tresses!

COOLA MAKEUP SETTING SPRAY // A 70 percent organic makeup setting spray that reduces shine, refreshes UV protection, and keeps makeup looking fresh all day. It kind of stings on contact like a sunscreen or a minty spray would but then the cucumber and aloe vera extract calm almost instantly. It also has hyaluronic acid to help soften and hydrate your skin as it reduces the appearance of pores!

SK-II ESSENCE // I’m STILL trying to finish this bottle. I haven’t noticed any drastic differences that it claims but I think that you might just have to only use this to tell the difference? I like how it leaves my skin afterwards and think it’s a great toner but not sold due to the price tag. To be continued…

SUPERGOOP UNSEEN SUNSCREEN // And the most valuable product for June goes to…. this stuff! It’s magic in a bottle, y’all! For the time being it has replaced my beloved Elta MD due to it’s sheer weightlessness and how it preps my makeup. I really wish I could send everyone a bottle because it transforms your skin and makes your makeup look oh-so-good.

IT COSMETICS CC CREAM // This is already my go-to for everyday makeup, but the SPF also makes it great for the beach! I wear shade Light Medium and will also mix with this CC Cream Bronzer for a touch more color!

TARTE SHAPE TAPE CONCEALER // I always find myself going back to this concealer. It’s a cult favorite, and for good reason!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY EYESHADOW PALETTE // Shade “Pillow Talk” is amazing for summer with four perfectly warm shades with pink undertones for a bronzed look.

TARTE CONTOUR PALETTE // This compact contour palette is a no-brainer to have on hand for a summer touchup. Use shade “Farmer’s Market” for contouring your cheekbones and adding a little color to your face, “Summer House” on the apples of your cheeks for a fresh flush and “Beach Getaway” to highlight your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose. Just go easy on the blush, a little bit of “Summer House” goes a long way!

MAYBELLINE EYELINER // This product will give tired eyes an instant boost! Put a little bit on the inner corner or your eye or your waterline to help your eyes look bigger and brighter!

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS BROW PENCIL // This is my favorite eyebrow pencil. The pencil is thin and looks very natural and the pigment stays put all day. I wear shade “taupe”.

NYX EYELINER // A cheap eyeliner that is so easy to apply! It’s an angled tip so you can easily press it to your lash line for a smooth application.

MAC EYESHADOW PRIMER // This is a primer that you can wear solo or as a fantastic base to your eyeshadow. It will really help your shadow stay on and it will help you not use as much eye shadow since the pigment looks so much better with a primer. I wear color “painterly”.

BECCA HYDRA MIST POWDER // This setting powder is AMAZING!! For powders I would 100% use this sale to buy this setting powder! I also love this setting powder. They both blur imperfections and set your makeup so it stays in place! This is a great powder to set your eye concealer as well!

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY HIGHLIGHTER WAND // This will be on every single roundup until they discontinue it. I apply this to my cheek bone, the bridge of my nose, my cupid’s bow or the inner corner of the eye for a pretty glow.

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY HOLLYWOOD CONTOUR WAND // This is the easiest product ever for contouring your nose! You could also use under your cheek bones and blend with a beauty blender.

This post is sponsored by Bloomingdale’s and ShopStyle

Kiehl’s Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream is officially available at Bloomingdale’s! I packed this weightless water cream last week on my trip to Grand Cayman and used it to hydrate my hands, neck and a few dry spots on my face mid-flight. The small jar is easy to throw in your purse or carry-on and the potent cream inside packs a punch! Formulated with hundreds of micronized Calendula petals, this moisturizer gives you luminous, dewy skin in an instant. It also visibly evens skin tone and helps to reduce redness over time. I personally love that a little bit goes a long way and hydrates on contact but doesn’t leave your skin oily or sticky.

Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream // Calendula & Aloe mask // Midnight Recovery Concentrate // Midnight Recovery Eye Cream

This moisturizer is packed with Kiehl’s highest concentrate of Calendula Flower Extract so all you need is a small pea-sized amount onto clean skin morning or night. Calendula oil is a natural oil extracted from marigold flowers and has antifungal and antibacterial properties that are excellent at soothing everything from wounds to eczema. The natural properties in Calendula oil are most often associated with soothing inflammation which is what makes it so good as a moisturizer and why it helps to combat redness. Another great thing about this product is that it’s free of Parabens, Sulfates & Phthalates, all common cosmetic additives that aren’t exactly beneficial for your skin!

After using this new Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream want to explore more of the Calendula collection and will be ordering the Calendula Alcohol Free toner to give a try. I already have and love the Calendula & Aloe mask and I’m very interested in Calendula and its’ ability to combat redness and inflammation, two issues I struggle with on my face. A few other items in my Kiehl’s Collection, all available at Bloomingdale’s, include the Midnight Recovery Concentrate and the Midnight Recovery Eye Cream.

Does it surprise you that I classify myself as a serial over-packer? Yeah, I didn’t think so. Funny enough, my absolute least favorite part of traveling is the packing/unpacking (though I think that’s true for most of humanity). Yet somehow, I always end up with half of my worldly belongings in tow for a 4-night stay out of town. Anybody else?

Zach and I are currently in the Cayman Islands on vacation, and I made a vow to myself to pack only the necessities. Turns out, it’s easier said than done, especially when it comes to beauty products. Like, what do you mean my 87 eyeshadow palettes don’t qualify as necessities!? Anyways, the products below are what made the cut this trip, and I’m really happy with the looks I’ve been able to create with them so far. MVPs are definitely this highlighting wand (perfect for a beachy glow), this CC cream with SPF, and this mascara I’ve been loving lately (only $11!).

CHARLOTTE TILBURY MAGIC CREAM // A moisturizer to prep your skin for makeup! Gives you dewy, glowy skin.

BEAUTY BLENDER SPONGE // A must have! My beauty blender truly goes everywhere with me.

IT COSMETICS CC CREAM // This is already my go-to for everyday makeup, but the SPF also makes it great for the beach! I wear shade Light Medium.

TARTE SHAPE TAPE CONCEALER // I always find myself going back to this concealer. It’s a cult favorite, and for good reason!

KAT VON D CONTOUR DUO // I love this mini palette by Kat Von D. I use it to set my concealer and the bronzer is a perfect natural hue for my skin, not too orange and not too brown.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY SETTING POWDER // A super-fine powder that conceals and illuminates simultaneously. Rose wax and almond oil hydrate the skin throughout the day and enable the powder to blend flawlessly and I love how it reduces shine without being too matte.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY BLUSH // I wear color “Love is the drug” in this two-step blush.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY HIGHLIGHTING PALETTE // Because when you’re on vacation, there’s no such thing as too much glow.

CHARLOTTE TILBRUY HIGHLIGHTING WAND // Use it on cheek bones, cupid’s bow and  the inside corner of your eyes for a summery glow!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY EYESHADOW PALETTE // Four perfectly warm shades for a bronzed look. I brought “Pillow Talk” with me!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIQUID EYELINER // Glides on smoothly and sets quickly to avoid smudging. Make sure to fix any mistakes quickly, though, because it lasts for up to 14 hours!

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS BROW PENCIL // I wear shade “taupe”.

MAYBELLINE WHITE EYELINER // Use to line your waterline and make your eyes POP!

COVERGIRL MASCARA // My current drugstore favorite! I’ve been wearing this on repeat lately.

L’OREAL LASH PRIMER // I always always always apply this primer before mascara. Bonus: it’s only $8!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIPSTICK // This lipstick is enriched with antioxidants and blended with special waxes for all-day wear. I brought along “Kim K” for that perfect beachy nude.

NARS LIP TINT // This hydrating lip oil comes in the cult-favorite shade “Orgasm”. It’s relatively sheer, but universally flattering.

