When you are planning your next trip, the very first thing that troubles you to no extent is the comfort level of the hotel where you will be staying. However, this tension is not for your comfort level. Rather this is something for the VIP who will accompany you on this trip- your pet dog.
Well, they aren’t any less than being the very important person in your life. Perhaps, they are the most important ones since you will ever be able to replace them. When they give you their blackmailing puppy eyes, you aren’t able to resist yourself from giving in to their demands. And when they come running to you, wagging their tail, that moment is the most overwhelming one for you. They wait all the day patiently, looking at the door for your return. The way they wake you up from your sleep with small nudges is the best alarm.
So, when you will be taking them along with you to any trip, you will be the one to ensure that their stay at the hotels is comfortable and they are feeling to be at home and not in some unknown place. Dogs usually have a tendency to retreat inside a shell if they do not feel comfortable with someone or at some place. So, we have presented you the list of six basic things you can do to ensure a comfortable stay for your pet dog at the hotel.
CHECK THE CHARGES AND THE RESTRICTION TERMS
Whenever you visit a place, you will find two different hotels- one with NO PETS ALLOWED glow sign and the others, which will allow you to live with pets. However, in those hotels where you will be allowed to carry the pets, you will find some rules and regulations. These rules and regulations are in order to maintain a healthy environment and safeguard the privacy of other tourists who will check in the hotel without pets.
So, before you put your pet in the carrier and tag them along with you, make sure that you are aware of the charges the hotel has fixed for pets. These charges are different for different pets and in some cases, the charges vary according to the age also. Also, check the restrictions you will have so that you won’t have to face any problem in the future.
PAY A VISIT TO THE PLACE TO CHECK THE SURROUNDINGS
After you have decided on the hotel, don’t forget to visit the place personally or search for the real pictures. Make sure that the hotel has a spacious garden or clear land where you can go on a walk with your dog. Also, you can go on a run with your dog. However, don’t forget the leash and the belt on your trip because that will help you a lot in maintaining the morning schedule of your pet. Here is the list of some of the best dog running leads that are frequently used by the pet owners!

LOOK FOR THE EXTRA PET SERVICES
Some hotels provide extra care to your dog in case you are traveling for sightseeing and won’t be able to carry your pet. For example, it will become quote risky in carrying your pet if you are going for a safari in a jungle or in mountain trekking. This is why some hotels provide playhouse for the dogs who are their guests. Check this with the hotel management and then decide the hotel.
The playrooms will keep your pet busy and they might make new friends. So, you won’t have to worry about their well-being or hire a babysitter.
CHOOSE THE GROUND FLOOR ROOM
Always choose the ground floor rooms because that will give you an advantage of staying freely with your pet. You won’t have to climb the stair with your dog or won’t have to carry them to the elevator. Also, ground floor rooms will give you more space for letting your dog run or walk freely. Sometimes, the ground floor rooms are attached to the backyard, and hence you can allow your dogs to take a run anytime.
OPT FOR THE APARTMENT STYLED OR SUITS FOR YOUR STAY
The apartment-style rooms or the suites are quite spacious and hence your pet won’t feel suffocated within the rooms. They can even run or play around in such spacious rooms.
TAKE A NOTE OF PEOPLE WHO WILL COME CLOSE TO YOUR PET
Another most important thing that you need to take care of is the people who will encounter your pet. Make sure that they mean no harm because you will be amidst unknown persons in an unknown place.
While taking your dog on a trip, the first thing that you need to ensure that they are comfortable. Ensuring this, you will make them the happiest organism as dogs love to be taken care of.
Due to the increased awareness about healthy eating, everyone has become very much conscious of what to put in their mouth. When it comes to your own health, you try to make the right food choices as much as you can. You may know the importance of a healthy diet including best ingredients such as fruits, vegetable, wholesome grains for your overall growth and well-being.
Same is the case with your dog as its health is as important as yours. There is no difference between feeding yourself and your furry friend. You need to know what kind of food ingredients are good for your dog. If you are giving them commercially available dog food then you need to read the ingredients’ list on food packet to pick the right food for your furry friend. In this article, we will be telling you some of the best dog food ingredients to feed your dog to ensure its better health and to make right purchasing decisions.