And that’s what’s in my makeup bag this trip! I promise they’re all necessities. Be sure to follow along with our travels on Instagram and let me know YOUR favorite products for a bronzed summer glow!

xx,

Cristin

If you’ve followed my makeup obsession for any amount of time you know I’m somewhat of a raging fan of Charlotte Tilbury. I first learned of the line in early 2018 when I read an article on the release of her Beauty Wand. In the summer of 2018 I was invited to participate in a makeup challenge (that I didn’t win) with the brand to celebrate the launch of Charlotte Tilbury at Sephora and in the fall of 2018 I addended Sephoria in L.A. were I got to attend a makeup class with Charlotte Tilbury and even got the chance to meet her! I love her products, love watching her tutorials online and really love that she is a makeup artist by trade.

Born in London, Charlotte Tilbury has worked as a world-renowned makeup artist for celebrities and models for decades. She lives and breaths makeup and created her own line in 2014 after noticing a lack of products in the marketplace that were not only beautiful and high-quality but that also helped improve your skin! Her looks are iconic, illuminated and all-around breathtaking and her products are as luxurious as they come. She believes that if you have a beautiful canvas then you will have a beautiful painting and every product in her line is focused on creating a beautiful, flawless, airbrushed appearance that radiates light, improves your skin and helps you look and feel your best. I mean sign me up. Here is a look at the products that I love from Charlotte Tilbury!

COMPLETE CHARLOTTE TILBURY HAUL PALETTES

INSTANT LOOK PALETTE // I don’t own this product but I have coveted it for a year give or take so I included it! It contains 7 shades for the ultimate smoky eye including a highlighter for your cheekbones and a blush! If you love a smoky eye or want a great palette for date nights or events look no further!

GLOWING SKIN PALETTE // If you are overwhelmed with all of the options below this would be a great place to start! This palette includes a powder, bronzer, blush and highlighter! The powder is actually the airbrush flawless finish in 2 medium which is what I wear!

PRIME & PREP

MAGIC CREAM // Ok I can’t say enough good things about this product as a moisturizer to prep your skin for makeup! I heard Charlotte talk at Sephoria about how she created this product for the celebrities and models to help them not look jet-lagged or tired and to give them a dewy, glowy complexion. It’s a patented, anti-aging, hydrating cream that stimulates collagen production, fights free radicals and helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles. You apply it sweeping outward and upward to stimulate circulation. She also says that you should tap on your cheeks and under your eyes to help with puffiness and to massage your forehead with circular motions while applying. You would still follow with a primer after this step!

MAGIC EYE RESCUE // Like the magic cream, this magic eye rescue is a must! I use it as a base to my concealer. Charlotte spent over 20 years perfecting this formula and it contains bontanicals to brighten dark circles; saccharide isomerate that smooths and firms; Winter Daphne Stem Cell Extract to improve texture, firmness and elasticity; and retinol which boosts the rejuvenation of skin cells and increases collagen. It also contains Red algae to strengthen and protects your under-eye skin, bionymph peptide to increase collagen and a coconut oil and shea butter mix with vitamins A, C and E to sooth and moisturize. It is jam packed with good-for-you ingredients and you will tell a difference on your under-eyes!

WONDERGLOW FACE PRIMER // This is one of my top 3 favorite primers! It contains collagen-boosting peptides and gives your skin an illuminated glow without being drying, sticky or too thick! The formula blends seamlessly and blurs away lines.

YOUTH GLOW PRIMER // I used every last drop of this product which is why it’s not pictured above. I don’t know what kind of science it involves but it color-corrects on contact to reduce redness and pigmentation, help with dark shadows and brighten skin. If you wanted something that you could wear with just a little concealer and powder I would chose this over the Wonder Glow do to the color-correcting properties.

HOLLYWOOD FLAWLESS FILTER // While I prefer the combination of Wonder Glow and Magic foundation, some people like this product because it can be used as a primer, foundation or highlighter.

FACE

MAGIC FOUNDATION // After much consideration I think I’m ready to commit in writing that this foundation is at the top of my list. It has vitamin C to fight aging & free radicals, hyaluronic acid to boost hydration and plump skin and mushroom extract to tighten pores!! I’m in a shade 5 and I absolutely love how it covers, how it feels and how good is stays put!

MAGIC AWAY CONCEALER // This is my go-to concealer when I don’t want something as full-coverage as Shape Tape. It’s water-resistant, lasts for 15 hours and helps to cover redness and pigmentation like a champ!

MAGIC POWDER // This ultra-fine, paraben-free setting powder blurs imperfections and reduces shine. It’s a light-diffusing, soft powder blurs your imperfections and helps to mattify your skin without being chalky or thick. I love that it’s made with veggie powder instead of talc since talc is terrible for your pores. I also love that it contains brightening bio-mimetic mica, amino acids to help improve the texture of your skin and tsukai oil, a Japanese oil that is a fast-absorbing mositurizer. It also cotains squalene which is a natural olive oil derivative that helps to soften your skin. I wear the shade, “medium”.

HEALTHY GLOW TINTED MOISTURIZER // This unisex product is pretty much magic in a bottle. It comes out clear and morphs to your skin tone on contact. It has encapsulated chameleon natural tan pigments that activate upon application, and once blended, the different tones deliver a natural color result based on your skin. This is an excellent tinted moisturizer for summer!

FLAWLESS FINISH SETTING POWDER //  If you look in my purse at any given moment you will find this compact. It’s a super-fine powder that conceals and illuminates simultaneously. Rose wax and almond oil hydrate the skin throughout the day and enable the powder to blend flawlessly and I love how it reduces shine without being too matte.

LIPS

COLLAGEN LIP BATH // This product has been a staple in my bag since I bought it! It’s a hybrid lip enhancer that moisturizes your lips with marine collagen and softens them with coconut oil. There is a shimmery pigment that reflects the light helping your lips look fuller and peppermint extract that cools on contact.

KISSING LIPSTICK // I don’t love having to swear on Instagram to pronounce this one but “Bitch Perfect” is the best color!!  This lipstick is also enriched with antioxidants and blended with special waxes for all-day wear.

HOT LIPS LIPSTICK // My second favorite lipstick is the Hot Lips Lipstick in color “KIM K”. It’s the perfect nude lip and looks great with the COLLAGEN LIP BATH.

LIP CHEAT LIP LINER // I wear “Pillow Talk” in this velvety liner that allows you to resize your lips in a cynch. It’s called a lip-cheat because you can over-line your lips and it won’t move thanks to the no-smudge, waterproof formula.

EYES

PILLOWTALK EYESHADOW PALETTE // I bought this palette after Charlotte used it during the Victorias’ Secret show last year! It has the prettiest, natural mauves and pinks and you can use it to create daytime looks to evening looks. All of the instructions for where to use which color are on the back and you can also get the info in the product information section.

LUXURY EYESHADOW PALETTE // Another one of my top products from Charlotte Tilbury are these eyeshadow palettes. Honestly you don’t need a huge eyeshadow palette because the average person will use the same 2-4 colors on repeat. These palettes not only have unbeatable pigments but they are so easy to use! My favorite color is The Dolce Vita followed by The Golden Goddess.

CREAM EYESHADOW // I haven’t tried this product yet but I just ordered it from Sephora in the color “Jean”. I’m excited to use it across my eyelid to enhance my shadows.

CHAMELEON EYESHADOW PENCIL // I love a chunky eyeshadow pencil and this one does not dissapoint! The color is long-lasting and will stay in place all day! I have it in bronzed garnet which is technically for green eyes but I love how it makes my blue/grey eyes a little more grey/green.

LIQUID EYELINER // Charlotte’s signature feline flick cat-eye is created using this pen. It glides on smooth and sets quickly to avoid smudging. Make sure to fix any mistakes quickly though because it lasts for up to 14 hours!

EYELINER PENCIL // This waterproof eye pencil glides on like a liquid and melts into your skin, staying in play for up to 14 hours. Crushed pearl powder stimulates collagen and hydrates the surface of your lid. For application tips click here.

LEGENDARY LASHES MASCARA // When a mascara says it delivers 500% more volume to lashes then it better be buildable! This one is and it layers perfectly without getting chunky allowing you to create thick, long, lashes. It’s long wearing, smudge-proof and humidity-resistant.