By far the healthiest and important food for dogs is meat. It is a staple in a dog’s diet. They get most of their energy and protein from meat such as chicken, fish, beef, and rabbit. Most of the commercial dog food gets the protein from real meat sources. It is mostly written as the word ‘’meat meal’’ on the label. So make sure you pick the food that has meal written on it.
2) Fruits and Vegetables
In order to ensure a balanced diet, you need to give them a fair amount of fruits and vegetables. In fruits, you can give them apples, carrots, cranberries, and blueberries. Apples provide them with fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants. Cranberries can be helpful in dental hygiene as they can kill certain bacteria and also can help with urinary tract infection in dogs. While blueberries are rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, E, and fiber. These are an amazing treat for your dog but don’t feed too much of these as it can cause diarrhea. Give vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, and sweet potatoes to your dog to boost its energy and improve the overall health. Broccoli is anti-carcinogen and can relieve many skin and heart conditions especially among older dogs. Carrots can be an amazing snack for your dog. It has vitamin B, C, K and fiber in it.
3) Mineral Salt
Dogs need salt in a very small amount to fulfill their mineral requirements. The best super nutritious and pure salt is Himalayan pink salt. Visit this website below to know more about this salt. It is packed with 84 minerals and trace elements which includes iodine, calcium, zinc, potassium iron, and manganese. These minerals are very good for your dog’s health. It helps in digestion, lowering blood pressure, building strong bones, balancing pH level, and most importantly reduces water retention in dogs. You can either pour it onto the food or use it in the form of salt licks which are simply the blocks of salt. It is very easy for the dog to lick these mineral salt licks.
Dogs need vitamins in different small quantities depending on their overall diet for growth and maintenance. Some of the needed vitamins are vitamin A, B, C, D, E, K, and Choline. They help with metabolism, digestion and also help to keep blood cells healthy. B-vitamins include biotin, folate, pyridoxine, niacin, riboflavin, and beta-carotene. Vitamin A is very good for the dog’s skin and coat. Vitamin E is helpful for your dog’s better immune system.
5) Good Fats
Good high-quality fats are essential for proper functioning of cells and digestion. Good fats include Omega-3 and Omega-6, fish oils, olive oil, and canola oil. These fats boost up the energy level and also help the dog to absorb certain vitamins. Another amazing benefit of these fats is that they help to maintain the coat healthy and shiny.

SAVE THEM ALL®
Can you imagine an America where no pet is killed in a shelter again simply for being unwanted? We can. Led by Best Friends Animal Society, the NKLA initiative is poised to serve as a model for how the entire nation can become no-kill, with no pet ever having to die in a shelter again simply because they do not have a home. Since the launch of NKLA in 2012, the number of pets being killed in L.A. city shelters has decreased by 82%. Join us. Together, we can Save Them All®.
The Giraffe; the worlds tallest animal on land. They are graceful, beautiful creatures with long legs that allow them to run up to 35 miles an hour and for a span of 10 miles. It is always an incredible experience seeing these animals in real life because of the elegance they portray.
According to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, the giraffe is now on the endangered species list. We have seen a 40% drop in population since 1985. They are now facing an even bigger threat of extinction than the elephant.
Why such drastic losses? Oliver Milman reports in The Guardian that "giraffes have suffered from loss of habitat, disease and illegal hunting for bushmeat. They also face the risk of collisions with vehicles and power lines. But the petitioners argue that the species is facing added pressure from “trophy” hunters who travel to Africa to shoot their big-game quarry. These hunters overwhelmingly come from the US."
“There’s a strong tendency to think that familiar species (such as giraffes, chimps, etc.) must be OK because they are familiar and we see them in zoos,” Duke University conservation biologist Stuart Pimm, tells the Associated Press. In fact, giraffes have silently been going extinct across Africa over the last century. The animal is already gone from seven countries, Burkina Faso, Eritrea, Guinea, Malawi, Mauritania, Nigeria and Senegal. (Earth First Journal by Jason Daley)
Now through the end of May, a portion of profits from Gilbert the Farting Giraffe will be made to the Giraffe Conservation Organization. They are the only NGO in the world that concentrates on the conservation of giraffe in the wild through Africa.