HIGHLIGHT & CONTOUR

BEAUTY LIGHT WAND // The beauty wand is the one Charlotte Tilbury product I could never live without. It highlights without making you look glittery and the rose-golden color suits an array of skin tones. I apply it to my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, on the inner corners of my eyes and on my cupid’s bow.

COUNTOUR WAND // This buildable contour wand is perfect for contouring your nose! You can also “follow the hollow” and contour your cheeks or add contouring to the sides of your forehead but just make sure to blend well!

CHEEK TO CHIC BLUSH  // I wear color “Love is the drug” in this two-step blush. I love the natural colors and how it illuminates your skin with no glitter thanks to light flex technology that captures light  and re-emits it! The center color is used on the apples of your cheeks to make them “pop” and then the outer color is used to blend up your cheekbone!

BRONZE & GLOW CONTOUR DUO // If you want to purchase one compact for highlighting and contouring this would be a great one! The golden tones match a variety of skin tones and it’s easy to apply if the wands are intimidating. Use the Sculpt bronzer along the lower cheek, jawline and sides of the nose and use the Highlight to illuminate the top of cheekbones, bridge of the nose, under your eyebrow and cupid’s bow.

TOOLS

POWDER AND SCULPT BRUSH // I am obsessed with this brush! It has the perfect tapered edges for setting your under-eyes and applying powder to your T-zone. I also love that the barrel is tapered and won’t roll of your counter.

COMPLEXION BRUSH // This is another brush that I have used non-stop. It’s a synthetic bristle with a large flat head for flawless base application and a small head perfect for contouring, concealing under your eyes or around your nose!
MY TOP 5 MUST HAVE ITEMS

If I were only going to buy 5 products it would without a doubt be the BEAUTY LIGHT WAND first and foremost. I would also include the MAGIC FOUNDATION and then FLAWLESS FINISH SETTING POWDER because I think they are the best foundation and powder on the market right now. I would also include the PILLOWTALK EYESHADOW PALETTE because I think the colors are unique and just so good together that it would be hard to find dupes. Lastly I think I would have to go with the MAGIC EYE RESCUE because I’m a little addicted to under-eye moisturizers and it just feels so good on your skin!

NEW ITEMS I WANT TO TRY

Now let’s chat the items I want to try. We’ve already mentioned the INSTANT LOOK PALETTE but I’m also dying to try her new GLOWGASM FACE PALETTE and the GLOWGASM BEAUTY WANDS. Honestly I don’t know how anything will rival the Light Want but I’m curious. I also have my eye on the LIP LUSTER GLOSS, the SHEET MASK and the CLAY MASK!

If you’ve made it this far then you seriously deserve a prize. How about the MAGIC CREAM, WONDERGLOW FACE PRIMER, LIP CHEAT in PILLOW TALK and the BEAUTY LIGHT WAND?!? Just leave a comment on today’s post telling me or asking me anything makeup related including what you liked about the post, what you want to try, what your favorite products are or how to use something!! I’ll announce the winner in Friday’s post! Just make sure that you follow me on instagram and subscribe to my emails to be eligible to win!

xx,

Cristin

Today is the last day of the Sephora Beauty Insider event! Rouge members get 20% off with code ‘HEYROUGE.” VIBs get 15% off any purchase using the code ‘HEYVIB’ and Insiders get 10% off using ‘HEYINSIDER.’ Here are my Top 10 Items from the sale with a few bonuses because I couldn’t help myself. For more of my top picks and the most popular items from readers of Cristincooper.com, go check out this post.

Here are the items that I think would be wise purchases from the Sephora sale! I’ll be breaking down each of these items on Instagram shortly and showing you a great “every day” look. They are listed in the order I would apply them.

ONE : FOUNDATION // Pick a great everyday cc cream or foundation! Lately I’ve been loving mixing this Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow with a little of Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Foundation (shade 5). I feel like it gives me an illuminated coverage. I also included itCosmetics CC cream (light/medium) since that is my standard go-to for everyday makeup. If you’re looking for a great brush I love this one and I also stock up on a new Beauty Blender during this sale. If you have breakouts put a little of this concealer on them before applying your foundation!

TWO : EYESHADOW // You could do eyeshadow first or after you do your makeup. I find that this Too Faced Eyeshadow Palette has a good amount of falloff (aka some of the pigment gets on your cheeks) so I typically do my under eye concealer after I apply. My favorite colors are cashmere bunny, push-up and silk teddy. Now would be a good time to also buy my all-time favorite palette by Tarte.

THREE : CONCEALER // This Charlotte Tilbury concealer has been my go-to as of lately. It does a great job covering without being cakey. I wear shade 5!

FOUR : SET & CONTOUR // I love this mini palette by Kat Von D. I use it to set my concealer and the bronzer is a perfect natural hue for my skin, not too orange and not too brown. I love this brush to set my under-eye powder with.

FIVE : SETTING POWDER // While I love this Becca setting powder and this Charlotte Tilbury setting powder, I think that this translucent setting powder by Laura Mercier is best in category. It’s works for every skintone, every level of oiliness and it is available in a mini size!

SIX : BLUSH // My favorite blush is made by Becca and in color “Flowerchild”. It’s a lot like “Orgasm” by Nars but without any orange tone or sheen. The one pictured was from a two in one with Champagne pop, my favorite powder highlighter, but it’s discontinued.

SEVEN : HIGHLIGHTING // This highlighting wand is a miracle product and I haven’t been able to find anything remotely similar. I use it on my cheek bones, cupid’s bow and even on the inside corner of my eyes!

EIGHT : BROWS // Anastasia Brow Wiz. Buy 5. I wear shade “taupe”.

NINE : LASHES // I love Covergirl Exhibitionist and L’Oreal Voluminous Superstar mascara but I do think that this new mascara by Kat Von D is pretty great. If you have a favorite mascara at Sephora, now is the time to buy! See more of my favorite mascaras on this post. I will say that no matter what mascara you use, you definitely need to use this primer before.

TEN : LUXURY LIP ITEMS // If you have a favorite fancy lip product now is the time to buy! My favorite fancy lipstick is YSL Le Nu (basic nude) and I can’t get enough of this Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Gloss or this Laneige Lip Glowy Balm (color grapefruit).

The Sephora Beauty Insider event is here and starting today Rouge members get 20% off with code ‘HEYROUGE.” If you’re a VIB member or Sephora Insider, the sale starts for you on May 2 and goes through May 6! When the time comes VIB members get 15% off any purchase using the code ‘HEYVIB’ and Insiders get 10% off using ‘HEYINSIDER.’

MY TOP 25 PICKS

To get you started here are my top 25 items from Sephora! I use every single one of these items with the exception of the Obagi Vitamin C because I use a medical grade vitamin C serum. I included the Obagi because people rave about it and it is a very good product! I know I will get questions about my 3-5 “must-have” products which is a terrible thing to ask a beauty enthusiast but I’ll give it a try. I without a doubt will be buying more of this highlighter wand, a couple brow liners to last me all year and more of these treatment pads. If you don’t already own this eyeshadow, this cc cream or this setting powder I would say those are “must have” products! Another item that I can’t believe I left out are these eyeshadow bricks from Charlotte Tilbury! “Pillow Talk” and “Dolce Vita” are my favorite colors!

READER FAVORITES

Here are a few of my favorite products that also happen to be the 15 most-purchased items by CC.com readers. I use this dry shampoo foam pretty much every day and it is absolutely my favorite. It smells so great and gives my hair so much volume! I also have been seeing good results with this SK-II treatment essence. Honestly it’s so expensive that during this sale is the only time I would buy it. Another product that is so great are these hyaluronic eye patches. They instantly brighten up tired and dry eyes!

There are also so many great tools and brushes that you can get for 20% off! I love my Nuface Mini, my Foreo and really want to try the home microneedling device. Speaking of things I want to try, check out my wish list below. Comment below and let me know what you are shopping for or what you bough! I always love your feedback!

Welcome to April’s installment of What’s In My Beauty Bag where I give you a rundown of the products I’m currently using consistently, reviewing, and/or loving! This month we have some new additions like this Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Gloss and an OBAGI Moisturizer as well as some old favorites like my hilighter wand, the contour set I’m loving and the eyeshadow palette I’ve been wearing non-stop. Continue reading for the scoop on why these products made the cut for April’s roundup!

TOO FACED EYESHADOW // This is the eyeshadow palette I’ve been using daily! I’ve been using “cashmere bunny” on the outer corners of my lid and in the crease, “silk teddy” on my brow bone and the inside corner of my eye and “sexpresso” to deepen the outside corner crease when I want a little more drama. All of the shades are so pretty that you really can’t go wrong!

BEAUTY BLENDER // I’m trying out different beauty blenders and this one from Target has been good. All in all I think I like the actual Beauty Blender more but I’m going to keep using this one to see if it gets better as it’s used.

BECCA UNDEREYE BRIGHTENER // This is just the best brightener for your under-eye! Apply it after a moisturizer and before your foundation and concealer.

NEUTROGENA LIP SHINE // This lip gloss isn’t pictured because it’s empty! I love the color “soft blush” so much!

MAC EYESHADOW PRIMER // This is a primer that you can wear solo or as a fantastic base to your eyeshadow. It will really help your shadow stay on and it will help you not use as much eye shadow since the pigment looks so much better with a primer.

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY HIGHLIGHTER WAND // Can’t stop. Won’t stop. I apply this to my cheek bone, the bridge of my nose, my cupid’s bow or the inner corner of the eye for a pretty glow.

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY COLLAGEN LIP GLOSS // This is a lip plumper and collagen treatment in one. I can’t tell a ton on the plumping side but I do think it helps to hydrate and give the illusion of fuller lips.

TATCHA EXFOLIATING CLEANSER // I’ve been reading up a ton on J-Beauty (Japanese Beauty… more on that later) and am trying out the “double cleansing” method. First I cleanse to remove my makeup and then I’m using this exfoliating cleanser. I’ve been doing this for about a week and love it so far but will report back after further use!

BYE BYE BREAKOUT // The best concealer for breakouts, period.

PILLOWTALK BLUSH // I have been wearing this recently and really like it. I don’t put on a ton because it’s a darker shade than I’m used to but I think it does a great job of accenting the apples of your cheeks while looking natural.

KAT VON D CONTOUR SET // I originally bought this to travel with and have been using it every day to highlight and contour. I use the bronzer everywhere I normally put bronzer and use the highlighter to set my under-eye concealer!

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY CONCEALER // This is the concealer I’ve been wearing for daily coverage in lieu of Shape Tape. I love Shape Tape but it can be very full coverage and if you’re just wearing a light cc cream it might look too harsh.

OBAGI MOISTURIZER // My girlfriend Jordan Harper recommended I use this as a moisturizer so I’m giving it a whirl. So far, so good!

MAKEUP FOREVER COVER FOUNDATION // I’ve ran out of my cc cream and finished up a few other foundations I was testing so I’m using this product again! This was my ride or die foundation for years and I really do love it so!

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY WONDERGLOW PRIMER // Another item that is back into my rotation is this wonderglow primer. Whenever I wear a foundation like the above I try to use a primer to really help it look smooth and natural. This primer also gives you a subtle boost of luminance and is great for your skin!

NYX EYELINER // The angled tip on this eye liner makes it very easy to link your lids. Well, as easy as it could be!

CHARLOTTE TILLBURY EYEBROW PENCIL // I’m also out of my Brow Wiz and have been using this liner in “taupe”. I really like it but I find that the tip isn’t as precise as Brow Wiz. Still a great product and I intend on using it until it’s out!

MAYBELLINE EYELINER // This product will give tired eyes an instant boost! Put a little bit on the inner corner or your eye or your waterline to help your eyes look bigger and brighter!
